There occurs heat and mass transfer through cloth in the very small space from skin to the outside of cloth due to the release of heat and sweat evaporation from human body. The new simultaneous 2-D measurement technique of temperature and concentration distributions that combines infrared absorbing method (IR) with holographic interferometry (HI) was applied to this space. Cotton (porosity Φ=0.586, thickness t=324μm) and nylon (Φ=0.578, t=347μm) were used for the typical hydrophilic and hydrophobic clothes, respectively. N-propanol was used for liquid. The distance from liquid surface to cloth was 5mm. Liquid temperature was 40°C. The superimposed images of HI and IR show clearly that more vapor passes through cloth in the case of cotton than in the case of nylon. This fact demonstrates that this new technique is very useful for measuring the passing behaviors of vapor through cloth. We appreciate that this research was partially supported by funds of Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research in Japan.

The article concerns the problem of a lack of both academic tools as well as a catalogue of basic epistemological objectives that could serve oral history in Poland. It has to be stated, however, that there are already many institutions, conferences and journals, that focus on the issue of oral history. The author proposes some solutions that could improve this methodological gap, based on her own experience in oral history, such as introducing a research diary as a scientific research tool.

iSybislaw is a Bibliographic Database for students, post-graduate students and researchersIn this paper the iSybislaw bibliographic database of World Slavic Linguistics publications is presented. The author demonstrates its vast potential as a research tool and citation source, concentrating on the possibilities of using all iSybislaw functions and options in university teaching and scientific research. The author points out that the database can be used not only by students and scientists of Slavic, Polish and Russian philology, but also, even if to a lesser extent, for philologies and linguistics of all languages. iSybislaw sprzymierzeńcem studentów, doktorantów oraz pracowników naukowychW pracy prezentowana jest bibliograficzna baza danych publikacji z zakresu światowego językoznawstwa slawistycznego.

Some notable scientists have adopted a physics theory developed by Professor Stephen Hawking to prove that something or even a universe might arise out of nothing and denied the existence of God. A Christian physician can never be convinced by such theories which are being scientifically argued against by other scientific research and theories. In this viewpoint, the author; both a physician and a scientist provides a medical argument against atheism and suggests that the cross was in the mind of God while man was being created and was revealed in the human body as a divine fingerprint.

ABSTRACT This paper is focused on the meteorite collection that belonged to the Italian naturalist and geologist Teodoro Monticelli (1759–1845). Today he is mainly remembered as both the author of books and essays on the volcanic activity of Mount Vesuvius and as the owner of a mineralogical cabinet of more than 16,000 specimens. Monticelli’s scientific activity as a meteorite collector is, however, largely forgotten. This contribution presents for the first time the meteorite collection that belonged to Teodoro Monticelli and is now preserved at the Royal Mineralogical Museum of Naples. We reconstruct the history of the collection and argue that it represents an exceptional example of historical heritage. We also highlight the potential of the collection as a scientific research tool.

This article is in view of the special trainer which depends on the technology of Scrum rugby movement. It makes training quantified and combines training and monitoring. In close coordination with the coaches, it successfully develops rugby Scrum special strength training of test equipment by combing movement biology mechanics, mechanical design and manufacturing, computer technology, human body engineering and other professional technology. By Real-time observation of athletes technical action of various forces when doing Scrum, it can achieve real-time monitoring, diagnosis, and correction of Scrum training action, in order to achieve Scrum techniques of quantitative and refined training, and to improve football Scrum a better effect. The developed Scrum special training can be used not only in training and scientific research, but can be used in normal training and rehabilitation training.

In the article on the basis of the analysis of scientific positions of scientists, instructions of the criminal procedural legislation, judicial practice the directions of increase of efficiency of inspection in criminal pre-trial proceedings are defined. In practice, there are situations when it is necessary as soon as possible after the discovery of information about a criminal offense to inspect things, objects or documents. Therefore, the position on the need to expand the types of inspections that can be carried out before entering information into the Unified Register of pre-trial investigations is substantiated. In addition to inspecting the scene, the author proposes to include an inspection of things and documents and an examination of the human body (examination). The article emphasizes the connection between the effectiveness of the review in criminal pre-trial proceedings and the combination of specialization and universality of the subject of the review. The use of the subject's specialization during the review will provide an opportunity to conduct it more efficiently, with the least amount of time, without losing all possible evidence. Emphasis is placed on the need to expand emergency access to a home or other property for inspection. It is concluded that it is inadmissible to record verbal information in the inspection report. The author emphasizes that only the explanations of the participants regarding the inspection should be recorded in the inspection protocol, and not the circumstances of the offense. It is stated that there is a dependence of the effectiveness of the review in criminal pre-trial proceedings on the competence of the entity conducting it. When conducting scientific research on ways to increase the effectiveness of the review in the criminal process, in our opinion, we should emphasize the personal qualities of those who carry it out, and the direct dependence of efficiency on their skills, abilities, professional skills. In the future, the author proposes to increase the effectiveness of the review to explore the simplification of the procedure for recording the review, as well as the issue of reducing the number of participants in the review.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), as a complex medical science which reflects philosophical principles and embodies large dialectical thought, is used to place the human body into a large system for observation. Acupuncture as a vital part of TCM, has been practiced to treat various diseases and symptoms. However, acupuncture is also facing severe challenges resulted from insufficient modern scientific research. Nowadays, the holistic effects of acupuncture can be researched by some modern approaches, such as the systems biology and fMRI technique. It is believed that having a better understand will greatly promote acupuncture research and be beneficial to scientization and modernization of acupuncture.
