The problems considered for the substantiation and implementation of a complex rehabilitation territory of the exclusion zone and the zone of absolute resettlement (EZZAR) are directed towards the recovery of its normal economic operation. This process of implementation uses a system of countermeasures. The issues of discussion are normative-legal base, principles, criterion, methods and scenarios of rehabilitation, concept of a full and partial rehabilitation, direction of rehab activity (both without change of the territory status and directed towards the rerun of territories under jurisdiction of local government bodies) and re-evacuation of the population and maintenance of normal conditions of its residents and habitability. State of the art natural and technogenic objects on the territory of EZZAR are discussed concerning preliminary estimations for a capability of practical implementation of different directions of rehabilitation activity on the EZZAR territory. GIS technologies are used to take into account the dynamics of a radioecological situation in natural and semi-natural ecosystems. The chief types of practical activities considered are activities on environmental protection and maintenance in a normal condition of phyto- and zoo-sanitary situation (including forestry activity, activation of landscape-recovery processes, etc.).

Remote monitoring of radiological conditions on large areas is important task during large-scale activity with radioactive contamination/materials. We present results of application of an automatic system for remote measurements of radiological conditions at territory of rehabilitation activity. The system is scanning collimated spectrometric detector, its construction and main performance characteristics are shortly described. System, including two different measurement heads was used during three years for radiological monitoring of area rehabilitation works at temporal radwaste storage area of RRC Kurchatov Institute. The results of its application for exposure dose rate monitoring at particular control points from separate strong sources located in the territory of activity are presented and special cases are studies in details. The method of EDR calculation in 3-D space around territory of activity and analysis of relative input of main gamma-sources into EDR are presented. The results of application of the system during rehabilitation activity at territory of temporal storage of radioactive wastes of RRC Kurchatov Institute have shown high efficiency of this system for such operations.

The rehabilitation activity of a foster caregiver in the process of providing a patronage service is complex. It provides the implementation of measures aimed at the child's needs, restoring or forming the functional ties of the child and his family environment with social groups. The purpose of the article is to analyze and highlight the features and characteristics of the rehabilitation activities of a foster caregiver when providing foster care services for a child. Through the analysis, synthesis and generalization of scientific research, current regulatory legal acts, the tasks of the rehabilitation activity of the foster caregiver concerning children of different groups are determined. This activity is based on the principles and ethical standards that have been presented.  Features and characteristics of foster carers' rehabilitation activities are limited in time (the service of foster care is temporary from 3 to 6 months); provided in the apartment where the foster parent family lives. It is provided by persons who do not have the professional education of a rehabilitation specialist, social worker, psychologist, etc, but only who have been selected and trained according to the program of foster carers' training. The conditions of the foster carer's rehabilitation activity success have been described. The emphasis is placed on the work peculiarities of the foster parent's work with the child's biological parents in the rehabilitation process. The areas in which the foster caregiver implements the rehabilitation activities tasks are identified, and various types of assistance and support that he can use are described. It is noted that the rehabilitation activities of the foster carer are carried out within the framework of case management technology. It describes the sequence of actions of a private educator to prepare for the transfer of the child to family forms of education.

Rehabilitation of stroke patient is a continuum, starting within days of onset and ending only when it no longer produces any positive effects. Although rehabilitation intervention is important during the acute phase of care, it is secondary to the activities involved in diagnosis and acute medical treatment. However, when a patient has a persisting major continuing impairment, such as hemiplegia with disabilities, the rehabilitation components of care quickly become the main focus of management. Stroke rehabilitation is always done by the patient, rather than to the patient .The major theme of rehabilitation is the enhancement of quality of life of stroke patient. The comprehensive rehabilitation management programme is characterized by a holistic approach and understanding the rehabilitation of the patients who sustain stroke. It is important because it involves virtually all elements of rehabilitation activity and all members of the rehabilitation team. In this article we aim to provide an overview of the area of rehabilitation in the management of ischemic stroke to improve the quality of service for the stroke patients. <p>This case report describes the immediate effects of a new rehabilitation tool on gait in a chronic stroke patient. Specifically, we measured step length symmetry and gait velocity in a 47 year-old male stroke patient who was currently receiving outpatient physical therapy. Objective gait measurements were taken using the GAITRite before, during, and after a 5 minute training session. Step length symmetry improved 26% during the first minute of training, 71% by the fifth minute of training, and 72% after a 5 minute rest period post-training. Gait velocity increased by 5.5% after 5 minutes of training. Clinical research is warranted to validate this new training tool as a useful adjunctive rehabilitation activity for improving spatial and temporal aspects of gait after stroke. <strong></strong></p>
