Abstract This paper robotic process automation is highlighted in modern business environments to understand about the progression of robotic process automation and how robotic process automation has brought changes to the world of business. Adoption of robotic process automation tools has raised lots of questions, but their deployment in a business has changed the outcome of the return on investment in a business by reducing cost and time taken on repetitive tasks. The paper is differentiating robotic process automation bot from artificial intelligence and robotics for the better understanding of lay audience. The paper also gives an insight about futuristic aspects of robotic process automation and robotic process automation 2.0.

Today, various studies are going on in every part of the globe to minimize operational costs, increase efficiency, and improve the Return on Investment by almost all organizations. Technology is one of the key factors that aid in the change process happening all over the world. Today, organizations are ready to implement any technology to help them maintain their market position in this highly competitive environment. Robotic Process Automation is a technology that could be considered of prime importance. It can solve these issues in an organization once it is implemented efficiently. RPA finds use in those organizations. The amount of manual processes is more, and the works are repetitive and time-consuming. Financial institutions are among those organizations that can take advantage of having RPA improve their operational efficiency. Financial institutions contain a lot of manual and repetitive tasks in several departments. This paper is based on the study conducted to find out the key areas in which RPA can be implemented so that it helps the financial institutions to make their lending process easier.

One of the realities of modern times is the evolution of new technologies around the world, as well as the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics in different spheres of society. Artificial intelligence, which was founded in the middle of the last century, has been one of the most invested in and interesting fields in recent times. Recently one of the most discussed and important issues is the relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and intellectual property rights (IPR). Thus, the ownership of works created by artificial intelligence is one of the most discussed issues. In recent years, on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, modern achievements of world science have been applied in the life of society in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Considering all of this, the significance and urgency of the situation are clear. In other words, this is an issue that is high on both our national and international agendas. The Fourth Industrial Revolution has resulted in the disruption of the world of work whereby technological innovation such as artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics. These disruptions may be creative in that as some jobs are lost due to the development of artificial intelligence, new ones are created. This chapter explored the impact of disruptive technological innovations on the future of work. The skill gaps brought about by the emergence of the Fourth Industrial Revolution was also explored in this chapter.

This chapter looks at emerging technologies and their use in supply management processes as a means to improve effectiveness through improved speed and accuracy, at a reduced cost. Many technologies are finding their way into supply management, with differing levels of penetration and application and with mixed results. It may be challenging for supply management professionals to understand how, when, and where these technologies are likely to yield positive results. This chapter reviews several technologies, including artificial intelligence/machine learning, big data/advanced analytics, blockchain, cloud computing, conversational things (e.g., chatbots), immersive technologies (e.g., virtual and augmented reality), and robotic process automation. Findings indicate that the primary advantages are achieved by improving current processes and workflows, rather than that these technologies are currently disrupting or will fundamentally change supply management. Another important finding is the importance of “clean data” inputs, something that artificial intelligence can help with and that is foundational for successful robotic process automation.

AbstractThis paper describes the practical initiative to include Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Spanish educational system’s curriculum at an early age. This proposal is in line with the current trend of introducing AI in school curricula all over the world. To this end, we propose an Artificial Intelligence workshop for middle schools within the existing subject, Technology, Programming and Robotics. In order to test the suitability of introducing AI at an early age, we conducted the activities at a bilingual middle school in Madrid. As evaluation tools, a quiz and motivational study of the students concerning AI was carried out using Situational Motivational Scale (SIMS) before and after introducing the activities. Responses of 84 students were analysed and the conclusion was reached that it is slightly better to introduce AI at an early age.
