For many, college is a period of transition, marked with acute stress, threats to success, and decreases in self-efficacy. For certain groups of students, the risk of these poor outcomes is elevated. In this study, 348 students from a large residential university in the western United States were surveyed to understand the role of psychological flexibility and inflexibility on self-efficacy and the potential moderating impact of year in college and underrepresented racial minority (URM) status. Results indicated that students who are psychologically flexible reported greater college self-efficacy, whereas students who are psychologically inflexible reported lower college self-efficacy. The impact of psychological inflexibility on self-efficacy was moderated by URM status and year in school; psychological inflexibility had a stronger impact on URM students’ self-efficacy than nonminority students, and psychological inflexibility had a greater effect on college students starting college as opposed to students who had been enrolled for multiple years.

The purpose of this paper was to examine the impact of emotional labor on organizational commitment with mediatory role of self-efficacy. Data were collected from 120 employees working in different Call Centers across Pakistan using a questionnaire. Results indicate that emotional labor is negatively associated with organizational commitment even though the relationship is insignificant. While mediatory role of self-efficacy is established, implications are also discussed.

The current study evaluated the impact of ethical leadership on employee creativity, with the mediating role of trust in leadership, while taking creative self efficacy as the moderator between trust and creativity. The data were collected from the 126 employees working in private sector organizations from Rawalpindi Islamabad region. The findings of the study indicated that ethical leadership is positively and significantly associated with the employee creativity as well as trust; whereas, trust in leadership partially mediates the relationship between the two. Similarly, the results confirmed that creative self-efficacy positively moderates the relationship between trust in leadership and employee creativity. Study implications and recommendations are also discussed.

This paper examines the impact of entrepreneurial education on intention to undertake entrepreneurial activity in the future. The study is based on a sample of 208 engineering students. Specifically, we explore the contingent effect of social norms on the relationship between entrepreneurial education and intention to undertake entrepreneurial activity, as well as the role of social norms on the association between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention. We utilize a comprehensive questionnaire distributed among engineering students. Our findings indicate that entrepreneurial education is positively associated with the intention to undertake entrepreneurial activity, in addition to demonstrating a positive moderation effect role of social norms on the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention. The study provides empirical support to devise new educational initiatives that can further support students and young entrepreneurs in their current or future entrepreneurial projects

The current research is aimed at studying the relationship between trait anxiety and intolerance of uncertainty, with its both facets: the inhibitory and the prospective anxiety and to establish whether or not the general self-efficacy plays a mediating role between the trait-anxiety and intolerance of uncertainty. Results show that a partial mediation takes part when general self-efficacy mediates the relationship between the intolerance of uncertainty, inhibitory anxiety, but a limited mediation when general selfefficacy interferes in the relationship between the trait-anxiety and intolerance of uncertainty, perspective anxiety. The main benefit of this paper is to demystify the impact of self-efficacy especially in unexpected, unknown situations, such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

The aim of the study was to find out the impact of Achievement motivation, self efficacy on employee performance moderated by organizational culture, and mediated by learning. Data was collected from 150 employees. Results indicated that Achievement motivation and self-efficacy has positive and significant effect on employee performance. Results also indicated that learning has a partially mediation effect between achievement motivation, self- efficacy and employee performance .The organizational culture also moderated the relationship between achievement motivation, self-efficacy and learning. Hence, the combined effect of achievement motivation, self-efficacy and organizational culture enhanced the learning of employees, which in return increased the effectiveness of their performance.

Organizational development is the key to success depending highly on the behaviors of individuals working within. This study has tested the impact of two types of proactive behaviors i.e., proactive problem solving (PPS) and proactive idea implementation (PII) on organizational development. The self-efficacy of employees is taken as a moderator on the direct relationship of PPS and PII with organizational development (OD). Data is collected from managerial employees of manufacturing organizations in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and KPK region in Pakistan, through self-administered survey questionnaires. Results show that PPS and PII have a positive significant relationship with organizational development. Self-efficacy strongly moderates the direct relationships of PPS and PII with OD in such a way that the higher the levels of self-efficacy, the stronger will be the relationship of PII and PPS with OD. This research provides useful insights into the organizational development literature highlighting the importance of proactivity and self-efficacy resources of employees.

This study is design to examine the impact of behavioural biases on perceived financial satisfaction and determined the role of Speculative Risk between these variables. Using structured questionnaire study collect the data from respondents and then analyzed the same by using Reliability Analysis, Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of SPSS and AMOS. The result of study disclosed that  Financial self-efficacy and Reliance on expert has significant effect on financial satisfaction, while financial socialization has no significant effect on financial satisfaction. Beside this, study revealed that Speculative risk partially mediate the relationship of financial self-efficacy and reliance on experts with financial satisfaction. Beside this , moderating role of speculative risk was observed between IV’s and DV’s .Study revealed that speculative risk significantly moderates the relationship of financial socialization and Financial satisfaction. This study is important for financial managers, policy makers and individual investors.

Studies on creativity have identified critical individual and contextual variables that contribute to individuals’ creative performance. Ceative self-efficacy has also served as a critical mediating mechanism linking a variety of individual and contexual factors to people’s creative performance. However, the factors influence the relationship between creative self-efficacy and creativity have not yet been systematically investigated. In this study, the author explores potential processes that motivation moderate the relationship between creative self-efficacy and university students creativity under the effects of three dominant predictors like openness to experience, learning goal orientation and team learning behavior.

Although subjective well-being is considered important for nurses, the relationship between hope, self-efficacy, and subjective well-being among nurses has rarely been assessed. This study purposes to explore the relationships between hope, self-efficacy, and subjective well-being. The analysis relies on data from 1757 female nurses in 3 hospitals in China. Nurses completed a demographic form, General Self-efficacy Scale, Hope Scale, General Well-Being Schedule. A mediate model of the hypothesized relationships between the constructs was tested. Significant direct relationships of hope, self-efficacy, and subjective well-being were displayed. Mediation analyses reveal that the impact of self-efficacy on subjective well-being is partially mediated by two components of hope, agency and pathways. Hope was shown to be a key mediator for the relationships between self-efficacy and subjective well-being. These findings advance current understandings on the hopeful thinking in nurses.

Although some previous studies have examined the impact of transformational leadership on safety behavior, those works have paid relatively less attention to the intermediating role of employees’ job strain in the link as well as contingent variables that moderate the relationship. Considering that not only job strain substantially affects employees’ perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors in an organization, but also there are some contextual factors that moderate the relationships, we investigated intermediating mechanisms (i.e., mediator and moderator) in the relationship between transformational leadership and safety behavior. Relying on the context-attitude-behavior framework, we conducted a structural equation modeling analysis with a moderated mediation model. Specifically, we hypothesized that the level of an employee’s job strain would mediate the transformational leadership–safety behavior link. We also hypothesized that an employee’s self-efficacy regarding safety would moderate the association between job strain and safety behavior. Using survey data from 997 South Korean employees, we found that all of our hypotheses were supported. The findings suggest that the level of an employee’s job strain mediates and elaborately explains the transformational leadership–safety behavior link. Moreover, an employee’s self-efficacy regarding safety is a buffering factor which decreases the harmful effects of job strain on safety behavior.
