The integration of navigation systems and smart tour guide apps has gained popularity among travellers with the rapid development of the internet, mobile technology, and the wide acceptance of smartphones. The purpose of the study is twofold: (1) to assess the growth of smart tour guide apps in India and (2) to examine the tourists' experiences in using smart tour guide apps. To achieve the purpose of the study, a content analysis method was employed to analyse the users' reviews on the “Audio Odigos” and the “Trip My Way,” which are very popular tour guide apps in India. The results reveal that smart tour guide apps are more preferred than the human tour guide. An app-based tour guide facilitates exceptional experiences for accurate and useful information on historical monument tours, city tours, and destination tours. Thus, the findings can be used to improve the existing apps and develop more sophisticated apps in the future that can ensure sustainable smart tourism.

Hallyu phenomenon is a globalized cultural product from South Korea that has spread uncontrollably into many parts of the world, and Malaysia was no exception. With the aid of media and the internet, the domination of its significant products such as K-drama, K-pop music, K-Food, K-Beauty, and technology brands left an indisputable impact on society. Hallyu's wide acceptance in Malaysia, however, received backlash from the anti-Hallyu group who criticized it for degrading the value of Malaysian culture, specifically targeting young females in Malaysia for their "obsession" with this foreign culture. This paper aimed to study the relationship between the globalization of Hallyu phenomenon and young females in Malaysia. It employed a quantitative method to explore the impact of Hallyu on young females' attitudes and behaviour by distributing online surveys to 300 targeted respondents with prior knowledge regarding the topic. The findings showed that the most popular Hallyu cultural product is K-Pop, which consequently further influenced their attitude and behaviour towards other Hallyu products. The success of Hallyu culture among young females in Malaysia owed a lot to the internet and social media as the tools to disperse information, hence shaping their thoughts, attitudes and behaviour on the issue. The results also noted a few behavioural changes among the respondents in terms of time and money spent on Hallyu products. Overall, this study suggested that most respondents have a positive attitude towards Hallyu and that any behavioural changes were still within their control, hence denying the claim of "obsession" and "degrading one's cultural value" as claimed by the anti-Hallyu group.

AbstractOne of the factors associated with the educational use of video games is the conception that teachers and students have about their educative usefulness. However, there are no studies that identify what aspects are considered more effective to learn with video games and what kind of learning is more accessible using them. This study aims at identifying pre-service teachers’ conceptions regarding video game use for learning and specifically to know what aspects and learning they consider are more feasible. Likewise, we analyzed the pedagogical training effect of these conceptions for three groups of university students: primary pre-service teachers (who received general pedagogical training), secondary pre-service teachers (who received pedagogical training in only one area of knowledge) and other university students without pedagogical training. We applied a questionnaire to a sample of 422 university students. This questionnaire had two dimensions that differentiated between the pragmatic and epistemic uses of video games for learning and three dimensions about the different verbal, procedural and attitudinal learning which can be achieved with them. The results showed wide acceptance of video games as a learning resource in university students, but in particular secondary pre-service teachers pointed out higher possibilities of achieving learning with video games than primary pre-service teachers. On the other hand, university students pointed out more learning when video games were used in an epistemic way. In addition, they considered video games favor more verbal and procedural learnings than attitudinal ones. In conclusion, despite the positive conceptions of the students about learning with video games, we observed a less positive pattern in pre-service teachers with general pedagogical training. These results suggest that video game incorporation in schools is not being carried out fruitfully by education faculties. Therefore, we advocated for 21st-century training that optimized new conceptions and uses of video games.

Using bone grafts has been described in the literature for multiple decades and has been applied within the different medical fields. Furthermore, in the field of dentistry, evidence shows that these approaches have been widely used for different purposes, including the management of craniofacial defects and dental implantology. However, it should be noted that many disadvantages have been reported for the different tissue sources of bone grafting in dental implants despite the wide acceptance of the outcomes and favorable prognosis with these materials. Therefore, many efforts were conducted to innovate further approaches with reduced disadvantages and favorable outcomes. Our present study discusses the types and tissue sources of bone grafts in the settings of dental implants. This can provide dentists with better information and enhanced knowledge levels about the tissue sources of dental implants, which should help them decide the most appropriate source with the least adverse events. Different tissue sources were reported in the literature, including materials that are no longer used for their disadvantages and associated complications. Among the proposed materials, biomimetics has been reported with favorable outcomes and reduced adverse events, and using combinations of these materials can furtherly enhance the prognosis. Further research is needed to innovate additional modalities that can overcome the currently reported limitations.

The authors describe the practice of psychodynamic psychiatry in the Philippines. They review features of contemporary psychodynamic psychiatry, the state of psychodynamic psychiatry in training programs, and its integration in national professional societies. Despite psychodynamic psychiatry's wide acceptance in the professional community in the Philippines and neighboring Southeast Asian countries, delivery of care to over 110 million residents of the archipelago requires creativity given the small number of psychiatrists. The authors discuss how psychodynamic psychiatry impacts the national mental health scene and propose future directions involving forging international linkages.

