ABSTRACT Deinococcus marmoris strain PAMC 26562 was isolated from Usnea sp., a lichen collected from King George Island, Antarctica. We report here the draft genome sequence of strain PAMC 26562, which has xanthorhodopsin and carbon monoxide dehydrogenase genes in addition to major metabolic pathways presented in deinococcal genomes.

ABSTRACT The spore-forming, thermophilic, and obligate anaerobic bacterium Moorella stamsii was isolated from digester sludge. Apart from its ability to use carbon monoxide for growth, M. stamsii harbors several enzymes for the use of different sugars. The draft genome has a size of 3,329 Mb and contains 3,306 predicted protein-encoding genes.

ABSTRACT The draft genome sequence of a moderately halophilic bacterium, Halomonas titanicae strain TAT1, isolated from production water of the Romashkinskoe oilfield (Russia) is presented. The genome is annotated for elucidation of the metabolic pathways involved in hydrocarbon degradation and nitrate reduction in petroleum-contaminated hypersaline environments.

ABSTRACT Prevotella copri, a Gram-negative anaerobic rod-shaped bacterium, is frequently associated with the human gastrointestinal tract and influences host physiology, immunity, and metabolic pathways. In the present study, we report the draft genome sequence of P. copri isolated from the gut of a healthy Indian adult.

We report the draft genome sequence of Variovorax boronicumulans strain HAB-30, which was isolated from a phenol-degrading chemostat culture. This strain contains genes encoding a multicomponent type of phenol hydroxylase, with degradation pathways for catechol and other aromatic compounds. The genome sequence will be useful for understanding the metabolic pathways involved in phenol degradation.

ABSTRACT Lactobacillus helveticus is a thermophilic lactic acid bacterium that is widely employed as a starter culture for manufacturing several Swiss and Italian hard-cooked cheeses. The sequencing of L. helveticus Lh 23, which consists of 2,100,230 bp with a GC content of 36.5%, reveals industrially useful traits and interesting metabolic pathways.

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Pseudorhodobacter sp. strain E13, a Gram-negative, aerobic, nonflagellated, and rod-shaped bacterium which was isolated from the Yellow Sea in South Korea. The assembled genome sequence is 3,878,578 bp long with 3,646 protein-coding sequences in 159 contigs.

ABSTRACT Vibrio harveyi is a Gram-negative bacterium associated with vibriosis in penaeid shrimp. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of a V. harveyi strain isolated from Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) during a vibriosis outbreak. The availability of this genome will aid future studies of vibriosis in shrimp aquaculture.
