The aim of the study was to develop Gravity comic learning media based on Gorontalo culture for V grade Elementary School students. The type of the research was developmental referring to the design of 4-D model according to Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel (1974) which consisted of 4 stages; define, design, develop and disseminate. The results of this study indicated that the developed gravity comic are valid and could increase students’ responses to learning. This cultural-based comic introduces Gorontalo regional cultures. The percentage of the students’ active participation was 93.27% for limited trial and the average students’ active participation in field trial was 94.94%. The students’ learning result gave 86.75% of classical completeness data for the limited test class, while the field test class obtained an average percentage of 87.37%, and categorized as very good. Therefore, the developed Comic of Gravity materials was declared valid, practical and effective. In sum, it would be useful for science learning process in grade V of Elementary School.

This research was conducted based on the development of education in West Java where the development of international standard schools as an implication of globalization. The curriculum developed in these schools is more concerned with aspects of mastering a foreign language (English) in every educational process. The purpose of this study was (1) to see the dangers found in the process of acquiring a second language (Indonesian) and a third language (English) through elementary school science learning in classes using Sundanese and Indonesian as the language of instruction with classes using the language. Indonesian and English; and (2) to see the emergence of the mother tongue in the science learning process. The research subjects were elementary school students in Bandung Regency, namely in the Solokan Jeruk District and the UPI Laboratory SD Cibiru Campus. Observation data observation techniques on the learning process whose results are described qualitatively. The method of observation is carried out on situations that occur in class. The results showed that students in Solokan Jeruk District still dominantly use Sundanese in the learning process. The teacher tries to adjust the language of instruction to the students' abilities. The teacher also tries to guide students in understanding the subject matter using Indonesian. The results of research at the UPI Laboratory Elementary School Cibiru Campus show that the English language skills of the UPI Laboratory Elementary School students in Cibiru Campus are quite good. Students get to know various English vocabulary about things related to nature. However, the learning process does not seem to apply Sundanese as the language of instruction at all. The suggestion put forward is that the science learning process should not override the preservation of the Sundanese language. Sundanese language can be applied to integrated science learning in tribal languages along with Indonesian and English. It is also hoped that this can improve students' language skills in a more comprehensive manner which is adjusted to the level of student language development

The results of science learning on the concept of natural resources achieved by the fourth-grade students of Tarungin 2 Elementary School Students have not been optimal with the average score of students is below 65, the average score obtained by students is only 59.5. That is because the lecture method still dominates the learning process. Classroom action research aims to increase teacher activity, student activity, and science learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students with the STAD type cooperative learning model. This research was conduct in two cycles, for three months (January-March 2020). The research subjects were 16 students, eight males, and eight females. Retrievals of data using observation techniques, tests, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique has been carrying descriptively. The results showed that the use of the STAD type cooperative learning model had increased teacher activity in managing learning, student activities during the learning process, and student learning outcomes.

To help Elementary School students in mastering Natural Science learning materialsI and to increase their achievement in Final Examination, conventional approach is stillI '"requently used. Consequently, students-oriented learning strategies that could reflect the1 students' daily experiences are less prioritized. Nowadays, violence perpetrated by students rom lementary School to university levels either. published _or_ unpblished keps ncreasmg, Some of them are the brawl, peers defamation, and sadistic actions committedi 'Jy several students in an Elementary School in Bukittinggi. This research seeks to reveali • he effectiveness of role playing approach in Natural Science learning process in controllingI he Elementary School students' aggressiveness. This quasi experimental research applied quantitative approach. The population of he research was Elementary School students in Simpang Haru Kota Padang. By using:luster Random Sampling, the students in class IV B were chosen as the experimental' group and those in class IV A were taken as the control one. The data were obtained:hrough interview and observation. The data collected then were analyzed by usingWilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov Smirnov 2 Independent Samples.Based on the results of the research, it is figured out that: (1) the aggressiveness of.he students in the experimental class taught by using Role Playing approach in pretest fiffers from that in posttest, (2) the aggressiveness of the students in the control class taught by using conventional approach in pretest does not differ from that in posttest, and'.3) the aggressiveness of the students in the experimental class taught by using RolePlaying approach differs from that of students in the control class taught by using:onventional approach. In general, it is revealed that the aggressiveness of the students rior to the implementation of Role Playing approach was negative, but it becomes positive fter that approach is applied. Learning by utilizing technology as learning media is expected to give a pleasant, challenging, and interactive impression that contributes to the abilities of elementary school students. One of the abilities of elementary school students that are expected to develop is critical thinking skills. Critical thinking skills are the ability to observe, analyze, and evaluate previously acquired knowledge based on logical reasoning. Critical thinking skills can be developed with the help of learning media. One of the technology-based learning media that can be used is Quizizz. Quizizz is a web tool or smartphone-based application that can create interactive quizzes in the form of games used in the learning process both in and/or outside the class or in distance learning. Therefore, Quizizz is expected to contribute to the development of students’ critical thinking skills in elementary schools, especially in science learning.

Learning science in elementary schools encourages students to understand the natural environment more deeply, rationally, and scientifically. However, often the scientific concepts they believe about science topics are not in accordance with the scientific concepts they should be. This misconception is difficult for teachers to diagnose. Special instruments to identify and analyze students' misconceptions are needed. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the misconceptions of elementary school students on the topic of energy using a four-tier diagnostic instrument. The purposed-designed survey method was used in this study. The data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The participants in this study were 20 fourth grade students in an elementary school in Ciamis Regency. A total of 6 questions in the form of a four-tier diagnostic instrument were used to determine the level of students' conceptions. The results showed that the students have misconceptions about the concept of energy. This can be seen from the average percentage of students' misconceptions of 66.67%. This research is expected to contribute to alternative ways to identify and analyze students' misconceptions using the four-tier diagnostic instrument. In addition, it can be used as a reference for teachers and researchers related to the problem of misconceptions of science in elementary school students
