In order to better adapt to the modern physics experiments under intelligent conditions, we examined a number of modern physics experiment the intelligent way from data acquisition and processing and concluded: Data collection can be attributed to two ways, one way is by means of computer device (such as sound card) to receive data, another way to install the data acquisition card (or frame grabber), moreover to install device driver in the computer; Modern experimental data processing is the main purpose of the intelligentization, with special software, fast data processing, and giving visual results. The results contribute to a better use of computer-based modern physics experiments.

A novel control platform for the permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) drive system has been built up based on virtual instrument (VI) and relavant data acquisition card (DAQ) devices. In the traditional control platform, it mostly depends on digital signal processor (DSP), which needs a lot of time to further develop the interface between the personal computer (PC) and operators, and its computational capability is not strong than computer. To overcome these shortages, a novel control platform is presented on the base of one PC, one LabVIEW, and one multifunctional data acquisition card. Firstly, a space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) signal source is executed in the VI. Then in order to improve the precision of control system, the field oriented control (FOC) is proposed for the PMLSM. Finally comprehensive experiments verify with relative simulations.

To improve data transmission performance of the data acquisition card, a design of high-speed data transmission system is proposed in the thesis. Using FPGA of programmable logic devices, adopting Verilog HDL of hardware description language, the design of modularization and DMA transmission method is implemented in FPGA. Eventually the design implements the data transmission with high-speed through PCI Express interface. Through simulation and verification based on hardware system, this design is proved to be feasible and can satisfy the performance requirements of data transmission in the high-speed data acquisition card applied in high-speed railway communication. The design also has some value of application and reference for a universal data acquisition card.

Since automatic control is used in every field, there is almost no industrial application system which doesn’t employ the sensors. It makes correctly reading the data obtained from sensors in the system with sensors and transmitting this data into the computer more important. In this executed study, a design for an interface which can be easily used with a low cost data processing card and with flexible structure was performed. In the executed system, the PIC18F4550 microcontroller was used and data can be accurately read from 10 different channels. The data read from the designed data acquisition card was transferred into a computer interface program prepared in C# program using a USB and recorded into the database in the Microsoft Access program. The designed interface, the values of read signals and their graphs may be displayed on the screen. Thus, the interface screen may be used as both an indicator and oscilloscope screen.

A solution of intelligent test system for mechanical property of geotextile material which based on high speed data acquisition card PCI-1714 is introduced in this paper. Microprocessor and drive card PCI-1240 are also used to control and drive the test equipment. The article discussed in detail the system’s overall design, the hardware structure, software design, and process of data acquisition. Software is designed by Visual Basic 6.0. This paper research and implement on accurate measurement of mechanics performance of geotextile material.
