Abstract A six-degree-of-freedom desktop magnetically levitated haptic interface has been developed by the authors. Its electromechanical design is described in (Salcudean and Parker, 1997). In this paper, aspects of electronic hardware architecture and the control of actuator currents are discussed. To program this device, a new low level applications programming interface (API) that models the haptic interface as a hybrid dynamic system is proposed. The user can define a finite state machine in which every state is a device impedance. State transitions occur upon the satisfaction of linear inequalities in terms of the device location, velocity and force. Examples of the use of such hybrid dynamic systems to produce haptic effects are given.

Abstract This study describes a non-invasive medical device capable of measuring arterial blood pressure (BP) with a combination of inflationary and deflationary procedures. The device uses the pressure cuff pressure signal, arterial skin-surface acoustics, and photoplethysmography (PPG) to make a sensor-fusion estimation of blood pressure readings. We developed an apparatus composed of 1) a modified off-the-shelf oscillometric blood pressure system, 2) a contact microphone with an amplifier, 3) and high-sensitivity pulse oximeter, and its control electronics.

The Multi-Purpose Detector (MPD) is a main detection system of the new collider located in Dubna, Russia (Nuclotron-based Ion Collider fAcility -NICA). During the work, the Slow Control electronic equipment which is located on the MPD surface and on the special platform near the MPD body, an accidental irradiation caused by the NICA’s failure or its abnormal functioning may occur. Thus, there is a risk of destroying the electronics by a radiation exposure in the platform area, and in the consequence the emergency/fast switch off of the MPD sub-detectors might become impossible. We present the preliminary dosimetry system i.e. the method of prevention of such situation by the continuous monitoring on the Slow Control electronics on the platform. System will be alarming when the radiation levels threshold will be surpassed.

In the recent years, technology make everything to do easier. Home automation is the system otomatization for smart home. This project aims to design an automatic system tool for smart home using arduino mega 2560 as a central controller, easyVR as sound processor, driver relay and power supply. After testing, the result of this project shows a design which able to control electronics at home using audio censor. The result shows that overall function is quite well and need about 2 seconds for activated load.
