Antlion Optimization (ALO) is one of the latest population based optimization methods that proved its good performance in a variety of applications. The ALO algorithm copies the hunting mechanism of antlions to ants in nature. Community detection in social networks is conclusive to understanding the concepts of the networks. Identifying network communities can be viewed as a problem of clustering a set of nodes into communities. k-median clustering is one of the popular techniques that has been applied in clustering. The problem of clustering network can be formalized as an optimization problem where a qualitatively objective function that captures the intuition of a cluster as a set of nodes with better in ternal connectivity than external connectivity is selected to be optimized. In this paper, a mixture antlion optimization and k-median for solving the community detection problem is proposed and named as K-median Modularity ALO. Experimental results which are applied on real life networks show the ability of the mixture antlion optimization and k-median to detect successfully an optimized community structure based on putting the modularity as an objective function.

The popularity of the internet has increased the use of e-commerce websites and news channels. Fake news has been around for many years, and with the arrival of social media and modern-day news at its peak, easy access to e-platform and exponential growth of the knowledge available on social media networks has made it intricate to differentiate between right and wrong information, which has caused large effects on the offline society already. A crucial goal in improving the trustworthiness of data in online social networks is to spot fake news so the detection of spam news becomes important. For sentiment mining, the authors specialise in leveraging Facebook, Twitter, and Whatsapp, the most prominent microblogging platforms. They illustrate how to assemble a corpus automatically for sentiment analysis and opinion mining. They create a sentiment classifier using the corpus that can classify between fake, real, and neutral opinions in a document.

The social networking influences all areas of society and stimulates the activity of the social networks communities. Later the importance of social networks revised the researches of the sociological aspects of social solidarity. Solidarity of modern society intensifies according to a sharp increase of possibilities to communicate with the help of the social networks that has become tools of forming the online communities. The authors suggest a new term for characteristics of a new solidarity at network communities – online solidarity. This term shows the connotation with the Internet; it also shows that online solidarity arises on micro level of the interpersonal relations. In the article authors analyze the term and characteristics of online solidarity in network communities and represent the results of the original research (questionnaire, 2019) “Students on Social Networks”. The authors come to conclusion that users with lots of “friends” at social networks feel more successful and socially demanded. Despite of its flexibility and lightness online-solidarity plays an important role in the society and has an influence on the macro level of society.

Why do connected users in online social networks express similar emotions? Past approaches have suggested situational emotion transfers (i.e., contagion) and the phenomenon that emotionally similar users flock together (i.e., homophily). We analyze these mechanisms in unison by exploiting the hierarchical structure of YouTube through multilevel analyses, disaggregating the video- and channel-level effects of YouTuber emotions on audience comments. Dictionary analyses using the National Research Council emotion lexica were used to measure the emotions expressed in videos and user comments from 2,083 YouTube vlogs selected from 110 vloggers. We find that video- and channel-level emotions independently influence audience emotions, providing evidence for both contagion and homophily effects. Random slope models suggest that contagion strength varies between YouTube channels for some emotions. However, neither average channel-level emotions nor number of subscribers significantly moderate the strength of contagion effects. The present study highlights that multiple, independent mechanisms shape emotions in online social networks.

The paper focuses on social networking activities of university students from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) and Saint Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation. The authors make an attempt to determine the network communicative preferences of students that train for technical professions. The choice of the universities is motivated by the strategic importance of the professions obtained by their graduates. Respondents’ preferences in using various social networks for the instructions were detected by the questionnaire described in the paper. The results show strong preference of VK, Instagram, Facebook, but in practice, reflecting the access rate, only VK could be used for education purposes. It is noted that the network preferences of the students from both technical universities are in line with the general Russian trends. And though online social networks are used by them mostly for the sake of rest and recreation, for communicating with friends, the students show that they are greatly interested in accumulating their social and professional capital by means of online social networks. This fact runs counter to their evaluation of the content offered by the contemporary professionally oriented network communities, with which they are not satisfied.

The article discusses certain aspects of the commission of crimes related to bringing juveniles to suicide. The author’s classification of these crimes is proposed, relevant examples of judicial investigative practice are given. In addition, as an argument for the additional argumentation of the author’s arguments, the results of a sociological study on the activities of destructive network communities related to the incitement of minors to suicide were published.
