Research on youth delinquency has been essential for gaining a deeper understanding of the etiology of delinquent behavior. Studies considering the environmental perspective have increased during the last decade, but relatively little attention has been paid to temporal patterns and weather conditions. The present study explores the seasonality of youth delinquency as well as the association between violent and non-violent youth offenses and temperature, rainfall, level of darkness, type of day, type of place, and companionship, using data gathered by the police along with data obtained from official weather agencies. To this end, we conducted ANOVA and contingency table analyses. Seasonality was found for non-violent crimes. Companionship, semi-public, and public places were all associated with a higher likelihood of non-violent crime, while darkness and public holidays raise the odds of violent crime to happen. No direct association was found between temperature and type of crime.

Overpass is the major transportation facilities in the city, and occupies a very important position in the urban road network. Rainfall can likely cause surface water under the concave overpass. We establish a concave overpass wanter depth monitoring sandbox based on Internet of Things, and simulate the concave overpass water depth with different rainfall level. Simulation results show that the concave overpass wanter depth monitoring sandbox can control the overpass water depth with controlling drainage opening time by adjusting the threshold value, and simulate the physical environment very well. This can interchange for the city flood control and drainage design, checking provide reference and basis.

Colonization of wheat grain by Fusaria in two crop management systems varying in intensity of production technology The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of two cropping systems (intensive and integrated) on infection level of winter and spring wheat kernels by Fusarium species. Field experiments were conducted with winter wheat ‘Tonacja’ and spring wheat ‘Bombona’ during two consecutive growing seasons (2007/2008 and 2008/2009 - winter wheat, and 2008 and 2009 - spring wheat). A rainfall level in 2009 from the last decade of May to the first decade of July was 2.5-times higher than that in 2008. After the harvest, kernels were surface disinfected with 1.5% NaOCl solution for 2 min and then analysed for the infection level by different species of Fusarium. Fusaria were isolated on CZID medium and identified on the basis of macro - and micro-morphology on three media (PDA, SNA and a medium containing tannin). Our results demonstrate that the wheat grain infection by Fusarium depended mainly on a rainfall level. The intensive cropping system was more conducive to the grain infection by fusaria in comparison to the integrated one. The most frequent species were F. avenaceum in 2008, and F. graminearum, F. avenaceum and F. poae in 2009.

ABSTRAK Desa Sikakap berada di Kecamatan Sikakap, Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai yang terletak di pulau Pagai Utara dengan potensi perikanan yang sangat tinggi. Salah satu sumber penghasilan bagi masyarakat di desa tersebut adalah usaha ikan kering asin. Selama ini proses pengeraingan hanya mengandalkan energi matahari saja. Namun, karena letaknya yang dikelilingi lautan, maka iklim di wilayah ini sangat dipengaruhi oleh angin musim. Curah hujan berkisar antara 2.500 - 4.700 mm/tahun dengan jumlah hari hujan antara 132 - 267 hari hujan per-tahun. Oleh sebab itu perlu diupayakan adanya teknologi pengeringan dalam mengatasi tingkat curah hujan yang tinggi tersebut. Disamping itu, dalam pengelolaan organisasi khalayak sasaran yang bergabung dalam Kelompok Jaring Apung (KJA) Selat Sikakap dan KJA Saruso Mudo, perlu ditingkatkan kemampuan anggotanya agar dapat menjalankan usaha dengan baik. Melalui program IbM, tim pengabdian melaksanakan kegiatan (1) pembuatan alat pengering hybrid dan evaluasi kinerja alat, (2) introduksi alat ke mitra, dan (3) melakukan pelatihan tentang tata kelola organisasi, pembukuan dan pemasaran. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa mitra sangat terbantu dalam melakukan usaha produksi ikan asin dengan adanya alat pengering hybrid. Alat pengering hybrid yang diintroduksikan memiliki ukuran 220 cm x 90 cm x 100 cm (p x l x t) dengan sumber energi matahari dan gas  Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG). Disamping itu, melalui kegiatan ini terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kelompok KJA dalam hal tata kelola organisasi dan pengelolaan keuangan serta strategi pemasaran usaha. ABSTRACT Sikakap Village is in Sikakap District, Regency of Kepulauan Mentawai located on the island of North Pagai with a very high fishery potential. One of the activities undertaken by the community as a source of income in the village is salted dried fish business. However, the process to produce the salted dried fish only relies on solar energy. Due to its location which is surrounded by oceans, the climate in this region is strongly influenced by the wind season. Rainfall ranges from 2,500 - 4,700 mm / year with the number of rainy days between 132 - 267 rain days per year. Therefore, there should be a drying technology in overcoming the high rainfall level. In addition, capabilities of to govern organization of communinity who joint Kelompok Jaring Apung (KJA) Selat Sikakap and KJA Saruso Mudo should be improved to run the business properly. Through the IbM program, team carries out activities: (1) manufacture of hybrid dryers and performance evaluation tools, (2) introduction of tools to partners, and (3) conduct training on organizational governance, bookkeeping and marketing. The results show that the partners are very helpful in doing the business of salted fish production in the presence of hybrid dryers. The introduced hybrid dryers have a size of 220 cm x 90 cm x 100 cm (p x l x t) with solar and Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) energy sources. In addition, through this activity there is an increased knowledge and skills of KJA groups in terms of organizational governance and financial management as well as business marketing strategies. We analyzed the infestation levels of Excorallana berbicensis on Acestrorhynchus falcirostris, Ageneiosus ucayalensis, Geophagus proximus, Hemiodus unimaculatus, Psectrogaster falcata and Serrasalmus gibbus in a reservoir in the Araguari River basin, northern Brazil, during the dry and rainy seasons. For P. falcata, the infestation levels due to E. berbicensis were greater during the rainy season. For all the species studied, the peak parasite prevalence was in the month of highest rainfall levels and there were two peaks of parasite abundance: one in the month with highest rainfall level and the other in the month of transition from the rainy season to the dry season. In these hosts, around 70% of the E. berbicensis specimens were collected during the rainy season. The body conditions of the hosts also did not suffer any seasonal influence. Despite the differences in seasonal rainfall levels, there was no fluctuation in transparency, turbidity, pH, electric conductivity, temperature and dissolved oxygen levels in the water, due to the stability of these parameters during the seasonal cycle investigated in this artificial Amazon ecosystem. This was the first report on the seasonality of infestation by E. berbicensis associated with fish.

The aim is to determine the optimum combination of inorganic fertilizer and organic materials for increasing the productivity of rice crop (Oryza sativa L.). The experiment was conducted in February- June 2015 in Kebadu, Sanggau, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The study area was located at 00°0.08,785’N north latitude and 110°0.07,175’E east longitude with ultisol soil; the altitude is 32 m above sea level, rainfall level ranges between 185-267 mm month-1, and the solar radiation is 375.49- 452.58 cal cm-2 day-1. This study used a factorial randomized block design. The first factor was the inorganic fertilization (without fertilizer, inorganic fertilizer 50%, 100%, and 150%) and the second factor was the addition of organic materials (EM4 2 l ha-1, chicken manure 2 t ha-1, and manure 2 t ha-1 + EM4 2 l ha-1). Results showed that the application of chicken manure and a combination of chicken manure+EM4 could reduce the need for inorganic fertilizer NPK by up to 50% with productivity that ranged from 4.18-4.20 t ha-1; this is relatively similar to 100% and 150% inorganic fertilizer NPK, and can increase the harvest by up to 68% compared to the no-NPK inorganic fertilizer.
