The objective of the study is to investigate the public’s interest in the use of QRIS (Quick Response Indonesia Standard) in Oro-Oro Dowo Market, Malang – East Java. The market serves as a traditional market that has been renovated by the local government to transform the traditional system into a modern market without abandoning its traditional traits. The traditional system refers to the well-established buying and selling mechanisms, such as the products’ arrangement and layout. On the other hand, the modern system refers to improved sanitation and payment mechanisms. The payments in traditional markets have been done by using cash, but the modern market system promotes non-cash payments. In this case, the non-cash payments are implemented using a barcode scanning system provided by the Indonesian national bank under the name QRIS. Therefore, an in-depth study was essential to be carried out to understand the public’s interest in the use of QRIS or non-cash for transactions in the Oro-Oro Dowo Market. The research methods used in this study were field research and survey. For the data analysis, several theories were applied, namely Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA), Theory of Planned Behaviour, and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Then, the theories were analyzed by utilizing a software called SMART PLS to identify whether there was a correlation and effect of the use of QRIS and the buying interest or transaction rates in the Oro-Oro Dowo Market. The results of this study indicate that the three variables of reliability, construct validity, structural model, and discussions related to complexity, the usefulness of QRIS, time constraints, ease of use, and e-learning self-efficiency show appropriate consistency as most of the respondents used QRIS as an electronic transaction system that allowed them to do a faster transaction due to its efficiency and accessibility

The purpose of this study is to determine the factors influencing continuous usage intention of E-Wallet in Denpasar City with integrating the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) And Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA). This study applied a structural equation model analysis with 140 samples collected from E-Wallet users in Denpasar City. The results show that all three determinants of E-Wallet continuous usage intention, including perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and attitude. Recommendations are provided for E-Wallet providers to improve their user continuous usage intention in Denpasar City.

Purpose Crowdfunding has become one of the preferred mechanisms to raise funds by startups and small entrepreneurs. As such, this paper aims to develop an appropriate framework for Sharīʿah-compliant equity-based crowdfunding (SEC) for entrepreneurship development in Malaysia. Design/methodology/approach The research begins by analyzing the intention of 200 entrepreneurs in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor regarding the use of crowdfunding to raise capital. The analysis is based on the theory of reasoned action (TRA), which is also associated with the technology acceptance model (TAM) and is effected by using structural equation modeling (SEM). Findings The entrepreneurs agree on the ease of use of crowdfunding in raising capital, although it appeared that they are quite reluctant to share their business ideas online. Subsequently, an SEC framework is proposed, to further enhance entrepreneurship development in Malaysia particularly in meeting the need for raising funds in line with Sharīʿah (Islamic law) principles. Practical implications This paper aims to contribute more to the development of a blueprint for an SEC platform for market players and regulators in Malaysia. Social implications This paper also aims to highlight the growing needs of entrepreneurs, particularly in Malaysia to have a Sharīʿah-compliant alternative to raise funds via crowdfunding. Originality/value This paper makes two main contributions. First, it provides evidence on Malaysian entrepreneurs’ intention to use crowdfunding for fundraising through TAM and SEM analysis. Second, it proposes an SEC framework for the development of entrepreneurs in Malaysia.

The purpose of this paper is to test and compare two models, which have been popularly used for explaining how users come to accept and use a technology and their behavioral intention. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) is used to analyze customer intention to buy online. By sampling 102 online potential customers in Malaysia, findings indicate that the TRA and TAM are valid models in the prediction of the intention to buy online. Attitude, subjective norm, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use were found to be positively related to purchase intention, with attitude being the more influential predictor. TRA was found to be a better predictor in comparison to the TAM. The main conclusions of this research can be valuable to organizations that sell their products on the Internet.

Web sites are being widely deployed commercially; however, the factors that affect the customer’s perception on the quality and acceptance of Web sites are unclear. Through a literature review on information systems success, ServQual, and trust, this chapter examines and integrates four sets of factors to capture the quality of e-commerce Web sites: system quality (functionality), information quality (content), service quality, and attractor. Based on the Technology Acceptance Model in comparison with the Theory of Reasoned Action and the theory of Human-Computer Interaction/Usability, a framework is developed relating the Web quality to customers’ beliefs (perceived usefulness and ease of use of the site), attitudes (preferences for the site), and intentions (to revisit the site). A guideline for Web interface design is proposed for Web designers and managers.

