Abstract The objective of the research was to check the relationship between temperament traits as classified by Pavlov and preferences for works of music containing specified musical elements. 145 students aged 19-26 took part in the study. The respondents completed the Pavlovian Temperament Survey and a Music Preferences Form. Statistical analysis showed that all the temperament traits classified by Pavlov were related to musical elements contained in the subjects’ chosen pieces of music. The following proved to be significant in regard to the subjects’ musical preferences: Tempo, Changes in Tempo, Rhythm Values in Relation to Metrical Basis, Number of Melodic Themes, Scale of Performance, and Meter. The results are consistent with studies indicating the impact of temperament traits (related to the need for stimulation) on music preferences.

The relationship between the ROK and DPRK is bound to be affected by the two great powers—the US and China. Especially in recent decades, the power gap between the two great powers has continued to narrow. Given this, how is the geopolitical situation surrounding the Korean Peninsula shaping inter-Korean relations? This study uses event data and statistical analysis to explore the geopolitical factors that shaped inter-Korean relations from 1993 to 2019. We find that DPRK–ROK relations deteriorated as the power gap between the US and China narrowed. Also, inter-Korean relations were positive when DPRK–US relations were positive. In short, we conclude that during the shift in the US–China power distribution, maintaining positive DPRK–US relations while also managing inter-Korean relations peacefully is necessary for peace on the Korean Peninsula.

This research paper investigates the impact of centralization and decentralization on employees performance, as well as, understanding the relationship between both centralization and decentralization and employees performance. Furthermore, we used both primary data and secondary data. Questionnaires were distributed and the number of respondents were 25. We used statistical analysis to analyze the data. Reliability test was applied to measure the validity of the questionnaire. However, our results indicate that if the organization applies decentralization, there will be an increase in the employees' performance. Moreover, employees' performance will increase if the organization applies the following: quick accomplishment, easy procedures, and delegation of authority.

The technological applications offered for education are varied, providing new learning possibilities. Gamification proposals for the classroom must be constantly monitored, since their development and use does not ensure success in teaching. We study the impact of gamification in the teaching of mathematics, analyzing its role in the treatment of geometric cone and cylinder figures with 13 and 14 years old students. From a descriptive quantitative approach of quasi-experimental type, with a control and pilot group and test application, a classical and implicative statistical analysis is carried out, showing a higher percentage of correct answers from the pilot group, in the item on the relationship between the volume of the cone and the cylinder, with 96.3%, in contrast to 73.08% obtained by the control group. In addition, a behavior with a high level of similarity (84.4%) is shown between the use of virtual games and satisfactorily answering the items. This suggests that this educational medium can cause improvements in the learning of students who seem to be prone to its use.

The department of the hills is located at the center of Benin in plinth area. The water supply in this area is more and more directed towards surface water due to the hydrogeologic constraints and the impact of the climatic fluctuations. The climatological and geological data analysis made by the methods of descriptive statistical analysis made it possible to analyze the dynamics of the climatic parameters on the one hand and the behavior of the geological units to the recorded flows. The hydroclimatic study showed a deficit on the level of the climatic assessment and a decline of pluviometry since 1970. The study of the hydrogeologic characteristics carried out on 706 drillings made it possible to show the relationship between various parameters such as: thickness of change, flows end of boring and productivity of the drilling / lithology.

The growing importance of agriculture in the Brazilian economy makes it essential that agricultural companies seek to increase their logistics competitiveness. This study aimed to compare and analyze the impact of seasonality of grain harvest and specific events, such as the 2018 Brazil truck drivers’ strike, on the prices of inbound and outbound freight in a multinational company located in several Brazilian states. It focused on the CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) routes of the company between 2015 and 2019 in Brazil, and the relationship between time of year and cost of transportation. These data were analyzed in a descriptive level after being treated by statistical analysis. This study showed that the costs of outbound freight suffered greater increases compared to the inbound freight due to the seasonality of grain harvest and the 2018 Brazil truck drivers’ strike.

AbstractResearch exploring the relationship between misogyny and music has been divided between those who argue that certain music causes, confirms or is a manifestation of misogyny. Yet this often takes for granted the link between certain genres (predominantly hip hop, rap and metal) and misogynistic 'messages'. Instead of asking what types of music might be misogynistic, this article instead asks how music is discussed amongst those who actively espouse misogynistic views. Through content analysis of 1173 posts, from 6 ‘misogynistic antifeminist movement’ (MAM) forums, it shows that whilst hip hop, rap and metal genres and artists are the most commonly mentioned, there is significant variation in terms of musical preferences and justifications. Whilst masculinist lyrics were the main reasons for music preferences, this study shows how MAM communities’ musical judgments are a confluence of sonic and extra-musical discourses which are shaped and amplified within these online communities.

SUMMARYImmunoglobulin A (IgA) activity has been associated with reduced growth and fecundity of Teladorsagia circumcincta. IgA is active at the site of infection in the abomasal mucus. However, while IgA activity in abomasal mucus is not easily measured in live animals without invasive methods, IgA activity can be readily detected in the plasma, making it a potentially valuable tool in diagnosis and control. We used a Bayesian statistical analysis to quantify the relationship between mucosal and plasma IgA in sheep deliberately infected with T. circumcincta. The transfer of IgA depends on mucosal IgA activity as well as its interaction with worm number and size; together these account for over 80% of the variation in plasma IgA activity. By quantifying the impact of mucosal IgA and worm number and size on plasma IgA, we provide a tool that can allow more meaningful interpretation of plasma IgA measurements and aid the development of efficient control programmes.

It is common to oppose formalist and referentialist approaches to music. However, in Francis Dhomont's work Points de fuite, these approaches appear complementary when we consider the relationship between sounds and sources. Adopting the analytical approach of the American theorist Leonard B. Meyer, we show how the syntactic flow of Points de fuite generates formal implications through the impact of tension and relaxation archetypes. The piece explores metaphors based upon recurrent anecdotal events – the recorded signifiers of the source. These extra-musical elements define the work's structure to such an extent that they eliminate the traditional gap between formalism and referentialism in music.

This research aims to study the relationship and impact between the application of managerial innovation and the strategy of entrepreneurship in terms of (creativity, offensive competition, proactive, and risk-taking) in the Palestinian Islamic Development Company as a case study. The research followed the descriptive analytical method, based on the methodology of modeling structural equations through the use of the Advanced Statistical Analysis Program (Smart PLS3) to test the study hypotheses. The research community consists of the employees working in the company's supervisory sites, who number (80) members, and a comprehensive inventory method was chosen to collect the study data. The results of the statistical analysis proved that there is a correlation and impact between the dimension of administrative innovation and the entrepreneurial strategy for workers in the Islamic Palestinian Development Company. In addition, the results of the statistical analysis showed the acceptance of sub-assumptions between the dimension of management innovation and the dimensions of the entrepreneurial strategy in terms of (creativity, offensive competition, proactive, and risk appropriation). The impact of this research shows the necessity for the company to focus on enhancing administrative innovation and the components of the entrepreneurial strategy by removing all obstacles that prevent it from reaching individuals; by giving workers complete freedom in creating modern management methods to get rid of the rigidity of the organizational structure, and trying to create a section on innovation from Those with creative and entrepreneurial ideas in line with the requirements of the times.
