First person – Stefanie Andersson and Antonia Maria Romero
ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping early-career researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Stefanie Andersson and Antonia Maria Romero are co-first authors on ‘ Genome-wide imaging screen uncovers molecular determinants of arsenite-induced protein aggregation and toxicity’, published in JCS. Stefanie is a PhD student in the lab of Markus Tamás at University of Gothenburg, Sweden, where her research interests lie in uncovering arsenic and toxicity on a cellular level. Antonia Maria is a postdoc in the lab of Markus Tamás, who investigates the molecular mechanisms involved in the response to availability of different metals.
