Several hamster strains are commonly used as models for cardiomyopathic phenotypes evolving toward heart failure. However, little is known about heart rate variability (HRV) in this species. Prolonged surface ECG recording, a prerequisite to HRV studies, can be obtained either by telemetry or by restraints. Here, we performed long time ECG recording using telemetry on young adult Syrian hamsters and we analyzed time series of interbeat intervals. Standard statistics showed that the mean of normal R-R intervals slightly increased with age, with standard deviation of normal R-R intervals remaining stable over time. However, time domain analysis using Poincaré plots revealed dynamic changes in the HRV. Analysis of frequency domains revealed that the ratio of spectral components (low frequency/high frequency) exhibited a maturation pattern. Thus refined analysis of HRV revealed a more complex pattern than common statistical analysis would translate. Unlike other rodents, hamsters display a great spontaneous variability of their heart rate. As the complexity canvas of HRV might be the consequence of extracardiac regulation factors, we assessed the sympathovagal balance in both time and frequency domain of heart rate. Pharmacological tests revealed that both sympathetic and vagal tones contribute to HRV in Syrian hamsters. Thus Syrian hamsters have a broad intrinsic HRV with large influences of the neurovegetative system. However, the influence of the previous beat seems to prevail over the autonomic oscillators. These animals present a high sensitivity to artificially altered cardiac regulation and might be great models for the diagnosis of early alterations in the HRV related to pathology. Therefore, Syrian hamsters represent a unique model for HRV studies.

A high sensitivity wavelength modulated reinjection off-axis integrated cavity output spectroscopy (WM-RE-OA-ICOS) experimental setup was built at a 2 μm band. On the basis of an off-axis integrated output spectroscopy (OA-ICOS), combined with an optical reinjection (RE) approach to improve signal intensity, and wavelength modulation spectroscopy (WMS) to improve the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the system, the experimental study of trace CO2 with high sensitivity was carried out using the setup. The performance was compared and evaluated, and the results show that: Compared with the OA-ICOS, the wavelength modulated reinjection OA-ICOS enhanced the signal intensity by 6.3 times, and the SNR increased 7.2 times from 179 to 1288. The Allan variance results showed that the detection limit of the system is 0.35 ppm when the average system time is 230 s. The setup was used to measure the indoor CO2 concentration for a long time (22 h), and the measured results were in line with the actual concentration change. The proposed method shows good performance enhancement for the OA-ICOS system in trace gas measurements.

In modern conditions, nanomaterials, especially nanoparticles of metals and nonmetals, are increasingly used in various industries. Due to their unique properties, in particular, the ability of nanoparticles to exhibit an enzyme-like effect they are widely used in biology, medicine, biotechnology, the food industry and agriculture. Important advantages of nanoparticles are their size, which enables specific properties to be present: their large surface area, the ability to transfer molecules and the ability to protect them from degradation and release over a long time, the location of action and the specificity of interaction with biological structures. Nanoparticles play a special role in the processes of neutralizing the active forms of oxygen. It has been established that a number of nanoparticles, in particular, Fe, Mn, Zn, Ce, Si and Se oxides, have an enzyme-like activity mimicking that of some enzymes. By changing the degree of oxidation, these particles can regenerate and continuously catalyze the reaction of neutralizing superoxide anion radicals, thus fulfilling the function of SOD and being the first link in protecting tissues and cells from oxidative stress in physiological and pathological conditions. It is proved that nanoparticles Mn3O4, Fe3O4, Co3O4, CeO2, LaCoO3 and other elements can effectively dispose of hydrogen peroxide and other peroxides, showing catalase-like and peroxidase-like activity. Nanozymes are characterized that exhibit the activity of oxidases, peroxidases and phosphatase. The prospect of using mimetics for complex in vitro analyzes of high-sensitivity biomarker disease detection is shown. The possibility of effective multi-use of nanoparticles as antioxidants is indicated. There are good prospects for further research on properties and the use of polyfunctional particles that are easily synthesized, reliable and inexpensive. More work is needed to determine the interaction of enzymomimetics with biological molecules such as proteins, carbohydrates and lipids, and also to take into account the peculiarities of their metabolism, clearance, degradation, biocompatibility and side effects, since individual nanoparticles have the potential to be deposited in separate organs.

AbstractAs a promising non-destructive testing (NDT) method, magnetic flux leakage (MFL) testing has been widely used for steel structure inspection. However, MFL testing still faces a great challenge to detect inner defects. Existing MFL course researches mainly focus on surface-breaking defects while that of inner defects is overlooked. In the paper, MFL course of inner defects is investigated by building magnetic circuit models, performing numerical simulations, and conducting MFL experiments. It is found that the near-surface wall has an enhancing effect on the MFL course due to higher permeability of steel than that of air. Further, a high-sensitivity MFL testing method consisting of Helmholtz coil magnetization and induction coil with a high permeability core is proposed to increase the detectable depth of inner defects. Experimental results show that inner defects with buried depth up to 80.0 mm can be detected, suggesting that the proposed MFL method has the potential to detect deeply-buried defects and has a promising future in the field of NDT.

During this time the management process of managing Kuliah Kerja Nyata at IAIN Salatiga still uses the conventional way by involving documents manually so it takes a long time. The purpose of this study is to build applications that are useful for handling the process of managing Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) at IAIN Salatiga starting from registering data management, KKN supervisor lecturer management, to reporting the results of KKN. The application development method used in this study is the prototype method and in testing its application using the BlackBox testing method. From the results of the Blackbox, The Testing test shows that the application of a Kuliah Kerja Nyata on the Salatiga IAIN as a whole the functionality can run well.

Benneta Motor Workshop is one of the individual businesses that was founded in 2017, engaged in the business of selling motorcycle spare parts and servicing services. In running its business, Benneta workshop still uses conventional systems so that there are several obstacles found starting from the data management process, purchase transactions, sales and service services, to the process of making reports which are still recorded manually in notes and stored in a ledger so that it is still less efficient. in terms of time and process. Conventional systems cause the data to be inaccurate and not fast in recording so it takes a long time to do it. The purpose of this research is to build an information system for selling spare parts and motorcycle service using Visual Basic.Net programming language and MySQL database. In this study, the authors used a qualitative descriptive research method. The design method used in this application uses the waterfall method and the testing method used by the author is blackbox testing. With the creation of this system, it is hoped that it will provide efficiency and work effectiveness at the Benneta Motor Workshop.
