Information security is the protection of personal and non-personal data from various threats to guarantee privacy. For business practices, data security can reduce business risk, and increase the return of investment and business opportunities. In designing information system security systems, there are information security aspects that need to be considered. Many threats will come before the information circulating. Information is a matter that will be targeted by wild parties. Cryptographic algorithms are needed to protect data from these threats. Data Encryption Standard (DES) belongs to the symmetry cryptography system and is classified as a block cipher type. DES operates on 64-bit block size. DES encrypts 64 plaintext bits into 64-bit ciphertext using 56 private key bits or subkeys. The internal key is generated from an external key that is 64 bits long. The DES method is an excellent cryptographic technique used to secure data. DES has 16 rounds to ensure safer data against unexpected attacks. Applying DES to data encryption will be very useful for protecting data.

The advancement of the data communication technologies has increased the traffic of data exchange over the internet and at the same time created the opportunity of data attack by various party. This paper present Time Performance Analysis Of Advanced Encryption Standard And Data Encryption Standard in Data Security Transaction. In this study we proposed an AES algorithm with different key size, and different file format. Our aim is to safely to transfer the file for using the AES algorithm. Proposed algorithm has done by analyzing the different time taken for both AES and DES, experiments were done by three different file format which were text, image, and voice. Each file format type was tested with five different file sizes. The result of each experiments were analysed and it was confirmed that the AES algorithm have better performance in term of time taken as compared to DES.

Current information can be delivered quickly without knowing the geographical boundaries using the internet. However, the information transmitted can be intercepted by the middle of the road which is not desired, then the security of the data actually becomes a very important issue. The development of computer systems and networks and the interconnection through the Internet has increased, of course, require data security and reliable message in order to avoid the attack. To secure internet data or message network necessary cryptographic encryption methods, one method of data encryption that there is a method of data encryption standard (DES) and subsequently inserted into the Lakeside digital images (steganography) using the method of least significant bit (LSB).

Steganography and cryptographic methods are used together with wavelets to increase the security of the data while transmitting through networks. Another technology, the digital watermarking is the process of embedding information into a digital (image) signal. Before embedding the plain text into the image, the plain text is encrypted by using Data Encryption Standard (DES) algorithm. The encrypted text is embedded into the LL subband of the wavelet decomposed image using Least Significant Bit (LSB) method. Then the inverse wavelet transform is applied and the resultant image is transmitted to the receiver. The receiver will perform the same operations in reverse order.

In recent days, increasing numbers of Internet and wireless network users have helped accelerate the need for encryption mechanisms and devices to protect user data sharing across an unsecured network. Data security, integrity, and verification may be used due to these features. In internet traffic encryption, symmetrical block chips play an essential role. Data Encryption Standard (DES) and Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) ensure privacy encryption underlying data protection standards. The DES and the AES provide information security. DES and AES have the distinction of being introduced in both hardware and applications. DES and AES hardware implementation has many advantages, such as increased performance and improved safety. This paper provides an exhaustive study of the implementation by DES and AES of field programming gate arrays (FPGAs) using both DES and AES. Since FPGAs can be defined as just one mission, computers are superior to them.

Internet is the prime vehicle to disseminate information from one place to another. Providing security to data is a major issue in transmitting data. One way of providing security to the data is encryption and decryption. Normal encryption is the way of changing the plaintext into cipher text using encryption and decryption algorithm and key. Literature reported different methods for encryption. An attempt is made in this paper to propose a modified encryption and decryption process performed with modified cellular automata rules. Cellular automata is idealized parallel processing machine which depends upon the cell value which is updated based on updating rule, which involves the cell and other cell values in a particular neighbourhood .Discrete references were made in the literature on the application of cellular automata rules. However lot more work remains to be done in this area. An attempt is made in this paper to provide encryption and decryption with cellular automata rules, using Data Encryption Standard (DES) and Advance Encryption Standard (AES) algorithms. They are operated at various stages, with the number of stages involved in sequential and cellular automata operating parallel. The major contribution of present work is, to develop methodology for identifying and application of 1D and 2D cellular automata rules and to fix the issues and challenges there in. A modified cellular automata set of rules are considered to develop 3D cellular automata rules for improved safety. Further a comparison is provided between existing 1, 2D automata rules versus the modified 3D cellular automata rules with respect to certain parameters. Keywords : Internet, Security, Cipher text, Plaintext, Cell value.

Currently, digital systems that are able to meet major security restrictions are increasingly being demanded, both in the military and in commercial areas. Data security can be achieved by cryptographic algorithms. An important encryption algorithm known as data encryption standard (DES) was implemented in field programmable gate array (FPGA) in different synchronous architectures. In this paper, we have proposed the implementation of the DES algorithm in FPGA, in the asynchronous pipeline style. Compared to the implementation in FPGA using two different project styles, the proposed asynchronous obtained the average increase of 14.9% in throughput and the average reduction of 66.3% in latency.
