Abstract Avocado is one of the leading fruit commodities with high competitiveness and a source of growth for farmers’ welfare in rural areas in Indonesia. This paper aims to analyze the performance of avocado supply chain management in the Garut and Bandung Districts. The analysis focused on five components of supply chain management: planning source of avocado, procurement, processing, distribution, and receiving of products. Data collection is conducted through survey methods and focus group discussion (FGD) with actors on each supply chain node according to purpose and market segment. The results showed that the lack of variety, quantity, and continuity of supply is consistent with the dynamic of market demand and domestic and global consumer preferences. The performance of supply chain implementation for avocado at the planning level was at 45%–90%, product distribution performance was at a moderate level at 25%–80%, delivery of goods was at a good level at 70%–83%, and receiving product performance was at 0%–100%. Strategies to restrain the entry of imported fruit and penetrate the avocado fruit export market are required to improve product competitiveness, quality management, and integrated product chain management.

The fast-growing number of Halal integrity issues has attracted the scholar's debate on improving integrity in practicing the Halal supply chain. To investigate how firms comply with Halal procedures in supply chain may not possibly provide much potential research gaps. The application of technology in improving Halal supply chain management on blockchain technology should be given urgent priority. The aim of this chapter is to explore the possibility to integrate blockchain technology to improve the use of Halal supply chain management. Blockchain technology will help the Halal based oriented firm in the supply chain to trace the source of the raw materials, products, labeling information, and Halal product distribution to strengthen the supply chain networks. Blockchain technology-driven Halal supply chain shall overcome and surpass issues related to Halal integrity and certifications which could also have an impact globally.

Supply chain management is a fairly new creature and one that has evolved out of a variety of different enterprise functions over the past two decades. Traditionally, the majority of activities within supply chain management were related to the physical transport of goods from one point to another. Today, we understand supply chain management to include a broader range of activities such as demand planning, purchasing, warehousing, and transportation at the very least. Many authors will also throw production, product, and package design as well as marketing into the definition (Dornier et al., 1998; Schary & Skjøtt-Larsen, 2001; Taylor, 1997; Gourdin, 2001). For the context of this article, we refer to supply chain management as activities that are related to the planning and fulfillment of market demand. All of the activities within supply chain management can be performed by one or more than one legal entity. We further understand supply chain management as a business process rather than a function or department within a given company. Figure 1 below illustrates the set of core and potential activities as well as supporting ones such as process, performance, and information management.

Fisheries have an important role in the economic and security aspects of the border region. Fishing in Natuna is carried out by local fishermen using small vessels with simple fishing gear. The distribution system with ships was hampered due to the Natuna sea area factors and the limited number and frequency. The research aimed to find out the supply chain management of fish in the Natuna Island border area to meet local, regional and export needs. The research used a qualitative approach and snowball information. The result showed that market formation was based on the type and quality of fish caught. Production of local fishermen was sold to the Natuna market, regional markets (Pontianak and Tanjung Pinang), and export market to Singapore, Mainland China, Hongkong, and Malaysia. Type of fish with premium quality (grouper, red snapper) was exported and sold to restaurants, with oligopolistic market characteristics. The premium quality fish market share was controlled by a large trader (Tauke) who has links to islands far Natuna (Pulau Laut, Pulau Tiga, Midai and Serasan). Non-premium quality fish marketing was carried out by fishing boat owners or collectors for local consumption and regional markets.

Since the 1960s, the competition between enterprises has been replaced by the competition between supply chains because of rapid economic development. For the purpose of enhancing the competitiveness of supply chain by improving the level of supply chain management, the resources of enterprises in supply chain should be integrated and optimized, and then managed uniformly. Inventory management is the most important part of supply chain management. The inventory models what we are using have many limitations. The effectiveness of implementation often depends on the accuracy of the accuracy of “market demand forecast”. In order to reduce the reliance on “market demand forecast” accuracy to improve the efficiency of supply chain inventory management, we need to have further research on this theory by used of Internet of things to explore right model.

