Abstract Based on the loss model of pulp pump set up in the I part of this research, an efficient designing method is proposed by taking account of the influences of head reduction by small blade number, leakage loss via tip clearance, and erosion-corrosion wears in pumps separately. Further, a two-stage optimal designing approach was proposed to tackle the oversized design. The pump designing was performed by coupling with a CFD-based optimization procedure. An efficiency increase of near 10 % was achieved on the pump model validated in laboratory. It was proved that performance could be improved by increasing the impeller blade width and enlarging the impeller blade outlet angle. It was further shown that the erosion-corrosion wear in pulp pump was relatively lighter when compared to particle-impingement wear in slurry and sewage pump. Adoption of composite material showed potential in energy-saving in the pumping system.

In this paper, the precise 3D model of the wind power increasing gear was set up by based on the parametric designing method of Pro/Program, then the contact strength of the gear was analyzed by the FEM and the Hertz theoretical value was calculated, the FEM and the Hertz results were contrasted in order to confirm the applicability of the numerical analysis in wind power gear contact analysis. Finally, the corresponding analysis conclusion was received. The researching results offered a effective theoretical basis for the optimization design and analysis of the wind increasing gear.

In some areas such as micro-mechanical, ultra-precision machining, nanotechnology, the high-precision positioning and very fine vertical scanning motion are needed urgently. Therefore, the Z-axis micro-displacement driving control technology has become the key technology in these areas. The piezoelectric ceramics actuator and stepper motor were integrated into hybrid linear actuator in Z-axis nanopositioning stage, and this can simplify the structure of the drive system. By calculating the gravity center of the vertical scanning system, and using single counterweight, a new one-arm bridge type structure was built. Appropriate tension and current sensors were also equipped in order to real-time monitor the drive status. It is feasible to balance the weight with this simplified system structure, and also guarantee the driving control accuracy of nanopositioning stage. Besides, in the structural design, the Abbe error can be reduced greatly by placing the stage center, grating ruler and displacement measurement centerline on the same line with grating reading head. The driving travel of nanopositioning stage is 150mm, and driving resolution is 1nm. The designing method introduced gives a scientific method and practical reference for the development of z-axis driving control system.

This paper considers the problem of delay-dependent state estimation for neural networks with time-varying delays and stochastic parameter uncertainties. It is assumed that the parameter uncertainties are affected by the environment which is changed with randomly real situation, and its stochastic information such as mean and variance is utilized in the proposed method. By constructing a newly augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, a designing method of estimator for neural networks is introduced with the framework of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) and a neural networks model with stochastic parameter uncertainties which have not been introduced yet. Two numerical examples are given to show the improvements over the existing ones and the effectiveness of the proposed idea.
