Proximate, mineral, amino acid, fatty acid, vitamin E, phytate phosphate and fibre composition of Mimusops zeyheri (Red Milkwood) seed

In this study, culture medium and growth conditions were detected for Desmodesmus communis (E. Hegewald) E. Hegewald (Sphaeropleales) with KF470792 Accession Number that isolated from Thrace inland water (Bahçedere Stream, Tekirdağ, Turkey) and determined by molecular taxonomy techniques. The microalgae was cultured under detected conditions (nutrients, pH, temperature, light density and aeration) and when the culture was reached to stationary phase microalgae biomass was harvested for biochemical analysis. Total protein, total lipid, fatty acid and amino acid compositions, vitamin E amounts and variety were detected. Cell density was 9.76x105 colony/ml; dry biomass was 0.762 g/l; chlorophyll-a was 13.3 mg/l in BG11 culture medium (7.5 pH, 24±2ºC, 500 ml/min. aeration). According to biochemical analysis; total protein amount was 42.59% (dw/w); total lipid amount was 5.23% (dw/w) and vitamin E amount was 3694.24 µg/glipid. The most abundant fatty acid was linolenic acid (35.18%); amino acid was glutamic acid (46.9 mg/g).

Evaluation of various organic solvent extracts of marine red algae Gracilaria fergusonii used for priliminary screening of phytoconstituents and in-vitro total antioxidant activity. The phytochemical screening was carried out by cooling percolation extraction using different solvents like acetone, ethanol, chloroform, petroleum ether, benzene, methanol and water. The standard regression of alpha tocopherol gives linear regression [y=0.0004x + 0.0807 (R2= 0.9814)] obtained and used to calculate the standard and the total antioxidant activity are expressed as equivalents of vitamin E (µg g-1). The present study reavealed that most of the phytochemicals like alkaloids,  coumarin, flavonoids, phenol, quinons, steroids, saponin, tannins, glycosides, amino acid, sugar, protein and fatty acid were present in the dried algal sample. The total antioxidant activity was done by phosphomolybdate method using α- tocopherol as standard. Keywords: Gracilaria fergusonii, phytoconstituents, antioxidant, α-tocopherol

<p>The purpose of study was to know nutrient content of bilih fish <em>Mystacoleucus padangenesis</em> Blkr eggs meal to provide basic information for local material based fish feed development. The eggs were collected from fishermen. Parameters observed were proximate (protein, fat, moisture and ash), minerals (mangan and zinc), amino acid total, fatty acid, and vitamins (A, C and E) levels. The study showed that bilih fish eggs meal contained protein 22,44-59,90%, fat 12,67-18,09%, moisture 7,33-10,62%, ash 3,25-5,43%, amino acid total 14,57-27, 50%, fatty acid 0,24-0,53%, mangan 1,38-1,66 mg/100 g, zinc 22,39-24,73 mg/ 100 g, vitamin  A 188,95-218,44 mg/100 g, vitamin C  10,42-18,08  mg/100 g and  vitamin  E 8,64-10,39 mg/100 g samples. Telur dikumpulkan dari nelayan.  Parameter yang diamati adalah proksimat (protein, lemak, air dan abu), mineral (mangan dan seng), total asam amino, asam lemak, dan vitamin (A, C, E). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tepung telur ikan bilih mengandung protein 22,44-59,90%, lemak 12,67-18,09%, air 7,33-10,62%, abu 3,25-5,43%, asam amino total 14,57-27, 50%, asam lemak 0,24-0,53%, mangan 1,38-1,66 mg /100 g , seng 22,39-24,73 mg/100 g, vitamin A 188,95-218,44 mg/100 g, vitamin C 10,42-18,08 mg/100 g dan vitamin E 8,64-10,39 mg/100 g sampel. Sebagai kesimpulan adalah bahwa tepung telur ikan bilih memiliki potensi untuk digunakan sebagai bahan pengkayaan pakan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan reproduksi ikan.</p> <p>Kata kunci: telur ikan bilih, proksimat, asam amino, asam lemak, mineral, vitamin</p>