The flower industry today is a fairly dynamic international industry. Proof of this is the significant growth rates achieved in recent years in this area. Thus transportation of perishable goods is one of the most difficult types of delivery, and transportation of flowers is even more difficult. Because it is necessary not only to strictly adhere to the temperature regime, but also to preserve the appearance of such a demanding cargo. Conducted analysis of the flower industry has shown that market demand is stagnant, while supply is in surplus. In part, this is due to the fact that flowers are highly correlated with income, not being essential commodities. Although on the other hand, consumer demand is becoming more demanding and differentiated. The main factors influencing the market of floriculture products were identified and studied. It was noted that the market of floriculture products in Ukraine is relatively small and young, but promising and growing rapidly. In addition, it is one of the most complex and time-consuming, due to its features. First of all, the floriculture market is represented by a significant number of participants that have different basic and current resources, goals for the market, needs, and so on. Studies have shown that the floriculture industry can suffer huge losses, mainly due to the lack of proper infrastructure for storage and transportation, as well as due to the lack of control over the conditions of supply. Lack of visibility in supply chains leads to quality problems, which leads to product loss, product returns, rising costs, and time delays. In addition, changing consumer demands, an active lifestyle and an open economy are forcing manufacturers and suppliers to produce higher quality goods and constantly look for ways to optimize costs. The proposed conceptual model of floriculture supply chain management will make it possible to form a new infrastructure that will unite all the subjects of the floriculture market into a single system. Thus, we can say that the priority areas of infrastructure development of the floriculture market should be determined in terms of a systematic approach and consist in the interaction of elements of production, intermediary, floristic, design, marketing, financial, information and agricultural components. Each part of the chain must perform its function effectively in order to maintain the optimal conditions of the environment in which the products of floriculture are located, during its supply from the manufacturers to the final consumers. To this end, a combination of innovative technologies that help to manage the supply of floriculture products in real time through the supply chain was proposed. Therefore, in order to satisfy consumers, it is necessary to form an effective supply chain for floriculture products, all parts of which must work in a whole, so that end consumers can get high quality products.

<p>Globalisation requires from companies greater flexibility and adaptability of its internal processes, to allow them be aligned to market requirements. This flexibility results in new forms of relationships between partners, supply chains. For these chains differentiate themselves from their competitors, they should add value to products and services that they deliver to the end customer, while being profitable from the standpoint of its processes and operations. In this sense, would be needed effective supply chain management, which is constituted by collaboration and cooperation among partners, strategic and processes integration, to result in a profitable operation, and products and services with added value to the customer. Additionally, because logistics is a key element for the integration and collaboration among SC members, and due the fact that, depending of the scope of these chains, there are potentially more risks happening, which may have negative impacts on the customer service level, and consequently, loss of effectiveness of their logistics processes. This study aims to analyze the risks in a product distribution process in the Brazilian automotive sector, considering the operations performed by a logistics operator of this automaker.</p><strong>Keywords: </strong>Automotive Industry; Logistics Operator; Supply Chain; Supply Chain Management; Risks Management.

<strong>English</strong><br />Marketing and logistics experts pay great attention to the concept of supply chain management and try to operationalize in agricultural development especially for high-value products, such as poultry products. The supply chain management concept is interpreted from various perspectives including marketing and logistics perspectives. This paper aims to analyze (1) a conceptual review of supply chain management; (2) the dynamics of production and consumption of poultry products; (3) performance of supply chain management on poultry products; and (4) integrated supply chain management strategy formulation for poultry products. This study applies analysis of review from various sources of literature, primary journals, research results, and text books. A review of the conceptual aspects of supply chain management has identified the different concepts of marketing with supply chain management. Supply chain management analysis on poultry products can improve poultry product distribution efficiency through product process integration among the actors. Production and consumption performance of poultry products showed a high increase, but its trade position is still deficit. In order to realize an efficient distribution system of poultry products, it is necessary to implement integrated supply chain management. In this context, the government needs to facilitate growth and development of poultry agribusiness partnership through integrated supply chain management approach.<br /><br /><br /><strong>Indonesian</strong><br />Pakar pemasaran dan logistik memberikan perhatian besar terhadap konsep manajemen rantai pasok dan mencoba mengoperasionalkan dalam pembangunan pertanian, terutama pada produk bernilai ekonomi tinggi, seperti produk-produk perunggasan.
