Title: Economic Value Of Coral Reef Ecosystem In The Kapoposang Marine Park Conservation, South SulawesiABSTRACT Assessment of economic value of ecosystems in the conservation areas is very important as a basis for consideration of management marine conservation areas. This study aims to estimate the economic value of coral reef ecosystems in Kapoposang Aquatic Tourism Park, South Sulawesi Province. AbstractThis study aims to determine the factors that influence the number of domestic and foreign tourist visits and to measure the value of willingness to pay for the benefits of tourism objects in Banda Aceh by using the Travel Cost Method Approach. The type of data used is primary and secondary data. Primary data obtained by non-probability sampling, obtained as many as 30 domestic tourists and foreign tourists as many as 30 people, with the method of analysis of ordinary least square (OLS). Secondary data was obtained from the Central Statistics Agency, Tourism Office and other study literature. The results showed that for domestic tourists, the independent variables on travel costs, alternative costs, time costs, and income had significant effect on the number of domestic tourist visits with an R² value of 0.690. In foreign tourists, the independent variables of travel costs, alternative costs, and income have a significant effect on the number of visits, while the cost of time has no effect on the value of R² 0.693. The average value of WTP of foreign tourists is greater than that of domestic tourists, namely domestic tourists with a WTP of 4,000,000 rupiahs while foreign tourists are 217,000,000 rupiah. Given the large contribution of tourism to the economic conditions in Indonesia, especially in Aceh, the government should maintain and pay attention to the conditions of tourism objects and improve tourism facilities so that tourists reach the maximum level of utility so that it will increase the value of PAPs.

This research was carried out with a survey method during August 2019 with the aim of knowing the biodiversity of target fish and their potential in the coral reef ecosystem in the waters of Maitara Island, North Maluku Province by collecting primary and secondary data in the form of coral reef conditions (lifeform), fish conditions (diversity, uniformity and dominance) as well as environmental parameter data in the form of temperature, salinity, current velocity, and brightness. The collection of data on the condition of coral reefs and fish was carried out simultaneously, namely 1 dive at each station. Visual census method is used for reef fish data. The results of visual observation of reef fish in the waters of Maitara Island found that there were 13 familyes included in the major fish group consisting of 7 familyes, 1 family of indicator fish and 5 target fish groups. The reef fish found at the observation location of station 1 consisted of 59.3% major fish groups, 24.2% target fish and 16.5% indicator fish and at station 2 reef fish consisted of 62.1 major fish groups. %, target fish is 23.8% and indicator fish is 4.1%. Overall, the results of the visual observations of reef fish showed that major fish were the most dominant, found as much as 66.7% of the target fish groups were 23.9% and indicator fish groups were 9.4%. The lack of presence of indicator fish groups shows that the fertility of the coral reef ecosystem in the waters of Maitara Island is no longer in good condition, because the indicator fish group is a type of fish that indicates good and bad parameters of coral reef conditions in the waters.

Composition and distribution of foraminifers are affected by human activities and have close association with coral reef ecosystem. The aims of this research were to investigate the benthic foraminifers’ composition and distribution in sediment of coral reef ecosystem. Eleven stations of Karang Bongkok, Pramuka, and Onrust Island were observed in this study. The sediments were taken from surface substrate up to 2 cm under the substrate. Samples were washed on sieve with mesh size 0,063 mm, and then dried in oven with 50°C of temperature  for two hours. After separating from the sediment, the foraminifers were laid on foraminiferal slide and indentified using binocular microscope. The highest composition of symbiont-bearing foraminiferal assemblages which associated with reef ecosystem was in East Pramuka (78.17%) and the lowest was in South Onrust (21,83%). The opportunistic type had the highest composition in South Onrust (38.67%) and the lowest was in South Karang Bongkok. In west Pramuka had the highest composition of heterotrophic type (57.17%) and the lowest was in North Onrust (11.33%). Onrust Island was dominated by opportunistic type, indicating high nutrient. The highest amount of foraminifers’ taxa was found in Karang Bongkok with good coral reef coverage, while the lowest in Onrust facing with Jakarta Bay. Keywords: composition, distribution, benthic foraminifers, coral reef.
