Two types of logical consequence are compared: one, with respect to matrix and designated elements and the other with respect to ordering in a suitable algebraic structure. Particular emphasis is laid on algebraic structures in which there is no top-element relative to the ordering. The significance of this special condition is discussed. Sequent calculi for a number of such structures are developed. As a consequence it is re-established that the notion of truth as such, not to speak of tautologies, is inessential in order to define validity of an argument.

Anne Knudsen: The Century of Zoophilia Taking as her point of departure the protests against a dying child having his last wish fulfilled because his wish was to kill a bear, the author argues that animals have achieved a higher moral status than that of humans during the 20th century. The status of animals (and of “nature”) is seen as a consequence of their muteness which on the one hånd makes it impossible for animals to lie, and which on the other hånd allows humans to imagine what animals would say, if they spoke. The development toward zoophilia is explained as a a logical consequence of the cultural naturalisation of humans, and the author draws the conclusion that we may end up entirely without animals as a category. This hypothetical situation will lead to juridical as well as philosophical complications.

Catholic teens Indonesia is part of the Church in Indonesia and the Indonesian people. Indonesia consists of thousands of islands that stretched from Sabang to Merauke. This fact opens the possibility of a fairly wide occurrence of the encounter between cultures and simultaneous cross-cultural. This diversity is certainly a logical consequence to an enrichment of civilizations and diversity (plurality), although also contains elements of the loss. Plurality of Indonesian society on the one hand can make the Catholic teens swept away in the swift currents of the community to lose our identity or conflict. However Plurality can also awaken in the Catholic teen award nature between one race to the other races, between ethnic or tribal one with the other tribes, between groups with one another. In a pluralistic society such as this, the Catholic teens called to the apostolate. Through the act of self-discovery, live in love and have a sense of tolerance of differences is the real form of the apostolate.

The gadget’s software applications nowadays appear to be highly popular and its use has been elevating among gadget users. This kind of technological advance also touched the Qur’anic learning process in Indonesia. On the one hand, not only does the emergence of Qur’anic learning software stimulate children’s interest, but it also provides a lot of features that will make children quickly understand and practice the Qur’anic reciting. On the other hand, this kind of learning method can threat the value of Qur’anic orthodoxy which had been applied among traditional Muslim societies since the emergence of Islam in Indonesia. Some resources have noted that there were some sacred values and courtesies perpetuated by traditional Muslims while teaching Qur’anic reciting. This article will track the historical journey of Qur’anic learnings in Indonesia and discuss how the emergence of Qur’anic Learning software (as the logical consequence of technological improvement) can threat the existence of some ancient orthodoxies toward the Qur’an.

In this paper, we find a relationship between SVNS and neutrosophic N-structures and study it. Moreover, we apply our results to algebraic structures (hyperstructures) and prove that the results on neutrosophic N-substructure (subhyperstructure) of a given algebraic structure (hyperstructure) can be deduced from single valued neutrosophic algebraic structure (hyperstructure) and vice versa.

In recent years, fuzzy multisets have become a subject of great interest for researchers and have been widely applied to algebraic structures including groups, rings, and many other algebraic structures. In this paper, we introduce the algebraic structure of fuzzy multisets as fuzzy multi-subnear rings (multi-ideals) of near rings. In this regard, we define different operations on fuzzy multi-ideals of near rings and we generalize some results known for fuzzy ideals of near rings to fuzzy multi-ideals of near rings.

The author discusses the problem of symmetry, namely of the orientation of the logical consequence. The author shows that the problem is surprisingly entangled with the problem of “being infinite”. The author presents a model based on quantum states and shows that it features satisfy the requirements of the symmetric mode of Bi-logic, a logic introduced in the '70s by the psychoanalyst I. Matte Blanco to describe the logic of the unconscious. The author discusess symmetry, in the model, to include correlations, in order to obtain a possible approach to displacement. In this setting, the author finds a possible reading of the structural rules of sequent calculus, whose role in computation, on one side, and in the representation of human reasoning, on the other, has been debated for a long time.

In [Przytyski and Traczyk, Invariants of links of Conway type, Kobe J. Math. 4 (1989) 115–139], Przytyski and Traczyk introduced an algebraic structure, called a Conway algebra, and constructed an invariant of oriented links, which is a generalization of the Homflypt polynomial invariant. On the other hand, in [Kauffman and Lambropoulou, New invariants of links and their state sum models, arXiv:1703.03655v2 [math.GT] 15 Mar 2017], Kauffman and Lambropoulou introduced new 4-variable invariants of oriented links, which are obtained by two computational steps: in the first step, we apply a skein relation on every mixed crossing to produce unions of unlinked knots. In the second step, we apply another skein relation on crossings of the unions of unlinked knots, which introduces a new variable. In this paper, we will introduce a generalization of the Conway algebra [Formula: see text] with two binary operations and we construct an invariant valued in [Formula: see text] by applying those two binary operations to mixed crossings and pure crossing, respectively. The 4-variable invariant of Kauffman and Lambropoulou with a specific condition is derived from the invariant valued in [Formula: see text]. Moreover, the generalized Conway algebra gives us an invariant of oriented links, which satisfies nonlinear skein relations.

In his discerning book entitled Emerson's Angle of Vision, Sherman Paul has pointed out two fundamental ways in which Whitehead, in spite of some obvious differences, is like Emerson. Both Emerson and Whitehead, says Paul, exalted the moral, ethical, and imaginative science of the seventeenth century over the analytical rationalism of the eighteenth century, and, as a logical consequence of this emphasis, both condemned Lockean sensationalism in the same way. Following Professor Paul's suggestion, the purpose of this study is to explore in some detail the basic views of Emerson and Whitehead about religion—man's relation to Nature and God. The remarkable similarities between the views of Emerson and those of Whitehead on this subject may not indicate much, if any, indebtedness of the twentieth-century philosopher to his nineteenth-century predecessor, but if these parallels are extensive and important enough, they may well indicate that Whitehead's total achievement in the philosophy of religion is like that of Emerson—that, religiously, Whitehead may be said to be a kind of twentieth-century Emerson, in one important way, as may appear, more of a transcendentalist than Emerson. Indeed, though the obscurity of his style will prevent him from being as popular as his predecessor, Whitehead's influence as a leader in the religious revolt against the “philosophy of logical analysis” and the other philosophies that make ours an “age of analysis” may in time be as great as that of Emerson in the similar romantic-transcendentalist revolt against the analytical rationalism of the age of “Enlightenment.” More of this later, but first let us examine the evidence.

A quantum analogue of SL(2) covariance is given. The method consists of defining a bilinear form on SL q(2) co-module, then we ask the defined form to be invariant under SL q(2) co-actions. We showed that the required invariance leads to the standard algebraic structure of SL q(2) ideal. On the other hand, the geometry of the three-dimensional quantum Euclidean space has been evoked by computing the quantum Euclidean metric, the quantum Euclidean "distance" (the central element) and the relation of orthogonality of SO q(3) quantum group.
