This paper introduces the definition of polar medicine and its development history and status at home and abroad. In view of the current predicament of polar medicine, it is believed that it is of high important and urgent practical significance to strengthen the discipline construction and scientific research of polar medicine, formulate medical service standards and provide systematic medical support for polar scientific research, including systematic training of polar doctors.

The prolonged availability of seafarers on board of water vehicle during voyages forms the features of professional labor activity. When assessing the medical and sanitary situation of life and vital activity of the crew on board a ship, it is necessary to take into account a set of conditions that are integrated into a single notion — «ship environment ». The ship’s environment affects the personnel’s body for the entire period while people are on the voyage. It can cause changes in the state of health. The article presents a review of the literature devoted to the study of the influence of climatic and geographical factors accompanying maritime labor. Natural factors occupy a significant share among the large effects of the ship’s environment that affect the health of seafarers and, accordingly, their ability to work. Among them, the greatest contribution is made by temperature, physico-chemical properties of air, photoperiodic fluctuations. The homeostatic systems of the seafarers ‘ body are very closely dependent on the natural situation of the seas. These conditions impose high requirements and can cause the development of premorbid and pathological conditions. To ensure the protection of the health and working capacity of the crew, it is necessary to study the influence of external factors. The main directions for ensuring the safety and strengthening of the health of seafarers are: forecasting and prevention of health disorders, prenosological diagnostics and timely medical support, rehabilitation measures in the post-voyage period.

The article deals with the relevance of studying the phenomenon of motherhood in modern society in various aspects. It is assumed that the features of the level of psycho-emotional tension can be considered as an indicator of the actual functional state in women during pregnancy. The presence of two competing dominant foci in the perinatal period, represented as: motherhood and career, motherhood and independence, motherhood and life support of the family, motherhood and selfdevelopment, lead to the development of intrapersonal conflict. Resolution of intrapersonal conflict leads to an increase in psycho-emotional tension. Quantitative determination of the vegetative coefficient and the total deviation from the autogenic norm allows you to identify the level of psycho-emotional tension. Significant differences in the severity of the vegetative coefficient and the total deviation from the autogenic norm in women who consciously refused medical support during the period of pregnancy are described.

Abstract Wildfires have become a regular seasonal disaster across the Western region of the United States. Wildfires require a multifaceted disaster response. In addition to fire suppression, there are public health and medical needs for responders and the general population in the path of the fire, as well as a much larger population impacted by smoke. This paper describes key aspects of the health and medical response to wildfires in California, including facility evacuation and shelter medical support, with emphasis on the organization, coordination, and management of medical teams deployed to fire incident base camps. This provides 1 model of medical support and references resources to help other jurisdictions that must respond to the rising incidence of large wildland fires.

Wprowadzenie:Doula (gr. „kobieta, która służy”) to osoba przeszkolona do udzielania kobiecie i jej rodzinie wsparcia emocjonalnego, fizycznego i informacyjnego w czasie ciąży,porodu i połogu. Cel:Celem pracy jest próba analizy roli i zadań douli na płaszczyźnie zróżnicowanych potrzeb kobiet rodzących z uwzględnieniem wyników wstępnych badań dotyczących opinii i doświadczeń polskich kobiet na temat wsparcia douli w okresie okołoporodowym. Metody: Przeprowadzone badanie miało charakter wstępny. Badaniem ilościowym objęto 526 kobiet z wywiadem położniczym, w wieku od 18 do 50 lat. Próba została podzielona na grupę badaną (kobiety, które kiedykolwiek skorzystały z usług douli) N=62 i grupę kontrolną (kobiety, które nigdy nie korzystały z asysty douli) N=464. Dane zostały zebrane anonimowo, za pomocą autorskiego kwestionariusza w formie badania on-line. Dobór próby celowy. Wyniki poddano analizie statystycznej. Obliczeniawykonano w programie PQStat (wersja 1.6.6). Wyniki: Zawód douli i możliwość skorzystania z jej wsparcia w okresie okołoporodowym nie są szeroko rozpoznawane wśród badanych kobiet w Polsce. Wyniki wskazują na konieczność lepszego wsparcia rodzącej, zwłaszcza w zakresie potrzeb informacyjnych, emocjonalnych oraz wsparcia w zakresie niefarmakologicznych metod łagodzenia bólu porodowego. W opinii badanych kobiet, które korzystały z asysty douli, jej wsparcie miało korzystny wpływ na przebieg okresu okołoporodowego. Wnioski:Wydaje się, że wsparcie douli jako dodatkowa forma opieki na oddziałach położniczych powinna być traktowana bardziej otwarcie. Niezbędna jest również promocja i popularyzacja alternatywnych form wsparcia prenatalnego i poporodowego poprzez kampanie edukacyjne i promocję dedykowanych usług opiekuńczych i wspierających, takich jak usługi douli, w celu zapewnienia lepszej opieki dla kobiet w okresie około porodowym i redukcji czynników stresogennych. Przeprowadzone badania wskazują na potrzebę popularyzowania informacji o istnieniu zawodu douli oraz rozpowszechniania wiedzy o zadaniach i roli douli.

