The business performance is influenced by various factors such as marketing strategy and production factor. Both have important roles to improve business performance. However, the number of Troso weaving cloth decreased gradually from 2013 up to 2016. This study aims at knowing the impact of marketing strategy and production factor to the performance of small and medium enterprises on Troso weaving cloth simultaneously and partially.  The population was 180 owners of Troso weaving cloth with the sample of 64. The sample was determined by using proportionate random sampling. Then, the variables for this study consist of independent variables that are marketing strategy (X1) and production (X2) factor; and dependent variable that is business performance (Y). Based on the percentage descriptive analysis. The marketing strategy variable has influence as many as 73% with good category, while the production factor influences business performance, 61% with the moderate category. This study has found that marketing strategy and production factor have positive and significant impact partially and simultaneously to the business performance of small and medium enterprises on Troso weaving cloth.

This paper aims to develop the role of internal factors, external factors, and risk management variables on MSMEs’ business performance. This research was conducted in underdeveloped regions of five provinces, which includes 14 cities in Indonesia—East Java, West Sumatra, North Sumatra, West Nusa Tenggara, and East Nusa Tenggara. The Resource-based view and Market-based view methods were chosen to measure 1401 data of MSMEs. The data was collected using offline questionnaires then processed using SPSS. This paper demonstrates a remarkable outcome for MSMEs, showing the significant result of risk management factors that includes risk assessment of marketing and financial management. Other independent variables of internal, external, and risk management factors also show important outcomes on MSMEs performance. This paper offers additional value of the implementation of ERM in MSMEs, which are spread in underdeveloped regions in Indonesia. The findings shown that the activity of the enterprises in identifying and managing risk would bring up the significant effect on operational business performances.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to identify the factors, such as the different strategies adopted and the size of the company, that have a significant determining impact on the financial performance of companies in extreme circumstances.Design/methodology/approachThe research target of this paper is the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Hong Kong. This is quantitative research and it is done on a survey basis, which includes hypothesis setting and statistical analysis. In addition, constructive suggestions are given to companies after analyzing the current situation.FindingsIn total, ten factors from four dimensions are determined as the critical strategies for the company to adopt in an uncertain financial situation. The result shows the influence of different factors on return on investment for the companies with different backgrounds.Practical implicationsThe business environment today is full of turbulence and uncertainties; this, along with the fierce global competition, means that manufacturers are all struggling to survive. The financial tsunami that has swept across the global economy is believed to be the most catastrophic in living memory. Therefore, this research will be especially valuable and useful to companies which wish to achieve excellence in business performance in spite of such a global disaster.Originality/valueManufacturers worldwide have suffered badly from the impact of the financial tsunami. The SMEs in Hong Kong are certainly not an exception. However, under the same adverse conditions, some have been able to maintain their stability or even thrive. The findings suggest some specific corporate strategies which will enable companies to survive and remain competitive.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of Fintech on Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) capital with the P2P Lending model. The formulation of the problem is What is the impact of Fintech on MSME capital with the P2P Lending model? Research locations in the Banyumas Regency area with a concentration of 110 MSME as a research sample, with the criterion that ever or currently lending with P2P Lending system. Primary data were obtained from the results of questionnaire processing and interviews with respondents, namely MSME, while secondary data was sought from OJK, BPS, the Ministry of Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, BI, articles, and textbooks relevant to research. Data analysis methods are descriptive analysis methods, paired difference analysis and ordinary least square (OLS). The conclusion obtained in this study is a tendency to increase in the Number of Workers, Turnover, Product Sales, Profits and Business Costs after the use of Fintech with the Peer to Peer (P2P) Lending model in MSME. So venture capital loans obtained through FinTech with the P2P Lending model have a positive effect on the improvement and development of the MSME business.

