Abstract Based on the characteristics of intelligent manufacturing and the theory of technology diffusion, this paper constructs a cellular automata model with government support policy, information exchange, technology maturity, diffusion intermediary, and market competition as the influencing factors and analyzes the influence mechanism of the first three main factors on the diffusion of intelligent manufacturing technology in industrial clusters using MATLAB. This paper also makes an empirical analysis of the diffusion of intelligent manufacturing technology in the bearing industry cluster in Xinchang County and finds that the results are basically consistent by comparing the simulation data with the fit degree of the real data. In this paper, the diffusion intermediary and government support policy have the greatest influence on the application of intelligent manufacturing in small- and medium-sized enterprises, and the model proposed in this paper is effective.

From the perspective of the interactive cooperation among subjects, this paper portrays the process of cooperative innovation in industrial cluster, in order to capture the correlated equilibrium relationship among them. Through the utilization of two key tools, evolutionary stable strategy and replicator dynamics equations, this paper considers the cost and gains of cooperative innovation and the amount of government support as well as other factors to build and analyze a classic evolutionary game model. On this basis, the subject’s own adaptability is introduced, which is regarded as the system noise in the stochastic evolutionary game model so as to analyze the impact of adaptability on the game strategy selection. The results show that, in the first place, without considering subjects’ adaptability, their cooperation in industrial clusters depends on the cost and gains of innovative cooperation, the amount of government support, and some conditions that can promote cooperation, namely, game steady state. In the second place after the introduction of subjects’ adaptability, it will affect both game theory selection process and time, which means that the process becomes more complex, presents the nonlinear characteristics, and helps them to make faster decisions in their favor, but the final steady state remains unchanged.

The article attempts to substantiate the key approaches to the systematization of cost-driving factors from the enterprise cost management perspective (tactical and strategic) and offers a definition to a factor concept. The study presents the existing scientific approaches to the classification of cost drivers as well as an interpretation of cost-driving factors. Groups of structural factors within internal and external environment that affect enterprise costing have been identified along with revealing the character of such influence, i.e. whether they provide a direct indirect effect on the company expenditures. Given the tactical and strategic management objectives, the authors suggest systematization of all cost drivers into two groups. In particular, tactical management covers the following factors: output scale, product range, company cost management methods, qualification of personnel, and depreciation accrual. Within the scope of this study, strategically critical factors are represented by organizational business pattern of production, technology level, lack of brand awareness for domestic products, inflation rate, average salary range, low solvency, high costs for raw materials and energy, high tolls, import dependency, strong market competition, low demand, lack of government support, excessive tax burden, frequent changes in tax legislation, high loan interest rates, unfavourable investment environment, poor networking between domestic enterprises in complementary industries, small share of medium-sized businesses or small business alliances. In addition, in the frameworks of strategic cost management, the study offers to classify the cost drivers into the following groups: economic, market- or tax-based, financial and systemic. Apart from that, the relationship between individual cost-driving factors has been revealed. The findings argue that strategic cost management has a number of limitations associated with certain challenges to attain accuracy in forecasting change in factors for successive periods.

With ever-increasing market competition and advances in technology, more and more countries are prioritizing for advanced and intelligent manufacturing technology as a top priority for improving product design and reducing production waste towards promoting economic growth. Consequently, this study empirically tests the set of intelligent manufacturing elements (IMEs) that affect product design towards minimizing production waste at mineral water factories in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. The results of this study were based on the data obtained from the mixed methods represented in a questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews in the framework of the case study. The questionnaire survey already has been tested. The sample of the study was 269 respondents selected based on a stratified sampling technique. The criteria for choosing the respondents to be part of the study were based on the status of full-time employee of the organization. The findings showed that among the IMEs addressed in this study, each intelligent device and intelligent process had had a strong impact on improving product design, and hence the efficient use of manufacturing resources towards reducing manufacturing waste in the industrial organizations.

This paper is to illustrate the Cellular Differential Evolution with the cellular structure originated from Cellular automata. Cellular neighbor local search has been designed; base vector or global best in mutation operator is substituted by neighborhood-best, which overcomes the weakness of single selection relating to global best, and balances the contradiction of local and global search, and improves the diversity of population. In addition, cellular structure ensures information exchange, inheritance and diffusion. Finally, a specific algorithm has been implemented: compared with similar variants of DE, the simulation results on 9 benchmark functions demonstrate that cellular differential evolutions are provided with obvious advantages in the solution-quality, stability and speed. <b></b>

Significant institutional weaknesses of the formation of the management structure of an industry cluster are revealed, the possibility of engineering new structures of governance based on the principles of innovative management is identified. Feature of industrial clusters is the need and necessity of innovation that permeates all structures of the cluster management and all the processes of cluster management and, in turn, creates the preconditions for the formation of business entities the ability to successfully overcome a crisis situation. The purpose of the work is to develop the improved construction of innovational sectorial clustering with the use of effective centralized system of management of cluster business processes, based on diffusion of innovational technologies and their production embodiment. A typical structure of sectorial cluster management does not allow determining goals, tasks, tools, and mechanisms of innovational development of sectorial cluster’s enterprises. Drawbacks of the typical structure of sectorial cluster management are as follows: lack of representation of the scheme of cooperation between cluster members and external environment, format of development of interrelations between cluster’s elements in the sphere of information exchange, movement of material flows and financial resources, lack of formed areas of responsibility and matrices of competences of cluster members in various scenarios of development of external environment. The “structural imbalance” in the system of management of sectorial cluster is determined, which consists in elaboration of production and functional structure and “fuzziness” of responsibility for cluster activities efficiency. The use of the improved innovational construction of sectorial cluster management will eliminate structural imbalance in the process of management of sectorial clusters and increase effectiveness of their activities under the conditions of turbulent development of external environment.
