Abstract Considering the promoted purification requirement for industry sewage, the discharge of azo dye wastewater will have a serious impact on the environment, iron oxyhydroxide nanosheets were designed and prepared, and the purification effects and application conditions were investigated in this work. We have used its structural advantages to perform adsorption tests on Congo red (CR). It found that it has very excellent properties. It has strong adsorption capacity for Congo red under the condition of low dosage and no adjustment of PH. By employing iron oxyhydroxide nanosheets with optimized molar ratio of reducing agent to Fe, it was found that the adsorption efficiency increase in the removal percentage for CR from industry sewage could be achieved at the large specific surface area and pore volume of B-Fe Nanosheets.

Pepper is one of Indonesia's leading agricultural products. However, post-harvest handling of pepper, such as the threshing process, is still done traditionally. Efforts to overcome these problems done by developing a mechanical threshing process, including by designing and construction a mesh thresher cylinder type of pepper threshing. Test results show, this pepper thresher has a weakness, namely low threshing efficiency so that it needs to developed. Based on these conditions, research is needed that aims to develop, modify and done performance tests on the pepper thresher. The modification was made by making the contact angle between the thresher cylinder and the threshing net is 60o and resulted length of the threshing contact field of about 5.23 cm. The independent variable was the thresher cylinder rotational speed varied into 540, 471, 451 and 352 rpm. The dependent variables were capacity, threshing efficiency and percentage pepper of damage. The results of the analysis showed that the rotational speed of the threshing mechanism had a very significant effect on the capacity, threshing efficiency and the percentage pepper of damage. Increasing the speed of the thresher cylinder can increase the capacity and percentage of damaged pepper, but reduce threshing efficiency. The threshing efficiency increase of the pepper thresher before and after modification was from 35.8% to 95.93% on the approaching treatment.

The modes of operation of power transformer substations 6 (20)/0.4 kV are analyzed. Scientific and technical solutions for the use of electric vehicles as prosumers of electric energy are substantiated. The potential influence of electric cars on electricity losses in "smart" electric networks is determined. Feasibility study of expediency of using electric mobiles as prosumers from the standpoint of loss reduction and efficiency of network equipment use is given. Quantitative indicators of the potential of equalization of the daily schedule of electric loads of the typical area of consumers of city electric networks are determined. The main indicator is the reduction of electricity losses in transformers by 7-10% compared with the existing ones when regulating the mode from the side of 0.4 kV with help of electric vehicles. Additionally, the possibility of increasing the capacity of electrical networks up to 45% identified.

Concentrating photovoltaic-thermal (CPVT) collectors have to face the challenge of contrary temperature requirements in the single receiver parts. The PV cells require low temperatures to achieve high efficiency, whereas the thermal part should generate high temperatures for providing industrial heat. The approach of “Spectral Splitting” can offer a solution for compact CPVT receivers; however, a clear quantification of the expected conversion efficiency is difficult. Therefore, this paper describes a modelling methodology for obtaining electrical and thermal performance parameters for a Spectral Splitting configuration using semiconductor-doped glass combined with appropriate heat transfer fluid. The PV technologies c-Si, CIGS and CdTe are considered. The presented model yields distinct results for maximising the electrical efficiency, calculates the reduction in waste heat dissipation within the cells and assesses the impacts of concentration factor and cell temperature. An optimised configuration could be found with CIGS cells, impinged by a selected wavelength spectrum between 868 nm and 1100 nm, where the theoretical efficiency reaches 42.9%. The waste heat dissipation within the cells is reduced by 84.9%, compared to a full-spectrum operation. The depicted CPVT receiver design using bendable thin-film PV cells will be realised as a prototype in a subsequent project phase.

The aim of the study was the design, characteristics and analysis of the TNFα interaction with oligopeptideanalogs of the interaction site of TNFα with TNFα-R2. Here are the results of the analysis contact zone of TNFα with TNFα-R2, determination of the potentially most effective oligopeptides, study of the binding free energy of oligopeptides and its changes depending on the number of amino acid residues in the peptide chain, as well as the TNFα form (monomer or trimer). Here are described the most typical loci of oligopeptides interaction with cytokine. To confirm the calculations, the effectiveness of the selected oligopeptides was evaluated in experiments in vitro. For visualization of the molecular complex and work with the pdb file we are used Chimera 1.14 software with AutoDocVina utility. For in vitro studies, were used indirect enzyme immunoassay reagent kits. The initial concentration of oligopeptides is 10 µM, the initial concentration of TNFα (×10–8): 0; 0.0287; 0.0862; 0.2300; 0.5750; 1.4370 µM. When oligopeptides interact with mTNFα, the binding efficiency increase was observed with an increase in the number of amino acid residues in the chain. With tTNFα, such dependence was not observed. A statistically significant difference was  observed in the binding energy of di-, tri-, and tetra peptides with mTNFα, with tTNFα, the differences found were not statistically significant. Thus, the data were obtained, which allowed us to come to the following conclusions: 1) the energy of interaction of oligopeptides with tTNFα does not depend on the number of amino acid residues in the oligopeptide; 2) the trimerized form of TNFα interacts most effectively with oligopeptides in comparison with mTNFα; 3) oligopeptides containing the -Trp- and being a spatial analogue of the TNFα-R2 fragment (-Trp65-Asn66-Trp67-Val68-Pro69-) interact most effectively; 4) it was selected three oligopeptides are the most promising for the binding of TNFα. The experiments in vitro confirmed the effectiveness only one oligopeptide

Abstract The research results presented in the article are devoted to the compressed air adsorption drying processes energy intensity reducing possibilities study. The investigation concerns the new adsorbent – composite. The material is considered as one of the most perspective at the present time. It’s ehergy efficiency is proved comparing traditional adsorbents such as silica gel, alumogel, zeolites, etc. The authors consider the bulk density as one of the factors at the adsorption process energy efficiency increase. The formulas given at the articles allow to calculate the different adsorbents bulk and apparent density, the compressor’s energy efficiency by using different adsorbents at pneumatic schemes, etc.
