Abstract Background High prevalence diseases, such as high blood pressure, dementia and depression in old age can lead to multimorbidity, which is often defined as the presence of more than one health condition in an individual. Multimorbidity has negative consequences on health-related quality of life and healthcare utilization. As many age-associated diseases are not curable, therapeutic goals like preservation of autonomy, functioning, and life satisfaction become more important in old age patients. Objective The prevalence of multimorbidity dementia and depressive symptoms and the consequences of multimorbidity on autonomy, functioning, and life satisfaction among the oldest old were examined. Material and methods In personal computer-assisted interviews, participants of the representative study NRW80+ were asked for which health issues they received medical treatment. Results On average, people above the age of 80 years were treated for 3.62 diseases and 31.4% of older people received medical treatment for 5 or more diseases. A connection between multimorbidity and age group could not be shown. Autonomy, functioning, and life satisfaction are reduced in association with multimorbidity. Conclusion Multimorbidity is a frequent phenomenon among old people. A lack of diagnostic procedures and medical treatment can be a reason for the missing age trends. The results illustrate the importance of multimorbidity for patient-relevant outcomes and reveal the need to identify patients with multimorbidity.

A large number of health facilities, especially those in collaboration with the Health Social Security Administering Body (BPJS), has made the public assisted, especially in carrying out medical treatment, However, not all people know the exact location and information on the whereabouts of these health facilities. Only health facilities with big names are known to the public. For this reason, in this study, an application development that specifically provides information on health facilities, especially hospitals with BPJS services was carried out. To make it easier to find information, location-based service technology is used in the development process as a search tool. While the application development process using the SCRUM model. The SCRUM model itself is a development model that emphasizes speed in the development process. The results of research that have been done are in the form of a mobile application that is intended for the public in finding information on health facilities, especially hospitals. This application is also proven to be able to provide information on the whereabouts of the hospital either based on the user's location or the existence of the hospital itself.

Medikit - An IoT healthcare system is developed for patients, hospitals and care centers that regularly supervise the health condition and checks whether the patient has taken the prescribed medicine. The proposed work monitors patient’s vitals such as pulse rate and body temperature on real time basis. Such information will be used by the doctor to diagnose the patient remotely and prescribe optimum medication dose. Further, the Medikit system apart from collecting the data ensures that patient has taken the medicine on time.  For the proposed system the authors have used Bluetooth Technology to send sensor data to a Smartphone and also to Cloud Service Platform for archiving and analysis. The information available on the Cloud can be supervised by the doctor by using a Mobile application. The mobile application also supports scheduling of medicines as per doctor’s prescription in the medical box. The comprehensive system developed, to the best of author’s knowledge, is low cost, efficient and service oriented as compared to the traditional healthcare practices and other eHealth solutions discussed.

1 The approximate lethal dose (ALD) of six chlorinated hydrocarbons via the intratracheal route has been determined in rats and compared with published oral LD50 values. 2 The compounds tested in this study were dichloromethane, perchloroethylene, trichloroethylene, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform and ethylene dichloride. 3 A method of administering the materials intratracheally to unanaesthetized animals was developed. 4 The intratracheal ALD of the chlorinated hydrocarbons ranged from 3.1 to 17.5% of the oral LD 50 and death was peracute. 5 Aspiration of chlorinated hydrocarbons may present more of a hazard than oral toxicity and should be considered when rendering first aid or emergency medical treatment.

Accidents might happen anywhere, anytime, and to anyone. Primary school education is a period when children get very active in interacting with other peers. The interaction during a game might cause a risk of injuries on primary school students. Children often ignore the health condition of each other during the interaction. They have yet to own the analytical ability to identify if their friends conceive dangerous diseases, such as congenital heart disease, asthma, or other diseases. Free game interactions among primary school students such as running during the break or physically-related games might increase the risk for accidents or injuries within the school environment. Teachers are the closest people when children are at school. Teachers are demanded to have knowledge and skills in providing the first aid for their students who possibly experience accidents, injuries, or dangerous conditions, such as stopped breathing and cardiac arrest, which might happen during the school hours. The required skills are splinter dressing and/or basic life support. This activity aimed to improve the knowledge and skill of primary school teachers in providing first aid and for them to be capable of performing the basic life support. Coaching and counselling of Basic Life Support as well as splinter dressing were the conducted method. The result acquired from this community service showed that the good level of knowledge before the first aid counselling activity was 19.5%, which increased to 90.2% after the counselling activity. This study concluded that the knowledge of Primary School Teachers in Depok District of Sleman-Yogyakarta regarding First Aid has increased. Keywords: Accidents, Aid, First, Primary, School, Training,
