As China has gradually entered the network information society, all walks of life have been rapidly developed. In the education industry, network information technology has promoted the emergence of online education platforms. This is a new teaching method that has attracted the attention and recognition of the majority of teachers and students who have profited from its advantages of abundant resources, quick start, and convenience. By analyzing the connotation and management mode of online education platform, the application strategies of online education platform in colleges and universities are discussed.

To solve the problems of dull multimedia teaching mode, untargeted education, and low efficiency of the course of ecological economics, we have applied information technology in multimedia education, and designed a new multimedia education platform. The aforesaid multimedia education platform consists of three modules, i.e. login module, expert module and student module. We tested the effect of the newly-built multimedia education platform based on information technology via teaching experiment, and results demonstrate that this multimedia education platform is helpful for implementing targeted teaching and guidance according to students’ characteristics, to raise students’ learning initiative and ensure teaching efficiency. These findings indicate the new education platform is helpful for providing more vivid teaching contents, stimulating students’ learning initiative, and improving teaching quality.

The financial information technology talents with practical abilities are an important guarantee for the successful construction of Shanghai as an international financial center. This thesis analyzes, from the perspective of market demand, the current situations about cultivation of financial information technology talents and insufficient cultivation of the same, exemplified by construction of a financial information education platform, discusses the reform of finance-oriented innovative cultivation modes, the double-line course system characteristic of the financial industry, and financial practice embodied as experiment, and explores the feasibility of the abovementioned items, so as to improve the cultivation of financial information technology talents professional abilities.