Abstract These recommendations are specifically for polymers and polymer systems showing a significant response to an electromagnetic field or one of its components (electric field or magnetic field), i.e., for electromagnetic-field-responsive polymer materials. The structures, processes, phenomena and quantities relating to this interdisciplinary field of materials science and technology are herein defined. Definitions are unambiguously explained and harmonized for wide acceptance by the chemistry, physics, polymer and materials science communities. A survey of typical electromagnetic-field-responsive polymers is included.

The main aim of introducing biomimetic materials is to achieve successful remineralization using biocompatible and optimally functioning materials that can be used to manage diseased and defective tissues in a minimally invasive process. Recently, evidence shows that many biomimetics was introduced with excellent advantages and favorable outcomes in the different fields of dentistry. A wide acceptance of biomimetics was reported in the field of dentistry as the modalities were efficaciously applied in the different endodontic and restorative procedures. In the present literature review, we have discussed the biomimetic mechanical characteristics of the different restoration materials that are currently used in the field of restorative dentistry. The current evidence supports the use and applications for biomimetics in the field of restorative dentistry based on the extensively reported evidence regarding the mechanical and functional characteristics of these modalities which mimic the functions of normal teeth. Accordingly, these modalities can be used to solve the underlying clinical challenges that are routinely faced in the settings of restoration. Furthermore, different materials were introduced and evaluated for their efficacies, and the clinical decision of these materials is based on many factors and should be taken based on dentist-and-patient interaction.

The Greek cities of the western coast of the Black Sea knew both foundation myths and the phenomenon of the second foundation, associated with the rebuilding of civic life after the invasion of Burebista, the king of the Getae and Dacian tribes from 82 bce to 44 bce. In most foundation stories the ktistes is either a god (in the case of the city of Dionysopolis) or a hero (in the cases of the cities of Kallatis, Tomis and Anchialos), and the stories date mostly to the Antonine age. The story of Tomos of Tomis stands out owing to its wide acceptance among the local elite, while that of Melsas of Mesambria may have never gained official acceptance: it was created in the late Hellenistic age, probably reviving a Thracian tale of Melsas, perhaps a hero, known from early-third century bce coins. The Melsas story is a prime example of cultural transfers from the native population to Greek-majority Mesambria in the Hellenistic and early Roman ages.

The so-called Person-Centered Care (PCC) model identifies three fundamental principles: changing the focus of attention from the disease to the person, individualizing care, and promoting empowerment. The Person-Centered Care Assessment Tool (P-CAT) has gained wide acceptance as a measure of PCC in recent years due to its brevity and simplicity, as well as its ease of application and interpretation. The objective of this study is to carry out a reliability generalization meta-analysis to estimate the internal consistency of the P-CAT and analyze possible factors that may affect it, such as the year of publication, the care context, the application method, and certain sociodemographic properties of the study sample. The mean value of α for the 25 samples of the 23 studies in the meta-analysis was 0.81 (95% CI: 0.79–0.84), with high heterogeneity (squared-I = 85.83%). The only variable that had a statistically significant relationship with the reliability coefficient was the mean age of the sample. The results show that the P-CAT gives acceptably consistent scores when its use is oriented toward the description and investigation of groups, although it may be affected by variables such as the age of participants.

Abstract BackgroundThe use of tendon allografts for orthopedic repair has gained wide acceptance in recent years, most notably in anterior cruciate tendon reconstruction. Multiple studies support the use of tendon allografts and the benefits of its use are well accepted and understood. One of the important criteria of the use of tendon allografts is statistically similar histological and biomechanical properties to autographs. Five major scientific literature databases (Web of Science, Science Direct, Scopus, PloS ONE, Hindawi) and additional sources were used. ResultsThe objective of this systematic literature review is to investigate and categorize existing clamps used in the determination of the biomechanical properties (maximum load, maximum strength, modulus of elasticity, ultimate strain, stiffness) of tendons. Studies had to use an endurance test of tendons and clamps in detail. The database search and additional sources resulted in 274 records. 216 records eliminated during the screening for various reasons. The number of articles used in the final synthesis was 58. Search for publications dated between 1991 and Oct 31st, 2020. A variety of clamps for use during the endurance test of tendons were identified and categorized according to the temperature used during the measurement. The clamps are divided into three groups: room temperature, cooled or heated clamps.ConclusionsOn the basis of the systematic literature review, mechanical parameters determined by usage with cooled clamps proved to be more reliable than with those at room temperature and with heated clamps. The main advantage of the cooled clamps is that there is no limit to the type and length of the tendon. This study provides an overview of clamps and does not represent the modernity of any method.
