The constant evolution in internet technology has made. The internet of things (IoT) to be the center of research fields in computer engineering. This review paper discusses the choice of an application layer protocol in an IoT system integration so first, the paper briefly defines the potential protocols. After that, it opens up a comparison between these protocols according to how they manage their overhead and messages which affects traffic management and thus starts the discussion. The main contribution of this work is the simplification of comparison between session layer protocols in the benefit of IoT applications exclusively. IoT system Standards and platforms are being improved constantly. IoT enables application devices to connect and coordinate their tacks, such applications like healthcare, smart home, and industrial automation. Several protocols have been discussed to provide effective communication for resource-limited devices. However, their traffic management is still a field for researches, to find the optimal protocol choice for different situations. The review collects the results of other works that experimentally compared application layer protocols in the IoT environment and presents the graphical and tabular compression. Finally, the conclusion summarize the choice in different applications.

In this digital age, human dependency on technology in various fields has been increasing tremendously. Torrential amounts of different electronic products are being manufactured daily for everyday use. With this advancement in the world of Internet technology, cybersecurity of software and hardware systems are now prerequisites for major business’ operations. Every technology on the market has multiple vulnerabilities that are exploited by hackers and cyber-criminals daily to manipulate data sometimes for malicious purposes. In any system, the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is a fundamental component for ensuring the security of devices from digital attacks. Recognition of new developing digital threats is getting harder for existing IDS. Furthermore, advanced frameworks are required for IDS to function both efficiently and effectively. The commonly observed cyber-attacks in the business domain include minor attacks used for stealing private data. This article presents a deep learning methodology for detecting cyber-attacks on the Internet of Things using a Long Short Term Networks classifier. Our extensive experimental testing show an Accuracy of 99.09%, F1-score of 99.46%, and Recall of 99.51%, respectively. A detailed metric representing our results in tabular form was used to compare how our model was better than other state-of-the-art models in detecting cyber-attacks with proficiency.

With a growing need to reform Chinese higher engineering education, University of Michigan—Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (JI) initiated multinational corporation-sponsored industrial-strength Capstone Design Projects (CDP) in 2011. Since 2011, JI has developed 96 corporate-sponsored CDPs since its inception, which include multinational corporation sponsors such as Covidien, Dover, GE, HP, Intel, NI, Philips, and Siemens. Of these projects, healthcare accounts for 27%, energy 24%, internet technology (IT) 22%, electronics 16%, and other industries 11%. This portfolio reflects the trends and needs in the industry, which provides opportunities for engineering students to develop their careers. An accumulated 480 JI students have been teamed up based on their individual backgrounds, specifically electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, and biomedical engineering. The corporate-sponsored rate grew from 0% in 2010 to 86% in 2014.

The history of the development of the Internet of Things (IoT) covers the last twenty years. Despite the short of time, the concept and implementation of the Internet of Things have widely spread all over the world. The impetus of the dissemination of the concept has exponential speed. In the near future, billions of smart sensors and devices will interact with one another without human intervention. The early impact of the Internet of Things has been observed and discussed in the areas of technology, transportation, production, and marketing. The prospective effect of the Internet of Things on the finance sector has been discussed recently. In this study, the development of the concept of the Internet of Things and it is effect on the finance sector and specifically the insurance and banking sectors and future expectations have been evaluated.

The next big wave, the Internet of Things or Internet of Everything (IoT/IoE) is on the way. What does that mean for semiconductor packaging, assembly and test? What are the requirements? What solutions can be provided? The market will be wide and fragmented. Many different solutions will be needed. Flexibility and the capability to customize system solutions will be crucial. The fact is, it will be all about smart system integration, integration of sensors, MEMS, connectivity and memory: more functionality on less space in small and thin System-in-Package (SiP) and Package-on-Package (PoP). There will not be one specific packaging technology for IoT/IoE, and no new “IoT/IoE Packaging Technology”. The toolbox is here already, and further features required to meet the needs of future IoT/IoE modules are under development. That is actually good news, as the cost pressure will be high, and materialization of existing manufacturing environment, of mature and yielding packaging technologies will be a key for success.

In view of the problems and difficulties in the information system integration of the small and medium-sized super-hard cutting tools enterprises, the characteristics of the design and manufacture of the CBN turning tool were analyzed. The demand of the enterprises for the 3C integrated system of CBN turning tool was presented. The 3-layer architecture of the 3C integrated system of CBN turning tool was proposed, which included the data layer, the application layer and the user layer. The object-oriented method was adopted to design the system and the class model of the system was constructed. Based on these, the 3C integrated system of CBN turning tool for small and medium-sized enterprises was developed. The key technologies of the system were put forward. The system had been applied to the enterprise and run well.
