The paper discusses a proposed model for car parking system based on cluster head routing protocol utilizing a low cost and power efficient communication technology, ZigBee (IEEE 802.15.4). The model is designed in a way that car parking is divided into different clusters and each cluster has a head which acts a messenger for transmitting information to other heads and the coordinator of the network. Each cluster head is a ZigBee Host (Router) which collects the information of car presence in the parking slot. This information is then passed to the coordinator of the network which is used to display the information of available parking slots in a specific car parking area. Since there is only one coordinator in the network, so heads can transmit information to the coordinator using multi-hop communication if direct communication is not possible. Several simulations were performed to gauge the efficiency of the proposed model, and results show that the proposed model is reliable in communication and efficient in its operation.

The flying ad hoc network (FANET) has emerged as an alternative access technology for regions that have no fixed infrastructure or are hard to reach. This new type of network is composed of devices called unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that communicate with each other, but there is no specific routing protocol to FANET applications that allows efficient communication between these devices. This paper proposes a FANET adaptive routing protocol based on the fuzzy system. The validation of the FANET adaptive protocol was performed through simulation using Network Simulator version 2 (NS-2) and, it was assessed by quality of service (QoS) and quality of experience (QoE) metrics.

Ad hoc network paved way to various researches and application due to its wide acceptance over wired network. The advance has also led to various drawbacks or problems that can result in unauthorized usage of data or in data loss. So secured data transfer has become an important requirement in any Ad hoc network. Various issues exist in Ad hoc network while data transmission and hence it has become a major requirement to develop an efficient routing protocol that can transmit the data securely over the network. So, this paper provides a solution, intend to develop an approach for making the data transmission more secured and feasible. This paper incorporates double encryption scheme to secure the data where we use Hybrid DNA based cryptosystem and blow fish algorithm for authentication of users. Also, we design an efficient optimal routing protocol that makes the transmission secured by reducing various attacks that occur in the network. It provides the security for image transmission over internet effectively. This technique also can be extended in multimedia security over the internet. The network parameters will be approximately judged in order to demonstrate the performance of the scheme we develop.

To improve the data transmission reliability of wireless meter reading system, a bidirectional routing algorithm is proposed. The routing algorithm is developed to make all nodes in the network establish optimal routing and register a complete neighbor table for routing maintenance. The neighbor exchange mechanism based on Hello Packet can timely detect changes in network topology and solve the problem of nodes flexibly coming in or out of the network. Simulation and system testing have all verified the reliability and usefulness of the algorithm which can satisfy the need of wireless meter reading application.
