The article analyses the features of the state electronic services development based on the results of a St Petersburg residents survey. The survey, the main purpose of which was to identify the opinion of citizens about the relevance, level of trust and attitude towards the services of Smart City, was conducted in March 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. We used the data from previous studies for a comparative analysis of the Smart City concept development. As a result, we identified the most popular electronic services, as well as the factors that influence the success of their implementation. The results showed that the most relevant services for the residents of St. Petersburg are electronic services in the healthcare and medicine (78%), safe city services (70%), two types of electronic services in the field of transport: for passengers of public transport (63%) and owners of personal vehicles (61%). The parameters of functionality, trust and development of services are determined and analyzed additionally.

Abstract: In modern context the connectivity of transport system is very important and necessary in an urban and smart city. Due to more population and more vehicles in an urban city, it is not very easy to travel from one location to another location in smooth manner. Availability of different kind of transport mediums like metro, buses, auto, ola, uber etc. helps in travelling within the city by covering different locations. Metro is considered as the primarily best and easy medium for travelling with least congestion and stoppage points. After metro, bus and auto are the secondary public transport medium having frequently used by public on daily basis. Other private transit modes are also available like Ola, Uber and Rapido, who charge according to the travel length, journey time and availability of their service in that area. But if we compare all of them in terms of availability, reliability, speed and smoothness, metro is taken as best and safe way to travel without any hesitation. The connectivity of Lucknow city which is the capital of Uttar Pradesh, India, is having good connectivity in terms of metro and bus medium. But beside metro, due to lack of infrastructure and good management it is sometimes difficult to move from one part of the city to another part by other public transport system. This study will assess the different parameters of public transport system and it will provide the correlation between them. Systems trying to solve mobility issues in cities, such as high levels of accidents and traffic congestion, have been developed worldwide. Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) services focused on urban public transport are an option contributing to solve such issues. A few intermediate cities in the Latin American context have developed some of these ITS services, which are mainly based on a tracking system for public transport vehicles. Such tracking systems have great limitations in terms of coverage, availability, and operational cost. In addition, they are commonly isolated mobility solutions, which cannot be easily integrated with other mobility services in the city because they are not based on an ITS architecture. In order to improve public transportation systems in intermediate cities, we proposed the development of an IoT-based public vehicle tracking system, using LoRa (Long Range) and ITS services. In this research, we developed the proposed system as a proof of concept. We designed and executed some experiments, in order to adjust parameters of the LoRa technology and to test its operation. This article presents the methods we followed for developing the proof-of-concept model, a description of the experiments, and their results. The results lead to conclude that the LoRa technology and an IoT-based system are adequate for implementation of a mobility service such as the one we propose, once important technical restrictions related mainly to Line of Sight (LoS) are considered. Key aspects for implementation were also identified for deploying the service (as a prototype) in the city of Popayán.

In the context of transportation, the passenger loyalty is a measurement of the level of passenger’s willingness to use a similar public transport. The goal of this study is to examines and identifies factors that influencing passenger loyalty. Three factors such as satisfaction, service value, services quality was predicted as an influential factor towards passengers’ loyalty. The Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) for Sungai Buloh to Kajang (SBK) line in Kuala Lumpur conurbation was used as a case study and 555 respondents have contributed to this study. Structural equation modelling (SEM) was used to investigate the relationship between service quality, service value, passenger satisfaction and passenger loyalty. Satisfaction has the most significant influence on passenger loyalty. Service value has direct and positive effects on passenger loyalty. This study also found the service quality has significant indirect effect on the passenger loyalty via service value and passenger satisfaction.The structural model for investigating the loyalty of MRT-SBK users to this service has been analysed and tested using the service quality, satisfaction and quality value showed 75% positive change for all variables. These models recorded average errors and absolute index evaluation in accepted criteria of ≤ 0.09 and ≥ 0.94 respectively. The study reveals that MRT-SBK passengers’ loyalty is significantly influenced by service attributes, such as vehicle safety, convenience, punctuality, comfort, cleanliness of the facility provided. This study helps MRT service provider to optimize resource to enhance user’s satisfaction and therefore, increase the passenger loyalty

The article refers to selected challenges related to the need to ensure passenger transfer in the Smart City area in the context of the planned development of the Solidarity Transport Hub (CPK). The authors present the concept of using the modern public transport solution Innovia Monorail 300 as a potential automatic transport system for Smart City. The elaboration presents Bombardier's product - Innovia Monorail 300 system, its characteristics, aspects relevant for development, and its components. The article proposes the monorail line structure, analyzes the transport needs and capacities, presents traffic organization rules, and points out other aspects important from the system planning point of view. The legal status for the approval of the system in Polish conditions is briefly outlined.
