An anonymously completed, closed-ended questionnaire with an importance scale was sent to physicians to assess which qualities were important in their selection of a surgeon. Differences in proportions of rankings that were designated “extremely important” were assessed by binomial logistic regression was used. Null hypotheses were rejected if P < 0.05. Forty-two of 61 questionnaires were returned for analysis. Differences between dependability and other characteristics were statistically significant (G = 35.62, P = 0.001). The only characteristics that were statistically significantly less likely to receive a ranking of “extremely important” were facility appearance, subspecialty fellowship, and graduation from a good residency. All other differences could have been explained by chance ( P > 0.05). Surgeons’ character, equipment, and staffing of the facility were ranked extremely important, whereas training of the surgeon or the appearance of the facility was not.

Abstract The Diverse Elders Coalition, in partnership with its six member organizations and the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging, completed a national survey of 840 family and friend caregivers from diverse racial, ethnic, and sexual orientation communities to understand their unique caregiving issues and challenges. Data from a subsample of 369 caregivers identifying as Hispanic/Latino, Asian, Southeast Asian or multiple ethnicities were analyzed to understand similarities and differences between caregivers born in the US and who immigrated to the US. The Stress Process Conceptual Model guided selection of characteristics used for comparative analysis. Results of logistic regression revealed that caregivers born in the US were younger (B=-.08, p<.001), had higher educational degrees (B=.42, p<.001), and higher incomes (B=.34, p=.002). They assisted care receivers with more health-related tasks (B=.27, p=.013), but fewer culture-related tasks (B=-.51, p=.002); reported higher levels of strain in their relationship with care receivers (B=.66, p=.038); and were less satisfied with the quality of care receivers’ healthcare (B=-.62, p=.042). In terms of reasons for being a caregiver, there were no significant differences in cultural commitment to caring for older family members, however those born in the US were more likely to report providing care because it was more convenient for them than for other family and friends (B=.99, p=.002). Understanding the needs of diverse caregivers has implications for healthcare and service providers, such as providing training on diverse needs. Additionally, the differences between US born and immigrant caregivers highlights implications on the dynamic between caregivers and their care receiver.

The purpose of researches is to increase wool efficiency and quality of wool Akzhaiksky meat-wool breed of sheep due to purposeful use of new lines. Material for researches served Akzhaiksky meat-wool breed ewe of the BAK-4087 and ZKATU-7082 line. Both lines were created by method of difficult uniform and diverse selection of initial material that has allowed to receive animals of desirable type from which animals of the second generation from them by homogeneous and heterogeneous selection have been received selection for cultivation «in itself» has been made. Lines were created by taking into account wool efficiency and its quality indicators. In article comparative indicators of wool efficiency are considered it is bright the compared lines at 8-month age. By wool cutting in the original and free wool the ZKATU-7082 lines ewes are surpassed the contemporaries from the BAK-4087 line on 0.17 and 0.13 kg, respectively. From ewes BAK-4087 lines 64.0% of wool of the 56th quality and 16.0% – the 58th quality are received, and from it is bright the ZKATU-7082 lines 66.0% of wool of the 58th quality and 30.0% of wool – the 56th quality are received. Other wool by quality in the compared groups was the 50th quality. For indicators of natural and true length of wool and fortress of wool fibers the BAK-4087 lines authentically ewes are surpassed by ewes ZKATU-7082 lines. The obtained data can be the basis for improvement of wool efficiency of Akzhaiksky meat-wool breed sheep.

Lecturers are resources owned by the University. One of the efforts to improve the quality of lecturers is by giving appreciation in the form of rewards or awards to the best lecturers or lecturers who excel. However, to be able to provide these rewards, of course there are several assessments that will be given to lecturers. The problem is how to give the assessment so that the lecturer is declared worthy to receive a reward or award. There is a decision support system or abbreviated as DSS where in the system there are several methods that can be used to provide an assessment of course with the determined assessment criteria. In this research, the method used is the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) and Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) with several criteria into consideration. The results showed that alternative A3 and A2 were selected as outstanding young lecturers.

Performance in a volleyball match is the result of a dynamic and interactive process between two teams. The current study aimed to investigate the influence of the quality of opposition on skill performance indicators. A total of 550 teams’ performances (N = 550) from 275 sets of men’s European Championship 2019 was recorded and the effectiveness of 12 parameters from 5 basic volleyball skills was analyzed. A two-step cluster analysis was performed to divide 24 teams into three quality groups (upper, middle, lower) and 6 types of match status were created according to the quality of the opponents. Binomial logistic regression showed that for each type of match, the key performance factors that discriminate win and loss are differentiated, while the efficacy of attack win is associated with the success almost with all contexts studied. Other significant parameters were serve aces for matches between upper-quality teams, opponent’s errors for matches between teams of different quality and avoidance of blocked attacks for balanced matches. The findings emphasize the need for coaches to plan strategies that allow players with special serving abilities to risk for an ace, to enhance the side-out skills of their team and to work detailed on attack coverage systems.

Generally, every company must have an assessment of the supplier of materials in order to maintain the quality of their production. When a supplier gets a good rating, the company usually gives awards such as incentives to the supplier in the hope of increasing motivation, professionalism and good relations with the company. The determination of incentives is currently only based on analysis of existing data records manually, which may lead to errors. From previous observations, a decision support system was created in the optimization of incentives. This study aims to optimize the results of decisions in providing incentives to suppliers. The method used is Technique for Others Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). This method can determine which suppliers are entitled to incentives. The data that is processed in this research comes from PT. Prima Beton Cakrawala. Price, Quality, Delivery, Service and Offer are the assessment criteria for determining incentive recipients. The results of the TOPSIS calculation process can find a more accurate alternative choice decision, because the alternative assessment is in accordance with the specified criteria. Based on the value of the criteria weight for the selection of incentive recipients for each alternative. The results of this study recommend A3 suppliers with a preference value of 0.646 as raw material suppliers who are entitled to receive incentives. Comparisons made between manual calculations and the system built get almost the same results. So that the level of accuracy is 95% accurate enough, so that it can produce factual decision data in order to assist companies in determining incentive recipients so as to increase the motivation of suppliers in providing services. So that it is expected that the leadership can use it as a reference for optimizing decisions on providing incentives.

The National Commission on the Cost of Medical Care states that there should be an accelenation in the supply of family practice physicians as a cost-saving measure. According to the Commission, such an acceleration could be expected to contribute to the moderation of rising medical costs in two ways: (1) through the substitution of physicians who are trained in the delivery of primary care for more specialized physicians who are likely to provide more sophisticated and more expensive primary medical services and (2) through lower training costs for a given supply of physician manpower or, conversely, a larger supply for the same level of costs. In recommending only family practice, the Commission acknowledges that primary care physicians include physicians in general/family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, and obstetnics-gynecology. The Commission alleges, however, that a progressively larger proportion of physicians certified in pediatrics and internal medicine are entering subspecialty fields and are therefore trained to function as secondary and tertiary care rather than as primary care physicians The American Academy of Pediatrics submits that the statements, rationale, and recommendations ions are not substantiated by available data. A survey1 of all pediatricians in the United States conducted by the Harvard School of Public Health in 1969 reported that four out of five pediatric practitioners reported no subspecialization practice. Only 3% of the practitioners restricted their practice to a subspecialty, while 17% combined comprehensive (general) pediatric practice with a subspecialty interest. These proportions varied only slightly by region and size of community; there were somewhat more pediatrcians providing comprehensive (general) child health care in smaller communities and somewhat fewer in the Western region.
