PurposeTo test the effect of experience quality on customer perceived value and customer satisfaction and its impact on customer loyalty to the visitors of natural nuanced outdoor cafés in the hilly areas of Joyo Agung, Malang.Design/methodology/approachThis study uses four variables, namely experience quality, customer perceived value, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty. The population used in this research was all customers or visitors who buy and enjoy the products and services provided by the natural outdoor cafés in Malang. This study used structural equation modeling (SEM) as inferential statistical technique.Findings1) Quality experience has a significant effect on customer perceived value, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty; 2) customer perceived value has a significant effect on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty; and 3) customer satisfaction has a significant effect on customer loyalty.Originality/valueBased on the results of previous research and the phenomenon that has been described previously, the research gaps found in this study are: (1) the relationship between experience quality and customers’ perceived values. (2) There are differences in the relationship between experience quality and customer satisfaction found in the research, which examines the effect of experience quality on customer loyalty. (3) Experience quality and customer loyalty variables still differ in the research concerning the effect of experience quality on customer loyalty. (4) The influence of customer satisfaction and customer loyalty is still different in the research results regarding the effect of customer satisfaction on customer loyalty.

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between Islamic servicequality, Muslim Customer Perceived Value (MCPV), customer satisfaction, and revisitintention on sharia hotels in Bandung. A systematic random sampling was used todraw sample of 255 customers. The hotel includes Orange Home Sharia, ShariaNarapati Hotel, Cottage Daarul Jannah, Daarul Mutmainah, and MQ Guest House.This research used Structural Equation Modeling to measure the variables of servicequality (Gayatri, 2013) and Muslims Customer Perceived Value (MCPV) (Eid andGohary, 2015) to measure the perceived value variables. Eleven hypotheses weredeveloped and tested using a sample of 255 Muslim tourists. Exploratory andconfirmatory factor analysis was used to test the validity of the measures, while thestructural equation modeling in hypotheses testing. The strength of the relationshipbetween the constructs indicates that features of the suggested MCPV model are crucialto achieving Muslim customer retention in the tourism industry. Findings also suggestthat the availability of the suggested Islamic attributes value, along with conventionalvalue dimensions, could satisfy Muslim tourists when they buy a tourism package.

This study aims to investigate the factors considered as important by consumers of Batik fabric created by entrepreneurs in Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia, and the relation to the customer satisfaction level. This research is quantitative research where data were collected using self-administered questionnaires distributed in the Bekasi district in West Java province. To test the relationship modeling between variables, this study used Structural Equation Modeling using Amos 16.0 software. Data were collected using questionnaires which distributed to respondents targeted with the help of enumerators. The results show that innovation and perceived value can increase customer satisfaction, which then has an impact on increasing customer loyalty and trust. In other words, customer satisfaction only serves as a bridge between innovation and perceived value with customer loyalty and trust. This is because there is no direct influence between innovation and perceived value on customer loyalty. Customer loyalty is an important aspect for Batik entrepreneurs in Bekasi in developing their business. Customers are satisfied with what they get from the innovative efforts of entrepreneurs in Batik production in Bekasi. This indicates that customer satisfaction can increase customer loyalty and trust to use a particular product.

The aim of this study was to determine the relationship of the features of the value, satisfaction, and customer loyalty; the effect on the value of customer satisfaction and loyalty; influence of satisfaction on customer loyalty. A total of 200 merchant PT. BANK XYZ as respondents was selected randomly. Analyses were performed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The analysis showed that the feature has a significant influence on customer value, but not for customer satisfaction and loyalty. The values has a significant influence on satisfaction, but not on customer loyalty. Satisfaction has a significant influence on customer loyalty. Discussion and conclusions described in the article. Purpose – Global mobile communication is one of the most dynamic and important service markets. Several researchers suggest using a theoretical approach to develop a much deeper insight into key marketing constructs such as service quality, customer perceived value, customer satisfaction, perceived switching costs, corporate image, and customer loyalty is of vital importance to the mobile communications market. This study aims to develop and test a comprehensive hierarchical model of these six important constructs. The model also incorporates the retailing function of a major mobile communication provider. Design/methodology/approach – The research sample of 516 was drawn from customers of one of the largest mobile communications service providers in China. The data were analysed using exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modelling. Findings – The results of the study support using a hierarchical and multidimensional approach for conceptualising and measuring customers' perceptions of service quality in the mobile communications market. In addition, the findings illustrate that service quality is an important determinant of customer perceived value, customer satisfaction, corporate image, and perceived switching costs. Customer perceived value is also an antecedent of customer satisfaction. Corporate image, customer satisfaction, and perceived switching costs are three key drivers of customer loyalty. However, the findings also indicate that corporate image is not an important determinant of customer satisfaction and that customer perceived value is not a key driver of customer loyalty. Originality/value – This is the first paper that has developed and tested a comprehensive hierarchical model of the mobile communications market.

