Abstract Environmental contamination is one of the key issues of developing countries in recent days, and several types of methods and technologies have been developed to overcome these issues. This paper highlights the importance of decontamination in a contaminated environment that normally precedes protection, detection and identification followed by medical support. Further, this paper especially focuses on individual and collective NBC decontamination required on navy ships and correspondingly presents solutions (viable and economical) through the use of indigenously developed decontamination equipment. The paper also highlights the integration of various decontamination technologies with pre-existing ship decontamination systems, indicating the need for various decontaminants. Finally, we will also focus on new decontamination systems based on nanomaterials and enzymes and their utilization.

AbstractDiversified regulation of electrons have received much attention to realize a multi-functional transistor, and it is crucial to have a considerable control over the charge carriers in transistors. Ionic gel, as the dielectric material in transistors, facilitates a large capacitance, and high induced-carrier concentrations. This review presents the recent progress in ionic-gated transistors (IGTs) that have good mechanical stability as well as high physical and chemical stability. We first briefly introduce the various applications of IGTs in sensors, neuromorphic transistors, organic transistor circuits, and health detection. Finally, the future perspectives of IGTs are discussed and some possible solutions to the challenges are also proposed.

Television viewing is a popular activity for children throughout the Western nations and in many developing countries. Although little is known about the functions of viewing, considerable evidence indicates that televised models of social behavior influences viewers' post-viewing actions. Recent advances in research on behavioral effects include field experiments and panel studies that permit use of nonexperimental causal-inference techniques. In addition, the scope of recent research has expanded to include other types of effects (e.g., children's concepts of social reality) and cognitive processing of televised information. Directions for the future include the need to (1) examine further developmental aspects of response to typical television programming and (2) study the interaction of television content with children's common contexts and experiences.
