The physical and non-physical family environment is one of the most critical factors in student learning outcomes. This research was assessed using a mixed-method descriptive qualitative and quantitative method to see how the family environment, both physical and non-physical, with experimental science learning was conducted on 60 Junior High School students. The requirements of the respondents in this study were 30 open school students and 30 non-open school students. The results showed that: (a) family involvement motivates students when conducting experiments; (b) the feasibility of the physical environment of the family allows students to complete the experiment of making simple liquid fertilizers to the application of these fertilizers to cosmetic plants, (c) students can complete the experiment by giving directions to the online method because of the high involvement family in the learning process. Other studies state that the family environment in the form of parents ‘expectations of students’ future careers in science is the main reason for high family participation in the experimental process to provide maximum student experimental results. In conclusion, the family’s physical and non-physical environment dramatically determines and encourages students to optimize experimental science learning methods so that science education applied during the Covid-19 pandemic by studying at home can be continued and carried out experimentally. The New Normal Education Model through online and non-online methods for science learning can still be done at home, with the involvement of the family’s physical and non-physical environments that support students to complete experiment-based science learning projects. Independent learning in junior high school students can also be done by providing direct control between educators and the students’ non-physical environment, namely parents, to remain motivated.

This study aims to produce biotechnopreneurship-based science learning materials that are valid, practical, and effectiveto facilitate junior high school students’ life skills. This research is development research using a 4D development model that produces Biotechnopreneurship-based science learning materials equipped with the syllabus, lesson plan, student worksheets, life skills tests. Learning materials were tested on 35 junior high school students with the one-group pretest-posttest design. Data analysis is descriptive qualitative with the results: (a) validation of learning materials with valid categories (score 3-4); (b) readability of learning materials with good categories (c) implementation of learning in good categories (score 3.7); (d) student responses were positive; (e) students’life skills generally increase (N-gain 0.71 with high category). The indicator of Life Skills that experiences the most significant increase between pre test and post test is the aspect of making a decision. Indicators of information gathering are indicators that have a low increase after learning. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the biotechnopreneurship-based science learning materials are valid, practical, and effective to facilitate junior high school students’ life skills.

CONTINUING PUBLIC INTEREST TO STUDENTS VOCATIONAL VIEWED FROM THE SOCIO ECONOMIC FAMILY IN THE DISTRICT BANTULAbstractThe aim of this study is to find out the effects between public junior high school students’ interests in continuing their studies in vocational high schools and their families’ socio-economic in Bantul Regency. This study employed the ex post facto design. The research population comprised 7718 Grade IX students of 48 public junior high schools in the academic year of 2012/2013 in Bantul Regency. From the population, 17 junior high schools were selected as the sample, consisting of 364 students, selected by means of the proportional random sampling technique. The data were collected through a questionnaire. The data analysis techniques, namely the Pearson’s product moment correlation and multiple regression. The results of the study show that the correlation coefficient between the students environments and their interests is 0.627, the family welfare and their interests is -0.227, the educational information and their interests is -0.181, and the family need fulfilment and their interests is -0.156, and an F value of 65.037 at a significance value of 0.000 with the regression equation Y = 44.623 + 0.533X1 – 0.113X2 – 0.122X3 – 0.089X4. The independent variables have a contribution of 42% to public junior high school students’ interests in continuing their studies in vocational high.

Validity and Practicality of Integrated Science Learning Tools Based on Adobe Flash Cs6 Software on Energy and Food Themes Abstract This research is based on the existence of a gap between learning expectations and learning outcomes for junior high school physics, therefore it is necessary to improve the quality of the teaching and learning process through the development of learning tools that are in accordance with the nature of science and competency standards for junior high school graduates. This study aims to describe the validity and practicality of integrated science learning tools based on Adobe Flash CS6 software on energy and food materials. This research is an evaluative descriptive research that produces an integrated science learning media that is valid and practical for junior high school students. The resulting learning media was validated by 2 learning experts and 3 media experts using a validation sheet. The practicality of the product is determined based on the responses of 2 teachers and 20 students to the learning media collected using a response questionnaire. The research data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the learning media was declared valid, while the responses given by the teacher and students showed a positive response to the learning tools and learning media produced. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the adobe flash CS6 software media-based science learning device that was developed is valid and practical to use in integrated science learning on energy and food materials for junior high school students.
