Lactobacillus iners is a common member of the human vaginal microbiota, with a genome size smaller than that of other lactobacilli. Here, we report the complete genome sequences of six L. iners strains isolated from different vaginal swab specimens. Three strains were found to harbor ∼100-kbp plasmids, which were not known previously.

Phages vB_EcoM-EP75 (EP75) and vB_EcoP-EP335 (EP335) specifically infect Shiga toxin (Stx)-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) O157 strains. EP75 has a genome size of 158,143 bp and belongs to the genus Vi1virus.

ABSTRACT We present the complete genomes of four Brucella suis biovar 2 isolates that were obtained from wild boars in Switzerland in 2008 and 2009. Genomes were sequenced with PacBio technology, contained two chromosomes each, had a genome size of 3.3 Mbp, and contained more than 3,225 genes per genome.

Erwinia amylovora is a plant pathogen belonging to the Enterobacteriaceae family, a family containing many plant and animal pathogens. Herein, we announce nine genome sequences of E. amylovora bacteriophages isolated from infected apple trees along the Wasatch Front in Utah.

ABSTRACT The complete genomes of two Vibrio cholerae bacteriophages of potential interest for cholera bacteriophage (phage) therapy were sequenced and annotated. The genome size of phage 24 is 44,395 bp encoding 71 putative proteins, and that of phage X29 is 41,569 bp encoding 68 putative proteins.

ABSTRACT Adlercreutzia equolifaciens subsp. celatus DSM 18785 was isolated from the cecal contents of a rat and is an obligately anaerobic equol-producing bacterium. Here, we report the finished and annotated genome sequence of this organism, which has a genome size of 2,929,991 bp and a G+C content of 63.2%.

ABSTRACT Erwinia amylovora is the causal agent of fire blight, a devastating disease affecting some plants of the Rosaceae family. We isolated bacteriophages from samples collected from infected apple and pear trees along the Wasatch Front in Utah. We announce 19 high-quality complete genome sequences of E. amylovora bacteriophages.

ABSTRACT This paper reports the genome sequences of bacteriophages isolated from soil samples using Microbacterium foliorum. Phages Danno and Otwor (cluster EE) have genomes of 17,452 bp and 17,454 bp, respectively, and 25 predicted genes. The phage Scumberland (cluster EC) has a genome of 53,276 bp with 92 predicted genes.

ABSTRACT Here, we report the complete genome sequences of four clinical isolates of extensively drug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (XDRAB), isolated in Thailand. These results revealed multiple antimicrobial-resistant genes, each involving two sequence type 16 (ST16) isolates, ST2, and a novel sequence type isolate, ST1479.
