Objective: To develop a clinical technique for objective estimation of exact location and degree of participation of face and neck soft tissues in age-related deformations for determine effective mini-invasive treatment techniques. Methods: Ultrasound examination was performed in 2017-2019 at 63 patients with age-related face changes. Examination was done in the vertical position for determine the role, exact location and participation degree of different soft tissues of the face and neck in age-related changes. Results: Great diagnostic value of ultrasound examination of involutional changes in soft tissues of lower third of face and neck was noted to determine all causes of contour age-related deformities. These results were used to choose effective minimally invasive methods for correction. Conclusion: Ultrasound examination is a non-invasive, harmless, clinically available, inexpensive examination that allows to determine exact localization and degree of participation of different soft tissues of face and neck in age-related changes. That is very important for planning and use different minimally invasive techniques for facial and neck rejuvenation. doi: https://doi.org/10.12669/pjms.37.1.3034 How to cite this:Sharobaro V, Alimova S, Telnova A, Shamanaeva L. Objective. Role of ultrasound examination in planning surgical correction of age-related changes of the face and neck soft tissues.Methods. A prospective analysis of the study and treatment of 80 patients with involutive changes in the soft tissues of the face and neck who were carried out from 2018 to 2020 in the Mositalmed Clinic. The age of the patients ranged from 24 to 60 years. The mean age was 42 ± 6.89 years (± SE standard deviation mean). There were 67 female patients (83.7%), male patients – 13 (16.3%).Results. The diagnostic value of ultrasound examination in involutional changes in the soft tissues of the face and neck for determining the causes of contour deformities is noted.Conclusion. Ultrasound imaging in an upright position of the patient makes it possible to determine the degree of participation of each tissue in the formation of deformity, which is extremely important for planning various techniques for rejuvenating the face and neck.

Age-related changes in the face - at all times were not a desirable phenomenon in socially active and successful people. In modern society, success is primarily identified with an attractive appearance and a healthy lifestyle. Healthy lifestyle is actively promoted in mass media, this message has many followers all over the world. The most striking manifestations of age-related changes are concentrated in the lower third of the face and submental area, which is manifested in violation of the contours of the jaw line, as well as in the smoothing of the cervical - chin angle. In some genetic features, such as micrognathia, these changes lead to the visual perception of the face less young than it actually is, even without obvious manifestations in other areas of the face. We have developed and put into practice a minimally invasive method for correcting the lower third of the face and the submental area, using laser-assisted liposuction, with various degrees of age-related changes. Which allows you to effectively deal with this problem.

Age-related changes of jaws and soft tissue profile are important both for orthodontists and general dentists. Mouth profile is the area which is manipulated during dental treatment. These changes should be planned in accordance with other components of facial profile to achieve ultimate aim of structural balance, functional efficacy, and esthetic harmony. Through this paper, the authors wish to discuss age changes of the hard and soft tissues of human face which would help not only the orthodontists but also oral surgeons, prosthodontists, pedodontists, and general dentists.

At this moment differential diagnostic of the prostate cancer (PC) needs the new, more effective ways with regard of multifactor analysis. One of this factor is patient s age. Men older than 45 years old have expressed involution changes of prostate tissues. This fact must be take into account in valuation morphologic and laboratory criteria s in PC. The goal of the investigation is to take into account age-related changes of the prostate volume and laboratory criteria of blood analysis in PC. 632 patients in age from 42 to 88 years old were exanimated by trans rectal ultrasound examination (TRUS) method (volume parameters of the prostate) and by levels of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and (-2) pro-PSA in blood. The increase of patient s age correlated with increase of the density of transient, peripheral and central zones of prostate. It correlates with the probability of the frequency of PC verification. Levels of PSA and 2-pro-PSA in blood of PC patients increase during the transition from middle to elderly age in 1,4-2,8 times. Thus the information, which was obtained during the examination of volume prostate characteristics by TRUS method and laboratory diagnostic of PC, must take to account patient s age.

Various skin parameters such as the thickness of the epidermal echo, dermis and subcutaneous tissue, the surface area of individual layers, the thickness of the subepidermal layer with a low echogenic effect, the caliber of blood vessels, as well as the presence or absence of blood flow in the vessels, can be investigated with ultrasound. The aim of our investigation was to evaluate age-related changes and pathological lesions of the face skin using ultrasound examination of the different anatomical areas of the face in young and older women.
