Moment expansions for density functionals are revisited. This allows for a simple proof of the equivalence between the integrodifferential virial relation and the coordinate-scaling equation. The virial relation is then used to show how, starting from an exact and explicit form of a functional for one system, one may deduce the exact functional for other systems with the same number of electrons.

Abstract An approach guided by physical consistency in determining the general forms of D-dimensional kinetic energy density functionals (KEDF) has been demonstrated previously, producing an expansion which contains the majority of the known one-point KEDF forms. It is known that any noninteracting KEDF shall necessarily have a homogeneity degree of 2 in coordinate scaling. This paper demonstrates that this condition is already satisfied in the general expansion despite not being conceived with the scaling as a constraint.

ZusammenfassungDie Langerhans-Zell-Histiozytose (LCH) ist eine seltene histiozytäre Erkrankung (Inzidenz: 0,2–2,0/100 000 Kinder unter 15 Jahren) mit einem sehr heterogenen klinischen Verlauf. Spontane Regressionen werden ebenso beobachtet wie chronische Reaktivierungen. Das klinische Spektrum reicht von einem isolierten Befall des Skeletts oder der Haut, bis hin zur ausgedehnten Multiorganerkrankung mit einem progredienten und lebensbedrohli-chen Verlauf. Das diagnostische und therapeutische Vorgehen konnte durch prospektive internationale Studien der Histiocyte Society standardisiert werden. Dies resultiert in einer Verbesserung von Heilungsrate und Prognose. Je nach Krankheitsausdehnung reicht die Behandlungsstrategie von einer abwartenden Haltung oder dem Einsatz einer lokalen/topischen Therapie bei monosystemischer LCH (single system LCH; SS-LCH) bis hin zur systemischen Chemotherapie bei multi-systemischer LCH (MS-LCH). Auch auf dem Gebiet der Grundlagenforschung konnten in den letzten Jahren große Fortschritte im Hinblick auf ein besseres Verständnis der Biologie und Pathogenese der Erkrankung erzielt werden. Die dabei gewonnenen Informationen werden als Grundlage für neue Therapieansätze dienen.

This paper presents  a technique by which the transfer matrix in explicit form of an orthotropic layer can be easily obtained. This transfer matrix is applicable for both the wave propagation problem and the reflection/transmission problem. The obtained transfer matrix is then employed to derive the explicit secular equation of Rayleigh waves propagating in an orthotropic half-space coated by an orthotropic layer of arbitrary thickness.

В статье рассматривается модель эндогенного роста с человеческим капи-талом на простой пространственной структуре (окружности). Особое вни-мание уделено специальному случаю - комбинации параметров, при кото-рой удаётся получить решение задачи центрального планировщика на окружности в явном виде, что другим авторам не удавалось. In this article the endogenous growth model with human capital on the simple spatial structure (the circle) is considered. We pay main attention to a special case of a combination of parameters for which we were able to solve the central plan-ner problem on the circle in an explicit form, which other authors did not suc-ceed to do.

: Hemorrhoidal Disease (HD) is widely diffused throughout the general population. The system of classification currently used to categorize this pathology is that of Goligher (1975). This system only defines the morphology of the most represented hemorrhoid bearing. Several attempts in literature have been made to replace this system, but as of yet, no single system has been universally accepted. Some studies, however, have succeeded in identifying specific characteristics, besides morphology, that would be able to aptly define HD. An analysis of this literature, with careful consideration of the scores that have previously been proposed, is necessary in order to deepen and stimulate discussion about a possible new definition of HD.