Purpose This study aims to establish the findings by confirming the extent to which an extended version of the TPB estimation relates to repetitive fish consumption. This study is important for the sustainable consumption of fish in society. The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship that explains perceived value, consisting of monetary and non-monetary values, in shaping attitudes on repetition of fish consumption. Design/methodology/approach The sampling of this study was conducted for eight months of 365 people who consumed fish for at least one year. This research was conducted in Malang City, Indonesia. Data analysis applied structural equation modelling by measuring perceived values, attitudes, social norms, behaviour control, intentions and frequency of fish consumption. Findings It mostly follows the extended theory of planned behaviour (TPB) sections, with exception on the relationship of subjective norms to intentions and attitudes, subjective norms and perceived value towards repetition of fish consumption. The results of the study indicate that attitudes are preceded by the formation of perceived values. The perceived value significantly affects attitude formation. The perceived value of fish consumption is explained by health and monetary values. A positive attitude does not always precede consumption. Subjective norms provide a weak role in the repetition of fish consumption, while behaviour control plays an important role in realising action on repetitive fish consumption. Originality/value This study helps explain the extended TPB, and intentions towards the behaviour of repetitive fish consumption. Attitudes are preceded by the formation of perceived values in the TPB in intention repetitive fish consumption.

Purpose Contemporary sales scholarship suggests that salespersons pursuing customer satisfaction should improvise (think and act on their feet) to find solutions to customers’ emergent problems. A missing link in this literature, however, is the relational context within which improvisation takes place and becomes effective. This study aims to examine how the tone of the salesperson–customer relationship (whether cordial or coercive) drives and conditions salesperson improvisation and its implications for customer satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach The study tests the proposed model using dyadic salesperson–customer data from business-to-business (B2B) markets in Ghana. The relationships are tested using structural equation modeling technique. Findings The study finds that salesperson improvisation is associated with customer satisfaction. It also finds the extent of cordiality between salespersons and their customers predicts but does not enhance the value of improvisation for customer satisfaction. The reverse is true for customer exercised coercive power which is not a significant driver of improvisation but can substantially alter its benefits for the worse. Practical implications By implication, salespersons should improvise more to be able to satisfy customers. However, such improvisation must be tempered with a consciousness of the relationship shared with customers and the level of power they exercise in the relationship. Originality/value Because improvised behavior deviates from routines and may be unsettling for customers, improvising salespersons must first understand whether their customers would be willing to accommodate such deviations. Yet, the literature is silent on this relational context surrounding improvisation. This study, by exploring facilitating and inhibitory relational variables implicated in improvisation, addresses this gap.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to develop an original framework to explore the effects of social influence (SI), market orientation (MO) and service quality (SQ) with moderating effect of emotional intelligence (EI) on customer loyalty (CL) and to discuss the mediational role of customer satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach – This study applies six original concepts – SI, MO, SQ, EI, customer satisfaction to develop an integral model to enhance CL. In addition, this research employs an empirical study by means of the questionnaire survey method to verify the hypotheses and to explore its managerial implications. Structural equation modeling has been applied to verify the research framework. Findings – The empirical results show that MO, SI and SQ significantly affect CL with presence of customer satisfaction as a mediator. Furthermore, this study demonstrates that the direct relationships between MO and SI on CL are not supported. However indirect paths present full mediation except in case of SQ where mediation was partial. Moreover, EI was found to enhance the partially mediated relationship between SQ and CL with mediational role customer satisfaction. Hence, banks should invest resources to increase MO, SI and SQ to increase customer satisfaction and CL. Originality/value – This study summarizes the literature on customer satisfaction and relationship marketing into a new managerial framework of CL. It utilizes new arrangement of four construct – SI, MO, and SQ with EI – to develop an original framework to enhance CL. Although past research has highlighted the relevant issues about CL, none explores it with MO and moderating role of EI on SQ. Therefore, this paper develops the research framework of CL to fill the research gap specifically in Pakistani context.