The article tellsabout model of technology acceptance. A system used by the end user necessary to test whether the system effectively and efficiently can be applied by user. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) adopted the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) that is widely used to predict the acceptance and usefulness of the system information. TAM usesa comparison between the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). TAM is designed to predict the acceptance or use of information systems by usersand profit for a job. An acceptance of the theory of information systems began to be implemented in Indonesia from 2004 until today, which adopts the model proposed Davis et al in 1989. The theory was apparently accepted by the public to assess the acceptance of a system by the user based on its core construct perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) and perceived usefulness (PU). In Indonesia some researchers are implementing TAM 1989 at different locations, in various sectors as well as the time and different situations by using several different methods of analysis in each study. A significant result of variables in TAM lead this theory can be applied further in other information systems in Indonesia in addition to that already done the research for TAM is very easyto apply and be accepted by the public in a variety of sectors, namely in the public sector, business or private. This study aims to develop and implement a new Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to verify and explain users’ acceptance of SAP software. The structural equation model (SEM) technique is used with the AMOS program for the adoption process. General structural model, which includes Experience, Voluntariness, Perceived Enjoyment, Perceptions of External Control, Computer Self Efficacy, Output Quality and Job Relevance, is developed with Analytical Hierarchy Method (AHP) and Pareto Analysis by deciding variables from previously original developed models which are called TAM1, TAM2 and TAM3. New TAM is tested to a sample of 384 SAP users in a company that serves in metal production. Results illustrates that new TAM is an appropriate tool to explain and understand users’ acceptance of SAP besides of being flexible and easily implemented. SAP users’ job relevance and their perceptions of external control are the most important variables that affect perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use in the model.

Bank of SUMUT in 2016 launched the New SMS Banking service. This service is very much needed in the midst of the increasing trend of non-cash payments and the e-commerce industry. Various socializations and promotions have been carried out so that customers use the New SMS Banking service. However, the average number of transactions per customer through the New SMS Banking service tends to be stagnant and even has decreased over the last few months in 2017. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence the customer's desire to use the New SMS Banking service and formulate alternative strategies that can be implemented by Bank SUMUT to optimize this service. The type of research is correlational research. The questionnaires were distributed by purposive sampling to hundred customers from three Coordinator Branch Offices of the Bank SUMUT. The analysis showed that 41.5% of the attitude towards New SMS Banking was influenced by the Benefits of Use, Ease of Use, Risk of Use, Costs of Use, Personal Ability, Suitability of Lifestyle, and Bank Credibility. All of these variables simultaneously have a significant effect on the Attitude towards New SMS Banking. However, partially, the variable Self Ability does not have a significant partial effect on Attitudes towards New SMS Banking. Attitudes towards New SMS Banking affect customer interest in using New SMS Banking. Keywords: Technology Acceptance Model, Theory of Reasoned Action, SMS-Banking, Consumer Attitude.

Tech-friendliness in this new era is an important quotient considered and the persons’ acceptance towards the technology frequency matters a lot. But still the frequency varies from person to person, this brought in the concept of Technology Acceptance Model given by Fred Davis in 1989. The theory of TAM is based on two theories that are Theory of Reasoned Action and Theory of Planned Behavior, TAM is extended version of these two. Green Banking is a new technology introduced by the banks that focuses on the growth of Sustainable development and Banking system too. Thus, banks ask their customers to use it or practice it in their daily life transactions. But every customer has their own point of view on the usage of Green banking. Thus, the research aims to understand the customers’ perception towards the Green Banking for this TAM is used. The research states that Perceived risk is the primary factor that is followed by perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use that impacts the decision to use green banking. Thus, the behavioral intention results in actual use of green banking usage for which people are trying to accept the new technology. So, the banks have earned points for creating awareness among their customers but still they have to work hard and clarify their customers’ problems and vanish that hitch that is stopping them to use green banking easily.

With the rapid growth of information technology, electronic money has played an important and central role in the e-payment. Development of electronic money is able to create a trend less-cash society, which is a society’s behavior using non- cash transactions by utilizing the simplicity offered through electronic transactions. The purpose of this research is to determine the factors affecting the intention to use electronic money. We designed a questionnaire and used it to survey a simple random sampling of people who use of e-money in DKI Jakarta. The actual samples used for the study are 125 respondents. We analyzed the data using Structured Equation Modeling to evaluate the strength of the hypothesized effects. The result of the analysis showed that perceived ease of use has no significant effect on attitudes towards the use of e-money. Perceived ease of use has a significant effect on the perceived usefulness of e-money. Perceived usefulness has no significant effect on the intention to use e-money. Perceived usefulness has a significant effect on attitudes towards the use of e-money. Attitude has a significant effect on the intention to use e-money. Subjective norm has a significant effect on the intention to use e-money. Perceived behavioral control has no significant effect on the intention to use e-money.
