Abstract The paper deals with the partial results of diagnostics of experimental sections of ballastless track Rheda 2000® and transition areas between ballastless and ballasted track structure around portals of tunnel Turecky vrch after six measurement cycles. The paper presents differences between each operational measurement and the measurement before putting sections into operation, which indicates a development of track geometry quality.

ABSTRACT The dynamical positioning system is a complex control consisting of a number of components, including: filters, observers, controllers, and propeller allocation systems. The design and preliminary analysis of operational quality of system operation are usually done based on numerical simulations performed with the aid of the mathematical model of the ship. The article presents a concept of the dynamic positioning system applied to steering the training ship Blue Lady used for training captains in the ship handling research and training centre owned by the Foundation for Safety of Navigation and Environment Protection in Ilawa/Kamionka. The simulation tests performed in the numerical environment of Matlab/Simulink have proved the usability of the designed system for steering a ship at low speed.

At present, the requirements for the characteristics of the “cosmonaut-anthropomorphic robotic system-environment” ergatic system, the procedure for evaluating the performance of a cosmonaut-operator when using anthropomorphic robots, proposals for the functionality of this ergatic system and the ways of its application in order to increase the operational quality of existing and future manned space complexes can be determined and substantiated only as a result of carrying out experimental studies using an anthropomorphic robotic system.

The article is devoted to operational quality control of grainsize composition of cement-concrete road mixtures for use on highways of Ukraine. The results of the experimental research are presented, which testify to the non-conformity of the planned grain composition to the actual production composition, as well as the influence on it of a number of factors that significantly affect the quality of the mixture and the durability of cement concrete.

Abstract Real-time particle deposition monitoring is a new way to monitor the operational quality of a cleanroom. Up to now the performance of a cleanroom is often monitored with light-scattering airborne particle counters. These give valuable information on airborne particles, but no information on the potentially threatening macroparticles in a cleanroom. In this paper, particle deposition phenomena and ways to determine particle deposition are discussed. A real-time particle deposition monitor using holographic imaging of the witness plates in a sensing device is described. Some practical experiences with real-time particle deposition measurements are demonstrated. Real-time particle deposition monitoring can be a valuable method to control the operational quality of a cleanroom where personnel are working.

Education management at the level of strategy, managerial and staff and operational quality of education. A good quality of education is determined by the good leadership of education, good education will determine the realization of the standards of educators and education personnel. Effective education leadership is predicted to be able to support efforts to realize the standards of educators and education personnel.

Aim of the current research paper is to propose an innovative solution for the problematic of the holistic management of an academic strategy. The systematic bibliographic surveys conducted showed that the combination of BSC method together with a multitude of MCDA techniques constitute the most important tools for this issue. Thus, we propose a holistic process-based methodology for the management of an academic strategy which spans from its design and oversight, to interpretation issues of the academic classification of departments of Universities or between Universities where assembly bodies (Quality Assurance Unit, HAHE) are active. We claim that our methodology is of particular importance and that its use will highlight the operational quality of well organised Universities.

Abstract The purpose of this article is to show that it is necessary to assess the quality indicators for the technical means of smart transport systems. The quality of technical means, including smart transport systems, is associated with the selection of rational information processing technologies. Data in information systems is processed in different sections. The authors suggest an assessment technology for the operational quality of technical means of automated transport information systems. They identify the key quality indicators for the operation of technical means of information systems. The authors demonstrate that the operation of technical means can be characterized by the system task time, output data accuracy, and system implementability. They present the calculation of technical means quality indicators for smart transport systems