The number of industrial equipment brands on the market has resulted in customers needing the role of sales force to get clear product information and good after-sales service. Sales who can behave ethically will be more trusted and can establish long-term relationships with customers. This study aims to explain the relationship between salesperson ethical behavior towards satisfaction and trust and its effect on customer loyalty levels at PT Kawan Lama Sejahtera at Bali.The population in this study were PT Kawan Lama Sejahtera customers who had made transactions at least 2 times within a period of 1 year. The size of the sampling was determined based on the non probability sampling method, namely purposive sampling with a total sample of 100 respondents. Questionnaire data that are collected from respondents, are analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS programs.The results of this study indicate that salesperson ethical behavior has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction and trust which are a dimension of the quality of the relationship. Customer satisfaction and trust also have a positive and significant influence on customer loyalty. The relationship between salesperson ethical behavior and customer trust is mediated by customer satisfaction, where the effect is significant.The managerial implications of the results of this study can be a consideration in the process of strategic policy making at PT Kawan Lama Sejahtera improve company’s performance in the future. Salesperson need to behave ethically in marketing their products in order to increase customer’s satisfaction and trust, and also establish long-term relationships with customers.

The e-commerce market becomes one of the markets with the most promising growth. A number of studies on e-commerce have been investigated, but only a little attention is paid to the factors that may create e-commerce customer loyalty, even though customer loyalty is one of the primary keys to improve the performance of e-commerce businesses. This research offers a conceptual model focused on purchases to investigate the factors that affect customer's loyalty and when it is formed. Specifically, this paper intends to examine the relationship between the e-commerce overall quality on the perceived usefulness, perceived value, satisfaction and trust. This paper also verifies the relationship between perceived usefulness, perceived value, satisfaction and trust in the e-loyalty. The method of online survey is used for the data collection. From 1457 of the distributed questionnaires, 960 were completed and returned, resulted 65.8 percent response rate. The data is then analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The research findings contribute to filling the knowledge gap regarding the defining factors of customer loyalty which may help the e-commerce provider in developing e-loyalty to increase e-commerce profitability.

Purpose This paper aims to explore tourist perceived value and attachment to intelligent voice assistants (IVAs) as antecedents of the quality of the human–IVA relationship in the hospitality domain. This research also examines the moderating role of psychological factors (self-esteem) and knowledge factors (past experience and technology expertise) in the relationships between antecedents and relationship quality. Design/methodology/approach The researchers conducted two quantitative studies, collecting data via online surveys in Mechanical Turk (n1 = 124 and n2 = 281). The proposed model was tested using partial least squares structural equation modeling. Findings The first study uncovers that tourist perceived value is the main influence on the quality of the relationship between tourists and IVAs. The second study confirms the direct relationships of the first and shows that self-esteem and technology expertise act as moderators. Practical implications This study advances the understanding of the tourism and hospitality stakeholders in using modern technologies (e.g. IVAs). Through comprehending the relationship building between individuals and IVAs, the stakeholders will be able to craft better strategies. Originality/value The study extends the attachment and social exchange theories to the tourist–IVA relationship context. Specifically, this research demonstrates the impact of tourist perceived value on the quality of the relationship with the IVA. It also points out that tourists’ self-esteem and technology expertise can weaken the tourist–IVA relationship.