WHO states that the Covid-19 virus is a pandemic, so the Indonesian government has implemented various policies to break the chain of spread of COVID-19. The prohibition of gathering or gathering is one of them, so everything must be done online and done at home. This pandemic has had a very bad impact on economic sustainability, many people have experienced a decline in income due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and many have even lost their jobs. One of the economic sectors that is feeling the impact of the pandemic is Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The Deva Bag SMEs is no exception in Jiken Village, Tulangan District, Sidoarjo Regency. With the current pandemic conditions, of course, SMEs must survive so an alternative marketing strategy is needed. Therefore, strategies such as digital marketing are needed which include sales through social media to marketplaces in an effort to increase SME turnover. So this research was conducted with the aim of providing education about digital marketing to Deva Bag SMEs in Jiken Village, Tulangan Regency. The method used is interviews and action research in the form of counseling and education about digital marketing. The activity was carried out properly and regularly, Deva Bag SMEs Desa Jiken was very enthusiastic about wanting to know more about the digital marketing system/strategy.

Social capital is a significant resource for Small and Medium-sized firms. Social Capital resources generate assets for firms which in turn contributes towards the performance of firms. The paper analyzes the relationship of Social Capital with SMEs Performance operating in Sindh. Research has investigated the impact of the personal, professional, associative, and institutional network towards performance. To attain the purpose of the paper, the data was gathered using a questionnaire from 395 entrepreneurs of SMEs of Sindh Province. The regression and correlation techniques are employed to evaluate the relationship and to investigate the hypothesis. Results revealed a significant relationship between Social Capital and Firms performance

The purpose of the article is to evaluate the factors affecting supply chain finance and the influence of supply chain finance on supply chain financing performance and SMEs performance in Vietnam. The study was conducted on 856 small and medium enterprises in Vietnam for 3 consecutive months. The data is processed by Smart PLS 3.3.6 software, the results show that credit quality, supply chain integration, information sharing, and information technology all have a statistically significant impact on supply chain finance. Besides, supply chain finance has a statistically significant impact on supply chain financing performance and SMEs performance. Finally, the innovation capability and the market response capability act as full mediators in the relationship between supply chain finance and supply chain financing performance. Based on the research results, we propose solutions and recommendations to help small and medium enterprises better access capital and improve business performance.

The objective of this research is to analyze the business performance of the small and medium enterprises (SME) textile industries in Pasar Tanah Abang, Jakarta, Indonesia in order to find out how these SME industries can survive with the competition of thousands of SME in this area. This research is to analyze the implication of innovation management as the intervening variable that influence the unique resources and market orientation used by the SME industries to improve their business performance. The collection of data is done through the distribution of questionnaire to the SME textile industries as the respondents in Pasar Tanah Abang, Jakarta, Indonesia. The method of analysis is based on descriptive and verification research, the sample determination is using Purposive Random Sampling and the data analysis is using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results indicated that unique resources has the highest significant influence compare to market orientation on the business performance. Innovation also provides a significant influence on business performance, because either unique resources and market orientation have least value if they are not enhanced innovatively to obtain competitives advantage. Understanding the customer’s needs and wants and continue with develop innovatively the company resources can obtain competitive advantage to improve the small and medium enterprises garment industries business performance.

<p class="abstract-header"><em>As Indonesia's original cultural heritage, Hand-Written Batik is one of the featured products for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Central Java. However, the printed batik industry's presence impacted the decline in the market share of hand-written batik. The entrepreneurial climate and entrepreneurial competence are factors that are believed to increase the competitiveness of hand-written batik.</em><em> </em><em>This study aims to determine and explain the effect of entrepreneurial climate on business performance with entrepreneurial competence as an intervening variable. This research is explanatory research with a quantitative approach and involves as many as 138 MSMES owners at the center of Hand-Written Batik in Bayat District, Klaten Regency as respondents. Withdrawal of samples using the Slovin formula with a confidence level of 95 percent. The sampling technique uses proportional random sampling, and data collection is done by distributing questionnaires to respondents. Data analysis using descriptive analysis and path analysis were processed using SPSS software. The results show that the entrepreneurial climate has a positive and significant influence on entrepreneurial competence, the entrepreneurial climate has a positive and significant effect on business performance, entrepreneurial competence has a positive and significant effect on business performance, and entrepreneurial competence is proven to be able to mediate the relationship between entrepreneurial climate and business performance. This means that the better the entrepreneurial climate in an MSMEs industrial center will impact MSMEs' performance if, at the same time, MSMEs owners have good entrepreneurial competence.</em></p><p class="abstrak"><em>Keywords: business performance, entrepreneurial climate, entrepreneurial competence, MSMEs</em></p>
