The correct professional orientation is related to the problems of the society, which are quite difficult to solve. These problems include high rate of unemployment, low labor productivity, career advancement opportunities, etc. Therefore, the purpose of the present paper is to study the factors which affect the professional orientation of young people in Georgia and to determine how much they affect the decision about professional orientation. Graduate students of Georgian secondary schools participated in the present research. With the help of a special questionnaire, the schoolchildren have expressed their opinions and assessments regarding the factors affecting their professional choices. Research showed that professional orientation of the most people participating in the research is affected by the following factors: the prestige of a profession, future employment opportunities, the estimated level of income by profession, personal interests and direct relation of family members with the profession. The choice of profession by young people is largely influenced by their parents, while schools fail to provide proper assistance regarding professional orientation. For ensuring representativeness of the research results, the research limitations were identified. In particular, public and private, regional and central secondary education institutions of Georgia involved in the research were previously determined by territorial and ownership forms. The research was conducted based on a structured survey format through preliminary developed questionnaires. The questionnaire was completely filled out by 712 respondents from all around Georgia. In our opinion, taking the current limitations into consideration ensures representativeness of the research results. Identification of the factors affecting professional orientation in Georgia provides possibility to consider these factors while planning the activities of proper professional orientation.

This research investigates the sociological, psychological, and physiological factors known to affect women’s career advancement opportunities. It examines how awareness and knowledge shared through the #MeToo (hashtag Me Too) movement influenced gender specific perceptions about the factors affecting women’s workplace opportunities. Finally, it recommends measures to alter the divergent gender perceptions that remain an obstacle to gender equality in the workplace. The researcher conducted a mixed method experimental study by comparing pre- and post-treatment interview and survey data to determine how much awareness and knowledge shared through the #MeToo mass media events impacted gender specific perceptions of women’s equality struggles in the workplace. With outcomes from three independent qualitative and quantitative investigations aligning, the researcher concluded the overall statistical results demonstrate a strong impact on men’s and women’s perceptions and a largely reduced gender perception gap following the #MeToo media events.

Цель статьи - аргументировать тенденции и возможные направления развития придорожного сервиса как элемента проводимой в России политики пространственного развития, а также факторы, влияющие на его размещение. Проанализированы основные аспекты современного состояния придорожного сервиса как части сферы услуг, а также особенности территориальной организации придорожного сервиса. Аргументировано, что он находится на стыке таких важных и взаимосвязанных видов деятельности как транспорт, торговля, туризм, бытовое и техническое обслуживание, общественное питание. Новизной проведенного исследования можно считать обобщение опыта развития придорожного сектора в России и зарубежных странах, позволившее выявить основные факторы, оказывающие влияние на уровень его развития, а также принципы, которыми необходимо руководствоваться при его размещении. В статье представлены обоснованные показатели, позволяющие оценить существующий и возможный потенциал развития придорожного сервиса на конкретной территории. The purpose of the article is to analyze the trends and possible directions for the development of roadside service as an element of Russia's spatial development policy, as well as factors affecting its placement. The authors investigate the main aspects of the modern state of the roadside service as part of the service sector, as well as the features of the territorial organization of the roadside service. It is argued that it is at the junction of such important and interconnected activities as transport, trade, tourism, household and technical services, public food. The novelty of the study can be considered a generalization of the experience of the development of the roadside sector in Russia and foreign countries, which made it possible to identify the main factors that affect its level of development, as well as the principles that should be guided when placing it. The article presents reasonable indicators that allow you to assess the existing and possible potential for the development of roadside service in a specific territory.

The aim of this study is to identify the determinants of turnover intention among bank employees in Kuala Lumpur. Specifically, the objective of this study is to assess the relationships between employee relations, working environment and conditions, compensation and benefit packages, career advancement opportunities and turnover intention. A total of 150 questionnaires were distributed among bank employees in the Masjid Jamek area and the researchers successfully collected 120 questionnaires from the respective respondents. All the data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) 23.0 version. Two types of data analysis were used - descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Descriptive analysis was used to study the respondent demographic information such as age, gender, education level, length of services, and monthly income level. Meanwhile, the inferential analysis was used to examine the relationships between employee relations, working environment and conditions, compensation and benefit packages, career advancement opportunities and turnover intention. The results show that the relationship between turnover intention and employee relations is weak. However, working environment and conditions, compensation and benefit packages, and career advancement opportunities are moderately correlated to turnover intention among bank employees. Based on a multiple regression analysis, working environment and conditions, and compensation and benefit packages have negative and significant relationship with turnover intention.

Inequalities between women and men continue in global labor markets. Although the inclusion of women as labor force increases day by day, their representation in senior management levels remains insufficient. Women continue to face several barriers preventing them from attaining equal access, participation, and progress in the business environment. Within this chapter, the authors discuss two types of career barriers called “glass ceiling” and “glass cliff,” which women encounter frequently in their work life. The purpose of this chapter is to provide a general perspective on barriers of women's career advancement and to examine glass ceiling and glass cliff the in its background, its causes, and its consequences. The chapter also aims to analyze studies which criticize the concept of glass ceiling. The results of the chapter are expected to be a source for researchers in the areas of women's career barriers, women's leadership, and gender inequality.

Brands play a very important role in consumer markets. They bridge a relationship between the consumers and the company. Brand loyalty is a consumer’s preference to purchase a particular product or service at first or repeatedly in a competitive market. The general purpose of this study is to investigate the factors leading to brand loyalty in service sector. Specifically, we are concerned to observe the factors affecting brand loyalty in telecommunication sector of Pakistan. The sample size of 150 is taken through convenient sampling method. The survey method is used to collect the data from the respondents through self-administered questionnaire. The regression analysis approved the significant positive relationship of the proposed factors with brand loyalty.
