A theoretical study of the potential-time response to sinusoidal current applied to static and dynamic electrodes for regeneration processes is presented. Methods for determination of the regeneration fraction, rate constant of the chemical reaction and heterogeneous kinetic parameters are proposed.

The theoretical approach to the application of the first period of a sinusoidal current at static and dynamic spherical electrodes for study of EC mechanism is presented. Methods for determining heterogeneous and homogeneous kinetic parameters are proposed. In order to check theoretical result, the rate of benzidine rearrangement was evaluated from transition time measurements.

In a previous work, the authors presented a semianalytical treatment of the electromagnetic field distribution in the case of a straight conductor carrying a sinusoidal current parallel to a thin conducting plate. The result of this investigation is extended here to the evaluation of the repulsive forces accompanying this type of electromagnetic interaction. The variation of such forces with geometric parameters is studied in the presence of a single conductor, and in the case of several conductors laying in a plane parallel to the surface of the material submitted to the induction phenomenon. The problem of lévitation in steady-state conditions is examined, in the light of this arrangement, for various conducting materials. Graphs illustrate the results obtained and make evident their practical interest particularly in the stationary case of magnetically levitated vehicles.

In this paper we evaluate several well-known and widely used machine learning algorithms for regression in the energy disaggregation task. Specifically, the Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring approach was considered and the K-Nearest-Neighbours, Support Vector Machines, Deep Neural Networks and Random Forest algorithms were evaluated across five datasets using seven different sets of statistical and electrical features. The experimental results demonstrated the importance of selecting both appropriate features and regression algorithms. Analysis on device level showed that linear devices can be disaggregated using statistical features, while for non-linear devices the use of electrical features significantly improves the disaggregation accuracy, as non-linear appliances have non-sinusoidal current draw and thus cannot be well parametrized only by their active power consumption. The best performance in terms of energy disaggregation accuracy was achieved by the Random Forest regression algorithm.

This paper presents the design and control of a grid-connected flyback inverter with a DC active filter for photovoltaic (PV) cells. The proposed topology consists of a flyback DC-AC inverter and a DC active filter that can operate independently. The flyback inverter, controlled in digital peak current mode, regulates the full-wave rectified sinusoidal current later, which is alternately inverted and injected into the grid. The DC active filter regulates the smooth current/power drawn from a PV module by using cascaded proportional-integral (PI) controllers. Analysis, design and control of the proposed topology are presented. A 100W/220V/50Hz prototype is developed and tested. The experimental results show that the proposed flyback inverter with a DC active filter is capable of regulating a sinusoidal current fed into the grid, actively filtering the DC current/power and achieving reasonably high energy conversion efficiency.
