The article presents an automated control system for a screwdown mechanism of a laboratory rolling mill DUO-130 developed by NPI 'Practice Equipment and Technologies', SUSU (NRU). A specific feature of the system under consideration is its integrity into control system of the whole rolling mill. The article describes the operating principle of a screwdown mechanism regulated by a step motor and advantages of the chosen control method. It also gives the structure and operating principle of the control system of a servo drive that ensures regulating of a screwdown mechanism. It also presents the process of calculating the determination precision and positioning the upper roller of a roller plate.

There is a large number of technological operations associated with the treatment of combustible dusts at production facilities. Such industries include food, pharmaceutical, woodworking, metalworking, textile and other industries, the main technological equipment of which is supplemented with aspiration systems. According to the requirements of ecology, labour protection and fire safety, this system must include a dust collector. When choosing a dust collector for such systems granular filters are found particularly effective. They allow to precipitate combustible dust. The article presents the known constructions of granular filters, the narrow application of which is associated with insufficient study of their operation with explosive flows. Therefore, the authors developed an experimental stand and analyzed the operation of different filters: with metal balls, screws, peas and pea mash, grain, which can be used as filter material. During the experiment it was found a state in which the filter operation is explosive. According to the results of the analysis, the criteria for the descriptions of normal and explosive operation are introduced - the criteria of geometric form, characterizes the filter and dust - K, and the rate of filtration - T. Numerical values of criteria are given for automated control of the filter operation. The automated control method of the filter allows to make the operation of the aspiration system more efficient and prevents explosive situations by timely regeneration and replacement of the layer, taking into account the calculated value of criteria K and T. In the scheme there are shown fire extinguishing modules, which are triggered by sensors when the temperature rises above normal.

Power Unit This work is devoted to the development of automated control models and methods of power change at WWER-1000 power unit to provide the most stable axial offset in the load-following mode. Improved multi-zone mathematical model of WWER1000 allows taking into account the energy release of 235U nuclei fission as well as 239Pu and includes a sub-model with distributed parameters. The automated control method of power change at WWER-1000 power unit that uses three control loops was proposed for the first time. The first loop maintains change of reactor power by controlling the boric acid concentration in the primary coolant. The second control loop maintains the required value of axial offset by controlling the position of 9th group control rods, and the third one maintains coolant temperature mode or steam pressure mode by controlling the main valve positions in the turbine generator.

This paper presents a review of research work done on various aspects of control system approaches of unmanned surface vehicle (USV) in order to improve the course keeping performance. Various methods have been used to produce a course keeping control system for manoeuvring system of USV. However, the review reveals that the adaptive backstepping control system is a powerful tool for the design of controllers for nonlinear systems or transformable to form a tight feedback parameter. It is very suitable for the automated control system of USV in relative motion that involves the disturbances from waves and wind. Fuzzy logic control also had been suggested as an alternative approach for complex systems with uncertain dynamics and those with nonlinearities. This method does not rely on the mathematical models, but the heuristic approach. Further studies may be conducted to combine the control method approach mentioned above to develop a real time system with robust control laws to the motions of a USV in waves, usually at a specific speed, including station keeping or heading in sinusoidal and irregular waves.

Achievements in the area of automated ultrasonic control of quality of rails, solid-rolled wheels and tyres, wheels magnetic powder crack detection, carried out at JSC EVRAZ NTMK. The 100% nondestructive control is accomplished by automated control in series at two ultrasonic facilities RWI-01 and four facilities УМКК-1 of magnetic powder control, installed into the exit control line in the wheel-tyre shop. Diagram of location, converters displacement and control operations in the process of control at the facility RWI-01 presented, as well as the structural diagram of the facility УМКК-1. The automated ultrasonic control of rough tyres is made in the tyres control line of the wheel-tyre shop at the facility УКБ-1Д. The facility enables to control internal defects of tyres in radial, axis and circular directions of radiation. Possibilities of the facility УКБ-1Д software were shown. Nondestructive control of railway rails is made at two facilities, comprising the automated control line of the rail and structural shop. The УКР-64Э facility of automated ultrasonic rails control is intended to reveal defects in the area of head, web and middle part of rail foot by pulse echo-method with a immersion acoustic contact. The diagram of rail P65 at the facility УКР-64Э control presented. To reveal defects of the macrostructure in the area of rail head and web by mirror-shadow method, an ultrasonic noncontact electromagnetic-acoustic facility is used. It was noted, that implementation of the 100% nondestructive control into the technology of rolled stuff production enabled to increase the quality of products supplied to customers and to increase their competiveness.

The article is devoted to control and feedback in foreign language teaching in a technogenic environment. The educational process is transformed in terms of the implementation and active use of digital technologies. ICT-rich environment provides new models of interaction between the teacher, students and digital tools. It also enriches the diversity of tasks and expands the range of possible forms of control and feedback. According to the authors, automated evaluation takes place both in out-of-classroom activities and directly in the classroom using Bring Your Own Device technology (BYOD). Automated control contributes to the intensity of the educational process. It provides all the participants with an opportunity to choose a convenient mode of work and get instant feedback, thereby allowing self-assessment and self-reflection of their own actions. When teaching foreign languages, special attention should be paid to chatbot technology. Chatbots imitate human actions and are able to perform standard repetitive tasks. The growing popularity of bots is explained by a wide range of usage spheres and the ability to integrate chatbots into social networks and mobile technologies. In the technogenic educational environment, ICT can be the basis for interaction, co-editing and peer assessment in collaborative projects. In this case, students receive feedback not only from the teacher, but also from other students, which increases the motivation for independent learning. Thus, automated control, self-assessment and peer assessment can both identify problem areas for each student and design an individual learning path, which increases the effectiveness of learning a foreign language.
