In January 1996, Cogito, the U.S. challenger, defeated the Australian defender, Yellow Pages Edge, by the score of 4–0 in the 22nd running of the International Catamaran Challenge Trophy. This brought the trophy, better known as the Little America's Cup, back to the United States after an eleven-year stay in Australia. The Cogito project was three years in length and encompassed the design/construction phase, initial sailing and tuning at her home, the Bristol Yacht Club in Bristol, Rhode Island, and the final training and competition at the race venue, McCrae Yacht Club on Port Philip Bay south of Melbourne, Australia. This paper will cover all phases of the project from the design through the racing.

This paper presents the practical application of concepts, and some methods of risk analysis, to check the possibility of overcoming a water level of project in the spillway of dam Orós, by excess of influent flow. Also evaluated the empirical formulas contained in the original design. Due to the difficulty of obtaining design data from the dam, since the end of construction date of January, 11, 1961, we minimize the effects of some variables in the calculations, leading us to the consequent simplification of the scenario under study. For a better evaluation and characterization of the setting, some variables in the model such as water level, accumulation and flow of the spillway, had updated their data to June 28, 2011. We have demonstrated the importance of risk analysis for project design, construction and operation of large reservoirs, and the need for ongoing assessments of works of this nature.

Building Information Modeling is from the information technology used in construction industry. It gets the characteristic of each node in the whole life cycle of the construction project through the operation of the AEC project information. So as to provide timely, accurate and sufficient information for participants, especially the construction side in project, and ultimately achieve the project design, construction, operational efficiency and improve the quality. BIM technology has broad application prospects in the college infrastructure project management which lack of professional management and inefficient investment.

At the end of the preliminary project design (PPD) phase an aspiring entopreneur should have a clear idea of the scope and scale of the project being proposed. Hence, during PPD a number of aspects of the facilities must be considered. These are here dealt with in terms of basic questions that should first be answered about the project as a whole; project location issues; to what degree the facility is to be integrated or segregated into different units; what functionality is to be housed within the various building envelopes; and how safety and hygiene concerns can be addressed. As well, three ancillary issues are discussed that may affect facility design, construction and operation: the development of new production organisms that can grow on low-cost feeds; the possibility of disease evolution; and the matter of animal welfare.

This report is dedicated to the role of the web site as an important tool for presenting business on the Internet. Classification of site types has been made in terms of their application in the business and the types of structures in their construction. The Models of the Life Cycle for designing business websites are analyzed and are outlined their strengths and weaknesses. The stages in the design, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of a business website are distinguished and the activities and requirements of each stage are specified.