2020 saw the world affected by an unprecedented pandemic. Alongside the healthrisks, the COVID-19 pandemic has created mental health difficulties for a largenumber of people. Many people are feeling anxious or depressed, in ways that they might never have before.This eight module Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Workbook is designed to support those who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety and depression because of the COVID-19 crisis. This workbook has been created to provide psycho-education and self-help techniques to manage COVID-19 related distress.The workbook includes a variety of cognitive and behavioural strategies including;mindfulness exercises, gradual exposure to feared situations, physical coping skills, reducing unhelpful behaviours that contribute to anxiety (e.g. avoidance), reducing worry, maintaining identity and testing out beliefs about COVID-19.It is recommended that this workbook can be completed by anyone who is over the age of eighteen. The Coping During COVID-19 Workbook doesn’t replace formal psychological or medical support but may be an additional resource.

Sumber daya manusia yang ada di Instalasi Radiologi Rumah Sakit Lancang kuning Pekanbaru masih belum memadai,pendidikan dan pelatihan yang masih jarang dilakukan serta kurangnya motivasi yang diberikan kepada petugas dan SOP yang belum dilaksanakan secara maksimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk diketahuinya Analisis Kinerja Petugas DiInstalasi Radiologi Rumah Sakit Lancang Kuning Pekanbaru Tahun 2020. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan metode kualitatif. Informan penelitian berjumlah 4 orang yaitu Informan Utama terdiri dari Kepala Ruangan Radiologi dan Petugas Radiologi dan Informan Penunjang yaitu Direktur Rumah Sakit dan Kepala Bidang Pelayanan Medik atau Penunjang Medik.  Hasil penelitian diketahui jumlah SDM yang ada masih belum memadai dan perlu adanya penambahan lagi, pendidikan dan pelatihan hanya berupa seminar-seminar saja karna tidak adanya dana dari rumah sakit untuk melaksanakan pelatihan, motivasi yang diberikan atasan hanya berupa arahan saja tidak diberikan bonus, reward atau insentif kepada petugas, SOP di Instalasi Radiologi sudah ada dan sudah berjalan walaupun belum 100% karena masih terdapat kendala pada alatnya. Diharapakan SDM di Instalasi Radiologi ditambah dan diberikan pelatihan dan pendidikan sesuai kebutuhan, serta peningkatan motivasi kepada petugas.   The existing human resources in the Radiology Installation of LancangKuning Hospital in Pekanbaru are still inadequate, education and training are still rarely done as well as the lack of motivation given to officers and Standar Operasional Prosedur  that have not been carried out to the fullest. The purpose of this research is to know the Performance Analysis of Radiology Installation Officer at LancangKuning Hospital Pekanbaru in 2020. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative method approach. There were 4 research informants, namely the Main Informant consisting of the Head of the Radiology Room and Radiology Officers and Supporting Informants, namely the Hospital Director and the Head of Medical Services or Medical Support. The results of the study revealed that the number of existing human resources was still inadequate and there was a need for more additions, education and training were only in the form of seminars because there was no funding from the hospital to carry out training, motivation given by superiors was only in the form of directives, not given bonuses, rewards or incentives to officers, Standar operasional prosedur in Radiology Installation already exists and is already running even though it is not yet 100% because there are still problems with the equipment. It is expected that HR in the Radiology Installation will be added and given training and education as needed, as well as increased motivation for officers.

The article represents the issues of information and analytical support of clinicians. The article deals with the theory and practice of creating a digital subsystem of medical support for the population and a modern system for examination and treatment, the collection, storage and use of medical information in the databases of medical organizations, as well as data processing centers and situational control centers of the federal level or subjects of the Russian Federation. The basic principles of digital medicine, such as continuous development, mobility of doctors and patients, as well as the interaction of sensors and executive devices are discussed.
