Crumb rubber modification has been proven to enhance the properties of pure bitumen. This paper looks at some of the international standards for producing crumb rubber modified bitumen (CRMB) and reviews the effect of crumb rubber to the rheology of crumb rubber modified bitumen. The review shows that the rheology of CRMB depends on internal factors such as crumb rubber quantity, particle size, and pure bitumen composition, and external factors such as the mixing time, temperature, and also the modification technique. These factors govern the swelling process of crumb rubber particles that lead to the increase of viscosity of the modified bitumen. However, the mixing temperature and duration can cause rubber particles to depolymerize and subsequently cause loss of viscosity. Crumb rubber modification also improves the properties of bitumen by increasing the storage and loss modulus and enhancing the high and low temperature susceptibility. The effect of crumb rubber to aging properties of CRMB is also discussed. Finally several techniques of chemical modification to terminal blends of CRMB and the subsequent improvement to the settling property of CRMB are explained.

Applying modified waste rubber particle to surface mortar can give full play of the unique characteristics to utilize the waste and decrease environmental pollution. In order to study the application performance of crumb rubber mortar, five different mortar proportions are selected to determine the compressive strength, flexural strength, impact strength and thermal aging strength. The results show that rubber particles mortar possess excellent toughness, impact resistance and heat aging properties.

Taking advantage of crumb rubber from waste tires to modify bitumen is widely for the environmentally friendly and sustainable development of pavement. This study investigated the modification mechanism, rheological, and aging properties of styrene–butadiene–styrene (SBS)/desulfurized crumb rubber (DCR) composite modified bitumen (SBS/DCRMB). Morphological features and chemical characteristics were assessed by fluorescence intensity measurement and gel permeation chromatography (GPC), respectively, and results demonstrated that the DCR and SBS modifier in SBS/DCRMB had been vulcanized and formed a three-dimensional network structure. Moreover, a comparison of the GPC elution curve showed the residual bitumen hardly changed due to carbon black released from DCR of SBS/DCRMB during the aging process of SBS/DCRMB, and the polymer molecules condensed to larger units. However, the remaining bitumen in SBSMB had changed evidently and the polymer degraded to smaller molecules. Meanwhile the rheological testing results, including multiple stress creep recovery, linear amplitude sweep and bending beam rheometer, declared that the SBS/DCRMB is superior to SBSMB before and after aging.

The effects of modified natural zeolite warm mix agent (MNZWMA) and organic viscosity reducing warm mix agent (OVRWMA) on the physical properties, short term thermal oxidation aging, long term thermal oxidation aging and UV aging properties of the crumb rubber modified bitumen (CRMB) were investigated. The results showed that MNZWMA and OVRWMA could improve the high temperature stability and the low temperature crack resistance of CRMB, respectively. During the short term thermal oxidation aging, long term thermal oxidation aging and UV aging, OVRWMA increased softening point increment (SPI) and viscosity aging index (VAI) of CRMB, however, MNZWMA decreased its SPI and VAI. The analysis of FTIR spectra indicated that MNZWMA reduced the formation of carbonyl groups and sulfoxide groups, but OVRWMA accelerated the formation of carbonyl groups and sulfoxide groups to some extent during ultraviolet aging. Therefore, MNZWMA could improve the anti-aging properties, and OVRWMA was not conducive to the anti-aging properties of CRMB.

The road industry is one of the important components of the economy. Quantitative and qualitative changes in the road industry require new technological approaches to road construction. The higher the transport-operational level of roads, the less the negative consequences of motorization are manifested. The condition of highways and their compliance with the international standards largely depends on the observance of construction technologies of road pavement, and the road pavement itself should have layers of strong, frost and temperature resistant monolithic materials which provide a long period of exploitation. The paper presents the peculiarities of the application of different types of modifiers for bitumen. It discusses their advantages and disadvantages, the importance of selecting the composition of the bituminous and mineral mixture. The use of crumb rubber as a modifier allows to realize the concept of a closed resource-saving technology of construction of roads. This approach will allow, on a technologically sound basis and taking into account the real needs of road construction materials, to restore the road network.

The cementitiousness between rubber particles and cement-based material could be raised because of the surface modification of rubber, thus enhance the mechanical property of crumb rubber concrete and improve the interface effect of rubber particles. We had researched the change regulation about the ratio of bending-compressive strength of the crumb rubber concrete modified by latex, the concrete with various quantity of rubber, under the condition dosage of latex is 0.5% of cement quality. The result of experimental prove that, compressive strength, splitting tensile and flexural strength could be enhanced because of latex injecting, and the ratio of bending-compressive strength could be enhanced at the same time.

Current trends in the development of Ukrainian banks are associated with the intensification of financial globalization processes. Under the influence of the growing presence of foreign capital, Ukrainian banks have faced increased competition and an exacerbation of the problem of limited financing in the domestic market. In the open national market, banks are forced to look for competitive advantages in order to improve access to financial resources and implement effective long-term partnerships with foreign investors. The creation of quality corporate management under international standards is an important advantage for the investors. The need to increase the level of corporate management according to the best international practices determines the importance of the investigation and substantiation of the areas for improvement based on the analysis of internal factors and conditions of banking business development. Conflict of interest is a major problem of corporate management. The investment community, professional circles, as well as regulatory authorities of the countries pay great attention to the problems of organizing relations of companies and banks with shareholders and other stakeholders. There are some approaches to determining the range of stakeholders. Managers and shareholders are considered in the narrow sense. In the broad sense, the list can include all the possible stakeholders. High quality of corporate management is one of the key conditions for bank efficiency. The interests of the owners are completely consistent with the achievement of high profitability, which is the main criterion of efficiency. In turn, the requirements of creditors to the level of risk on the operations of the credit institution is largely the factor of its sustainability in the long run. The ways of solving problems of corporate governance in banks are proposed in this paper. The theoretical foundations of corporate management in banks are substantiated. The specifics of the organization of relations between the participants of corporate relations in the bank are highlighted. It is noted that many issues related to corporate management in credit institutions lie outside the legal system and are ethical rather than legal.
