Abstract This research reports the findings derived from the identification of the difficulties exhibited by a group of 76 students from different grades of basic secondary education in a private educational institution with an emphasis on science education. The students were given a questionnaire presenting five situations based on the Position-Time graph associated with uniform rectilinear motion of particles. The research approach is of a quantitative nature at a descriptive level with a field design, since it was the students who filled in the instrument. It is highlighted as a finding in the opinion of the students that the subject has been seen in class, but due to the teacher’s methodology it is not fully understood by them. The results show that the students have a long list of difficulties mainly due to the lack of articulation of mathematical concepts in physical contexts, a situation that prevents them from analyzing the proposed statements, reasoning about the approaches, and improving in the process of searching for alternative solutions with clear arguments.

The growing importance of agriculture in the Brazilian economy makes it essential that agricultural companies seek to increase their logistics competitiveness. This study aimed to compare and analyze the impact of seasonality of grain harvest and specific events, such as the 2018 Brazil truck drivers’ strike, on the prices of inbound and outbound freight in a multinational company located in several Brazilian states. It focused on the CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) routes of the company between 2015 and 2019 in Brazil, and the relationship between time of year and cost of transportation. These data were analyzed in a descriptive level after being treated by statistical analysis. This study showed that the costs of outbound freight suffered greater increases compared to the inbound freight due to the seasonality of grain harvest and the 2018 Brazil truck drivers’ strike.

The aim of this article is to know the attitude of university students towards e-learning having age and gender as sociodemographic variables. It describes important aspects about virtual education, connectivism, e-learning model and factors about attitude towards e-learning, b-learning and its advantages. In this basic, descriptive level study, the scale of attitudes towards e-learning proposed by Mehra and Omidian (2012) consisting of 92 items (distributed on a dichotomous yes/no scale) was used, with a reliability, through Kr-20, of 0.995. The sample comprised a total of 330 medical students from a private university from the first to the fifth cycle of the degree. It was demonstrated that e-learning is a tool at the service of the teaching-learning processes that seeks interaction between the teacher and the student, developing cognitive, collaborative and self-regulatory skills in the university student. The conclusions of the research were that, regarding the sex of the students, 38.5% of the women perceived an unfavorable level and 34.2% of the men, a favorable level of attitude towards e-learning. As for the intervening variable age, 23% of the students fewer than 21 years of age perceived an unfavorable level of attitude towards e-learning. In the ease of use dimension, 44.4% of the students perceived an unfavorable level. Finally, 40.3% perceived an unfavorable level; 34.8% perceived a fair level and 24.8% a favorable level of attitude towards e-learning.

Fear and uncertainty, related to emergency health measures such as confinement by Covid-19, has generated anxiety, depression and stress. In this context, the objective of this work has been to establish the correlation between the three variables. The type of study was carried out under a quantitative approach, basic type, descriptive level, with a non-experimental cross-sectional-correlational design. The DASS-21 scale (Lovibond and Lovibond, 1995) was used to measure the variables indicated. The sample comprised a total of 440 students of Human Medicine from the first to the fifth cycle; it was composed of 173 females (39.3%) and 267 males (60.7%). The selection was made under non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The descriptive statistical findings revealed the difference in the students: males presented higher levels in the variables measured: anxiety in 58.2%; depression, 56.4% and stress, 34.8%. In the hypothesis test, the correlation between the anxiety variable and the depression variable obtained a result of Spearman's Rho = 0.804**, which is interpreted as a high positive relationship between the variables. As for the correlation between the anxiety variable and the stress variable, a Spearman's Rho = 0.893 was obtained, which is interpreted as high correlation between the variables.

