Having a method for analyzing and designing regulators of controls that contain many current loops such as active filters is not a trivial task. There can be many parameters of regulators and filters that must be carefully selected in order to fulfill certain desired requirements. For instance, these can be stability, dynamic response, robustness under uncertainty of parameters, and rejection capability to switching harmonics. Hence, this paper provides general analysis guidelines for designing current control loops by using mathematical models in an αβ reference frame. Then, by using the proposed modeling tool, a multi-objective tuning algorithm is proposed that helps obtain all the control loops’ regulator and filter parameters, meeting all the desired requirements. Thus, the proposed analysis and design methodology is illustrated by applying it to three different controls conceived in a dq rotating reference frame with PI (Proportional Integral) regulators. The first control presents two current loops (simple dq current control), the second control uses four current loops (dual vector control, for unbalanced loads), while the third control presents eight current loops (active filter controlling current harmonics). Several experimental and simulation results show the effectiveness and usefulness of the proposed method. Since the mathematical model employed is in the αβ reference frame, it can also be easily applied to controls conceived in a αβ reference frame using resonant regulators, providing also a common comparative framework.

The IRμs™ is the first fully integrated system for Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) microscopy. FT-IR microscopy combines light microscopy for morphological examination with infrared spectroscopy for chemical identification of microscopic samples or domains. Because the IRμs system is a new tool for molecular microanalysis, its optical, mechanical and system design are described to illustrate the state of development of molecular microanalysis. Applications of infrared microspectroscopy are reviewed by Messerschmidt and Harthcock.Infrared spectral analysis of microscopic samples is not a new idea, it dates back to 1949, with the first commercial instrument being offered by Perkin-Elmer Co. Inc. in 1953. These early efforts showed promise but failed the test of practically. It was not until the advances in computer science were applied did infrared microspectroscopy emerge as a useful technique. Microscopes designed as accessories for Fourier transform infrared spectrometers have been commercially available since 1983. These accessory microscopes provide the best means for analytical spectroscopists to analyze microscopic samples, while not interfering with the FT-IR spectrometer’s normal functions.

The article describes the results of the study concerning the effect of the voltage level on current harmonic composition in greenhouses irradiators. It is found that its change affects the level of current harmonics of all types of the studied greenhouse irradiators. With decrease of nominal supply voltage by 10 %, the total harmonic distortion THDi decreases by 9 % for emitters equipped with high pressure sodium lamps (HPSL), by 10 % for emitters with electrode-less lamps and by 3 % for LED based emitters. With increase of nominal supply voltage by 10 %, THDi increases by 23 % for lighting devices equipped with HPSL, by 10 % for irradiators with electrode-less lamps and by 3 % for LED based emitters. Therefore, changes of supply voltage cause the least effect on the level of current harmonics of LED based emitters and then the emitters with electrode-less lamps. Change of the level of supply voltage causes the greatest effect on the level of current harmonics of HPSL based irradiators. Mathematical models of dependence of THDi on the level of supply voltage for greenhouse emitters equipped with LED, electrode-less lamps and HPSL lamps were formulated. These mathematical models may be used for calculations of total current when selecting transformers and supply cable lines for greenhouse lighting devices, for design of new or reconstruction of existing irradiation systems of greenhouse facilities, and for calculation of power losses in power supply networks of greenhouse facilities during feasibility studies for energy saving and energy efficiency increasing projects.

Learning in Early Childhood Education (ECE) today should adjust the 21st century competency framework. In this case, learning innovation is needed to actualize a generation that is creative, innovative, critical thinking, able to communicate and collaborate. STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Mathematics) - based ECE learning is currently seen as an approach that aims to stimulate creativity and  prepare children in a world of work that is full of innovation and invention. Research shows that there is a positive relationship between STEAM experience at early age and school success in the future. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of STEAM-based ECE learning in Semarang City. Three ECE schools that have implemented STEAM-based learning in Semarang City were included as research subjects. The research methods used were qualitative with observation, interview and documentation as a data collection technique. The research focus of the research results include: 1) Story times in STEAM class, 2) STEAM Processes in learning, 3) STEAM activities in class. Data analysis results show that the implementation of STEAM-based learning is not fully integrated, so assistance by expert teams is needed and there is no  comprehensive learning media tool.Pembelajaran di PAUD sekarang ini hendaknya menyesuaikan kerangka kompetensi abad 21, dimana inovasi pembelajaran sangat dibutuhkan untuk mewujudkan generasi yang kreatif, inovatif, berpikir kritis, mampu berkomunikasi dan berkolaborasi. Akhir-akhir ini STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Mathematics) dipandang sebagai sebuah pendekatan untuk menyiapkan generasi abad 21, yang bertujuan untuk menstimulasi kreativitas, menyiapkan anak-anak dalam dunia kerja yang penuh inovasi dan invensi. Riset menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif antara pengalaman STEAM di awal usia dengan kesuksesan sekolah di masa mendatang. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran STEAM di PAUD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan hasil penelitian ini mendeskripsikan: 1) Storytimes dalam kelas STEAM, 2) STEAM Process dalam pembelajaran, 3) Aktivitas STEAM di kelas. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran berbasis STEAM tidak sepenuhnya terintegrasi, sehingga diperlukan bantuan oleh tim ahli dan tidak ada alat media pembelajaran yang komprehensif.
