Currently, the existing condition-based maintenance (CBM) diagnostic test practices for ultrasound require the tester to interpret test results manually. Different testers may give different opinions or interpretations of the detected ultrasound. It leads to wrong interpretation due to depending on tester experience. Furthermore, there is no commercially available product to standardize the interpretation of the ultrasound data. Therefore, the objective is the correct interpretation of an ultrasound, which is one of the CBM methods for medium switchgears, by using an artificial neural network (ANN), to give more accurate results when assessing their condition. Information and test results from various switchgears were gathered in order to develop the classification and severity of the corona, surface discharge, and arcing inside of the switchgear. The ultrasound data were segregated based on their defects found during maintenance. In total, 314 cases of normal, 160 cases of the corona, 149 cases of tracking, and 203 cases of arcing were collected. Noise from ultrasound data was removed before uploading it as a training process to the ANN engine, which used the extreme learning machine (ELM) model. The developed AI-based switchgear faults classification system was designed and incorporated with the feature of scalability and can be tested and replicated for other switchgear conditions. A customized graphical user interface (GUI), Ultrasound Analyzer System (UAS), was also developed, to enable users to obtain the switchgear condition or classification output via a graphical interface screen. Hence, accurate decision-making based on this analysis can be made to prioritize the urgency for the remedial works.

M-WebQuest is a teaching model adapted from WebQuest created firstly by Bernie Dodge, where its development is used ADDIE model. This research aims to develop M-WebQuest to improve reading comprehension attainment of senior high school students Grade XI in Pekanbaru, Riau – Indonesia. In gaining the feasibility of the developed M-WebQuest, 3 experts, 10 English teachers and 30 students were involved. Based on the given questionnaire analysis, the experts agree on the feasibility of created M-WebQuest in terms of technical, content, material unit, and impacts of using M-WebQuest on students and teachers. The English teachers and the students are also agree on the feasibility of created M-WebQuest in terms of interface screen, texts, and content. Overall, it can be concluded that M-WebQuest can be used for the learning activities of English Reading Comprehension subject

This paper presents a comparative study of partial discharge (PD) detection technique of power transformer model. The acoustic emission (AE) method was applied to detect the signal from PD-origin in a model of the power transformer tank according to IEEE standard C57.127. The Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) technique was additionally applied. In the experiment, a simulated PD-origin was set up inside the transformer tank. Four acoustic sensors were installed on the tank surface, which were used to detect and provide the signal to a signal amplifier and data recorder. Multifunction Compact NI-DAQ 9223 was used together with 1 slot Chassis model 9191 in order to transfer the data to computer by using LAN or wireless system. The AE signal of PD-origin was then collected and analyzed with the Lab View program to identify the location of PD-origin. All physical dimensions of power transformer such as width, length and height and position of each acoustic sensor (in centimeters) were loaded into the main program. Then, the pattern of PD-origin was simulated at different positions in oil-filled transformer tank model. Finally, the localization result was displayed in a graphic user-interface screen. The acquired signal from this method was subsequently compared with the conventional PD detection method using IEC60270 standard in order to observe the PD. The experimental results were satisfactory and could be applied practically.

Since automatic control is used in every field, there is almost no industrial application system which doesn’t employ the sensors. It makes correctly reading the data obtained from sensors in the system with sensors and transmitting this data into the computer more important. In this executed study, a design for an interface which can be easily used with a low cost data processing card and with flexible structure was performed. In the executed system, the PIC18F4550 microcontroller was used and data can be accurately read from 10 different channels. The data read from the designed data acquisition card was transferred into a computer interface program prepared in C# program using a USB and recorded into the database in the Microsoft Access program. The designed interface, the values of read signals and their graphs may be displayed on the screen. Thus, the interface screen may be used as both an indicator and oscilloscope screen.

AbstractThe aim of the paper is to examine the relationships maintained with the interface screen concept and box art, virtual reality, film and video games. To do a genealogy of mediation is established through the screen from the birth of perspective in the Renaissance, as the starting point of the dominant visual representation to present. The analysis shows the changes in the relationship between the three elements of the representation: the viewer, the screen and the scene, which were caused by the emergence of the avant-garde and interactive art in reaction to model realistic representation. This route leads to the conclusion that the interface in addition to its mediating role, has become the paradigm of modern communication, integrated into the process of relief that realistic digital representation has given myth.

Deficiency of traditional lifting equipment selection among Multi-Rope mining friction hoist mainly displays in: the existence of larger theoretical and practical deviation of skip load. Key components do not match lifting machine. In consistency between design and actual situation, significantly affected the accuracy of the lifting equipment type selection. Therefore according to the working conditions, it has set up some different multiple mathematical models by the stepwise regression method, nonlinear regression modeling method, method of weighted coefficient and other different modeling methods. Design and select the optimal model for user interface screen by using Matlab GUI and access to calculation data and describe the graphic curve for various model result. Calculate the model results and the average error of the standard load and obtain the optimal model. Finally, design out the lifting equipment selection software of different situations such as economic speed, cycle time, single and double skip, which reduce the selection error, tedious calculation, low efficiency. At the same time, it is convenient for user to use and can constantly expand other functions.
