This is an ethnography study which aimed to find out the real condition of poverty in Indonesia. Preliminary study showed that there are massive social impacts in the new normal due to COVID-19. There are three kinds of poverty that can be seen in real terms namely extreme poverty, absolute poverty, and relative poverty. Moreover, when viewed from the biblical approach, there are two words used that helped us in our research on poverty, namely "race” = “poor people" and "dal” which is more translated as “weaker” than “poor”. The Bible does not state a single view on poverty but mentioned some Bible passages. The first is idleness poverty. This poverty is caused by laziness or negligence over personal responsibility to look for means to meet needs. The Bible uses ants as an opposite example of laziness in the book of Proverbs 6:6. The second is theodise poverty. This poverty is illustrated by Job who was stripped off of his riches, yet he was able to accept and embrace whatever the Lord gave to him.

Cigarettes is related with culture and people's behavior. In almost all countries it has become a serious problem because of its negative impact on health, but the number of smokers increasing year by year. In fact, the community has considered it as a lifestyle, social intimacy (social behaviour), and some even have made it part of certain traditional ceremonies, So behavioral change is an important thing to stop smoking or reduce the danger of negative impact of smoking. The main problem is how to change community behavioral to reduce negative impact of cigaret? This research aimed to identify and analyze the factors that caused a person to be active smoker, and what is the most appropriate strategy to reduce the negative impacts of smoking according to the real condition. The method used was the combination of inductive and deductive approaches. Data collection via questionnare and experts discussion. The analysis used were SAST and ECM . The analysis results showed there are three main factors to stop smoking : health, economic reasons, and family encouragement. While the best strategy to reduce negative impact of cigarette is government affirmative policy and building hexa helix collaboration involving business actors, academics, government, society, market and the media.

Abstract Educational institutions are facilities where each person spends many years of their life. Desks used in these institutions are designed with specific features of shape, material and size. Long-term use of desks in educational institutions may be the cause of damage to the health of users if they are not carefully designed and dimensioned. In compliance with the prescribed rules and dimensions in the design of desks it is of great importance for proper development of the users that are in the stage of growth and development when using this type of desk. In this paper, the functional dimensions of real samples of desks taken from primary schools in the Municipality of Aerodrom – Skopje will be measured. The testing samples of desks will be designated to the group that they belong to according to the EN 1729-1:2006 standard, and all requested dimensions according to the standard will be measured. The purpose of this work is to show the real condition of desks in primary schools and whether the desks are with the requested dimensions of the EN 1729-1:2006 standard.

Contact tracing in case of pandemic is becoming an essential mitigation tool for national health services to break infection chains and preventing the virus from spreading further. To support manual tracing, several countries have been developing contact tracing apps that detect nearby mobile phones using Bluetooth. Such data collection raised privacy concerns and several privacy-preserving protocols have been proposed to prevent the leakage of personal and sensitive information. These solutions are mainly divided into two categories using a centralized or a decentralized exposure score computation. However, both approaches depict limitations. This paper presents Desire, a novel exposure notification system which leverages the best of centralized and decentralized systems. As opposed to existing contact tracing schemes, desire leverages Private Encounter Tokens (PETs) generated locally on the device that uniquely identify an encounter between two nodes while being private and unlinkable by the server. The role of the server is merely to match PETs generated by diagnosed users with the pets provided by requesting users. Our privacy risk analysis shows that Desire drastically improves privacy against malicious users (i.e., limitation of decentralized systems) and authority (i.e., limitation of centralised systems). We implemented Desire and evaluated it in real condition.

To establish an accurate sea ice model is a tremendous challenge in Arctic acoustic research. Regarding this matter, a multilayered porous sea ice model is proposed based on Biot’s theory in this paper. Assuming that the model is sandwiched between the water and air half-spaces, the reflection coefficient of an incident wave from water into ice is deduced and contrasted with the solution calculated by impedance transfer method (ITM) to demonstrate the verification of the model. Furthermore, the influences of frequency, porosity and layering on reflection coefficients are analyzed. The results reveal that the reflection coefficient is closely associated with layering and porosity. Therefore, it is reasonable and necessary to simultaneously take the layering and porosity of ice into consideration. Different from the existing layered or porous ice model, the presented model synthesizes the layered characteristic and porous structure of ice, which better portrays the real condition of sea ice. It is an improvement of the broadly used stratified or porous sea ice model, which provides ideas for further sea ice modeling.

Power is one of the most wanted things in this world. Many people compete with each other for power. Sometimes, some of them use their cunning to accomplish their desire for power. When they succeed to get it, they will do everything to maintain their positions. This research explores those kinds of issues portrayed in George Orwell’s novel entitled Animal Farm (1945). Furthermore, the research focuses on the process of how hegemony takes place in Animal Farm. Antonio Gramsci’s theory about hegemony is used to analyze the data. The research finds out that from the beginning to the end of the story, Orwell’s Animal Farm shows the system of hegemony created and developed by the pigs’ group. Old Major’s speech made the animals realized their real condition and triggered the animals to rebel against their master, Mr. Jones. Even though their rebellion succeeded to expel Mr. Jones and his men from the farm, it emerged the new supremacy of the pigs. Snowball only used consent to rule the animals. On the other hand, Napoleon used the combination of consent and coercion to rule the animals.

Cosmopolitanism is an ancient idea with a wide theoretical and critical history. Scholars across the humanities and social sciences have been examining the meaning and trajectories of this concept, showing how it spotlights ways in which people can move beyond mutual understanding and cooperation. However, cosmopolitanism does not have to refer to a transcendental ideal but rather to the material and real condition of global interdependencies. Cosmopolitanism has been connected to the philosophical concept of “becoming-world,” which develops this idea in the context of plural and ecological societies. Under this approach, cosmopolitanism turns into cosmo-politics, which fuses notions of educational and cultural creativity. From the philosophy of education and artistic education in particular, cosmopolitics seeks to outline the advances of new creative educational theories, which center on globalization, hospitality ethics, politics of inclusion, and the ecological connection between human beings and ecosystems; overall, this concept reveals the possibilities for moral, political, and social growth in the encounter with the other (human and natural). Cosmopolitics is, therefore, associated with the idea of educating with creativity, even proposing the elaboration of new pedagogical methods. Here, cosmopolitics has arisen as a crucial artistic educational orientation toward reimagining, appreciating, and learning from our common world.

BACKGROUND: Rest breaks are an organizational measure to reduce the high risk of upper limb work-related musculoskeletal disorders (UL-WMSDs) to which slaughterhouse workers are subject. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the effect of different work-rest schedules on ergonomic risk in poultry slaughterhouse workers. METHODS: A total of 36 repetitive tasks was selected in a Brazilian slaughterhouse. Using the Occupational Repetitive Action (OCRA) Checklist, the level of exposure of workers to risk factors of UL-WMSDs in two work-rest schedules was evaluated. In the real condition, 6 rest breaks of 10 minutes were performed, and in the simulated condition, 3 rest breaks of 20 minutes. RESULTS: The right side of the body presented a higher score on the OCRA Checklist (72%of the tasks) than the left side (p = 0.037) in the real condition. Additionally, the OCRA score (18.3±2.5) was significantly lower (p <  0.001) than the simulated condition (21.9±3.0). It was verified that the risk level in simulated condition remained the same in 13 (36%) tasks, while in 23 (64%) tasks there was an increase in the risk level. CONCLUSIONS: Work-rest schedule of 6 breaks of 10 minutes was better than 3 breaks of 20 minutes to reduce the risk of UL-WMSDs in poultry slaughterhouse workers.
