ABSTRACT We report here the draft genome sequence of the soil bacterium Gordonia lacunae BS2T (= DSM 45085T = JCM 14873T = NRRL B-24551T), isolated from an estuary in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa. Analysis of the draft genome revealed that more than 40% of the secondary metabolite biosynthetic genes encode new compounds.

ABSTRACT Recently, we found that Streptomyces olivochromogenes NBRC 3561 produced a bioactive peptide, so we sequenced its genome to clarify its biosynthesis. We report here the draft genome sequence of S. olivochromogenes NBRC 3561, in which 40 potential secondary metabolite gene clusters were predicted by antiSMASH.

ABSTRACT Lysobacter niastensis belongs to a group of bacterial predators that produce a number of bioactive small molecules endowed with lytic properties toward other microorganisms. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of the type strain DSM 18481 and the identification of gene clusters implicated in the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites.

Streptomyces spongiicola strain 531S (NBRC 113560) was isolated from marine sediment on a beach on Sesoko Island (Okinawa, Japan). We report here the draft genome sequence of S. spongiicola 531S, in which 24 potential secondary metabolite gene clusters were predicted with antiSMASH.

Fusarium proliferatum is a component of the onion basal rot disease complex. We present an annotated F. proliferatum draft genome sequence, totaling 45.8 Mb in size, assembled into 597 contigs, with a predicted 15,418 genes. The genome contains 58 secondary metabolite clusters and homologs of the Fusarium oxysporum effector SIX2.

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Pseudorhodobacter sp. strain E13, a Gram-negative, aerobic, nonflagellated, and rod-shaped bacterium which was isolated from the Yellow Sea in South Korea. The assembled genome sequence is 3,878,578 bp long with 3,646 protein-coding sequences in 159 contigs.

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Aspergillus calidoustus (strain SF006504) . The functional annotation of A. calidoustus predicts a relatively large number of secondary metabolite gene clusters. The presented genome sequence builds the basis for further genome mining.

ABSTRACT Vibrio harveyi is a Gram-negative bacterium associated with vibriosis in penaeid shrimp. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of a V. harveyi strain isolated from Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) during a vibriosis outbreak. The availability of this genome will aid future studies of vibriosis in shrimp aquaculture.

ABSTRACTPantoeasp. strain A4 is a Gram-negative bacterium isolated from theRafflesiaflower. We present here, for the first time, the genome sequence ofRafflesia-associatedPantoeasp. strain A4, which exhibited quorum-sensing activity.
