AbstractTemporal satellite networks can accurately describe the dynamic process of satellite networks by considering the interaction relationship and interaction sequence between satellite nodes. In addition, the measurement of node importance in satellite networks plays a crucial role in understanding the structure and function of the network. The classical supra-adjacency matrix (SAM) temporal model identifies the key nodes in the temporal network to some extent, which ignores the differences of inter-layer connectivity relationships leading to the inability to reflect the dynamic variations of satellite nodes. Therefore, the evaluation method based on time slot correlation is proposed to measure the importance of satellite nodes in this paper. Firstly, the correlation coefficient of time slot nodes is defined to measure the coupling relationship of adjacent time slots. Secondly, the dynamic supra-adjacency matrix (DSAM) temporal network model is proposed considering the correlation between adjacent time slots and the characteristics of link time. Finally, the node importance ranking results in each time slot and a global perspective are obtained by utilizing the eigenvector centrality. Experimental simulations of the Iridium and Orbcomm constellations demonstrate that the DSAM method has a relatively accurate recognition rate and high stability.

Finally, the node importance ranking results in each time slot and a global perspective are obtained by utilizing the eigenvector centrality. Through experimental simulations of the Iridium and Orbcomm constellations, it is demonstrated that the DSAM method has a more accurate recognition rate and is more stable than the SAM method.

in order to improve the efficiency and validity of node importance evaluation, a new evaluation method for node importance in complex networks was proposed based on node approach degree and node correlation degree. The basic idea of the method is that the larger the approach degree of a node is, the closer to center of a complex network the node is and the more important it is; the bigger the correlation degree of a node is, the more important the node is. An evaluation algorithm corresponding to the method was designed for the warship fleet cooperation anti-missile network. Finally, the validity of the proposed method was verified by simulation experiments.

The advancement in digital image analysis methods has led to the development of various techniques, i.e., quantification of ballast gravel abrasion. In this study, the recognition rate of gravel aggregates has been significantly increased by improving the image analysis methods. The correlation between the track quality index (TQI), which is the standard deviation of vertical track irregularity and represents the condition of a high-speed railway, and the number of maintenance works was analyzed by performing an image analysis on the samples collected from various locations of a high-speed railway. The results revealed that roundness has the highest correlation with the TQI, whereas sphericity has the highest correlation with the number of maintenance works. The ballast replacement would be performed to improve maintenance efficiency if the abrasion of the ballast aggregates becomes approximately 10%.

Evaluation and improvement of resilience in ecoindustrial parks have been the pressing issues to be addressed in the study of safety. In this paper, eco-industrial systems are extracted as symbiosis networks by using social network analysis first. We then construct a novel cascading failure model and propose an evaluation method of node importance according to the features of symbiosis networks of eco-industrial parks. Based on the cascading model, an effective new method, that is, the critical threshold, is put forward to quantitatively assess the resilience of symbiosis networks of eco-industrial parks. Some theoretical analysis is furthermore provided to the critical threshold. Finally, we take Jinjie eco-industrial system in Shanxi Province of China as a case to investigate its resilience. The key potential nodes are identified by using our model. We also find the respective relation among the resilience of symbiosis networks and the parameters in our cascading model. Theoretical analysis results and numerical simulations both show the optimal value of the tunable load parameter with which the strongest resilience level against cascading failures can be attained in symbiosis networks of eco-industrial parks.

The evaluation of node importance has great significance to complex network, so it is important to seek and protect important nodes to ensure the security and stability of the entire network. At present, most evaluation algorithms of node importance adopt the single-index methods, which are incomplete and limited, and cannot fully reflect the complex situation of network. In this paper, after synthesizing multi-index factors of node importance, including eigenvector centrality, betweenness centrality, closeness centrality, degree centrality, mutual-information, etc., the authors are proposing a new multi-index evaluation algorithm of identifying important nodes in complex networks based on linear discriminant analysis (LDA). In order to verify the validity of this algorithm, a series of simulation experiments have been done. Through comprehensive analysis, the simulation results show that the new algorithm is more rational, effective, integral and accurate.

The analysis of influencing factors of logical thinking ability in English writing is the key effective factor of evaluating logical thinking ability in English writing. In order to accurately evaluate logical thinking ability in English writing, this paper studies the evaluation method of logical thinking ability in English writing from the perspective of culture and function. This paper analyzes the relationship between the influencing factors of logical thinking ability in English writing. The factors of text structure and language expression reflect the culture and function of logical thinking ability in English writing, respectively, which have a direct impact on logical thinking ability in English writing. From these two aspects, 15 evaluation indexes are selected to construct the evaluation system of logical thinking ability in English writing. Considering the significant fuzziness of logical thinking ability in English writing from the perspective of culture and function, the comprehensive evaluation method of fuzzy mathematics is used for the process, the evaluation criteria are determined, the evaluation matrix is constructed, and the membership function is calculated, to complete the comprehensive evaluation of fuzzy mathematics based on the membership function and weight matrix. The experimental results show that this method can accurately evaluate the logical thinking ability of English writing and can be effectively used in the area of research.

DNS plays an important role on the Internet. The addressing of most applications depends on the proper operation of DNS. The root servers and the top-level domain servers are relied upon by many domains on the Internet, and their security affects the whole Internet. As a result, more attention has been paid to the security of servers at these two levels. However, the security of second-level domains and their servers also needs to be brought to the forefront. This paper focuses on showing the complex resolving dependencies and identifying influential name servers for second-level domains. We start by detecting domain name resolution paths and building up a name dependency graph. Then we construct domain name resolution networks of different numbers and sizes, which are connected by a certain number of domain name resolution graphs. On this basis, the network is analyzed from the perspective of complex network analysis, and a multi-indicators node importance evaluation method based on partial order is proposed to identify the influential name servers of the network. Once these name servers are not properly configured and fail or are compromised by DDoS attacks, it will cause resolution failure for a wide range of domain names.

Vital node, which has some special functions, plays an important role compared to other nodes in complex networks. Recently, the discovery of vital nodes in complex networks has captured increasing attention due to their important theoretical significance and great practicability. By defining the confidence of the node and the inter-node attraction, the significance of the node is measured by the product of the confidence of the node and the aggregation of attractions of the node on other nodes in the network. The experimental results illustrate that the proposed method has higher precision and performs well on various networks with different structures.