The pandemic severely widened the education gap worldwide and particularly in Ecuador. As is known, the educational institutions of the different levels were affected, they suspended the face-to-face modality and implemented virtuality. This situation led the families to assume the role of support and control to the students in a direct way. Hence, this work analyzes the integration strategies used institutionally to promote the participation of families in virtual education at the initial level. The information was collected through a broad theoretical study, considering that it is a qualitative research of descriptive level and; It was analyzed using the Atlas ti 9.0 software. The data reveal that parents have difficulties to adequately support the education of their children or represented. It is also found that a high number of schoolchildren remain alone in their homes during the day or accompanied by older adults and even siblings, due to the fact that adults are involved in work activities. What has been described, leads to conclude that the deficient support of parents to schoolchildren in virtual education processes significantly affects their learning and consequently their comprehensive training.

BACKGROUND: Today, multiculturalism is present in all spheres of life. Teachers are at the forefront to first formally encounter children from different cultures, and as the first ones, children from different cultures will face it in their social life. Teachers are supposed to prepare students to meet and live with people from cultures different from their own. Hence, it is necessary to identify the competencies teachers need to work in an intercultural environment, given the globalising world where different cultures meet more often, coexist, and exchange values and ways of living. OBJECTIVE: This paper discusses the teachers’ competencies to work in an intercultural environment and presents the results from data collected within the RoMigSc project. These data are analysed to identify the competencies teachers need to work in a multicultural environment. METHODS: In the study, data from the RoMigSc survey were used, where information on the inclusion of migrant students was collected using the survey questionnaire method. All analyses in this paper are on a descriptive level with exploratory purpose. RESULTS: The results show that teachers don’t feel well prepared to support learning or teach human rights, emigration and immigration, shared values and discrimination. They also need more support in teaching in an intercultural and multicultural environment, especially out-of-school support. CONCLUSIONS: In general, teachers find their school and own practices inclusive for migrant and Roma students, but not in all aspects. None of the teachers has participated in a project to raise awareness of Roma issues.

The Corporate Social Responsibility managed by the Petroperu Company as a policy is committed to good business practices: respect for the environment and basic human rights. However, in recent years, this has been viewed with an evil eye due to the number of hydrocarbon spills or mismanagement, such as pipeline maintenance, which on many occasions has caused these spills and the fines issued to the company. However, it is well known that the company blames the same communities for the spills, this being a big lie as seen in the results of all investigations carried out for each spill. The residents complain about the serious health problems and the environmental pollution produced by these hydrocarbon spills hindering the ecosystem recovery. Many residents are hired by the company to clean up spills without the necessary protection that further affects their health due to high concentrations of lead, cadmium, and arsenic in their bodies, not counting the contamination of rivers. This affects all the towns that are connected by the basins. For this reason, the following objective has been formulated: to identify how the corporate social Responsibility of the state company Petroperú avoids environmental pollution in the Amazon region of Loreto. The methodology was based on the bivariate descriptive level; the Likert scale questionnaire was applied as the research instrument covering 50 people from the Nuevo Progresso indigenous community. The alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted based on the results obtained by the statistical diagrams in the SPSS.

The present investigation was carried out with the objective of analyzing the kinematic variables that are manifested in the kicking technique in soccer based on biomechanical efficiency criteria. It was a descriptive level investigation, with a field design, based on a case study with a 15-year-old athlete. The three-dimensional (3D) videographic method was used with the approaches: quantitative (“Human v 5.0” program) and qualitative (Likert scale). Kinematic variables were quantified by pre and posttest. Efficiency criteria were established to optimize biomechanical variables in the phases: Preparatory and Kicking. Thus, the adolescent's training was oriented according to the strengths and weaknesses identified from the biomechanical perspective, which allowed optimizing the technique of the dominant and non-dominant lower limbs. Among other results, the increase in synchronization and consequent improvement in the temporal pattern of movement stood out, which facilitated the coordination of partial impulse, and therefore the transfer of energy from the body to the ball, positively influencing the resulting speed, trajectory and precision of the ball which increased the frequency of the goal, a fact that affected the performance and profile of the young woman, standing out in the lateral position with an efficient handling of the ball by both profile.
