This paper presents results on species composition and distribution of seaweeds at Nai lagoon, Ninh Thua province from 2013 until 2014 at 12 sites was showed that, at Nai lagoon area we was recording 43 species of marine seaweeds, they are belonging to four divisions, as: Cyanophytes, Rhodophytes, Phaeophytes and Chlorophytes. Among them, eight species are classified in Cyanophytes (comprising 18.6% of total species); eleven species in Rhodophytes (25.6%); four species in Phaeophytes (9.3%) and twenty two species in Chlorophytes (46,5%). The species composition of marine seaweeds from Thi Nai lagoon show significant differences in the species composition as follows: 8 species (side number 4, 13 and 18) to 21 (side number 10) and average value is 12.2 species per side. The number species at dry season is 40 and rainy season is 30 (there are 30 species in of boots dry and rainy seasons) Coefficient homogeneous is oscillating from 0.10 (side number 4 and 5) to 0.66 (5 and 7). The current investigations show that 39 species of 43 species were collected in the littoral zone and 35 species in sub-littoral zone (31 species are distributing in both the tide and the sub tide). Marine algal flora in Thi Nai lagoon is represented by tropical elements as defined by Cheney.

AbstractThe marine algal flora of eastern Sorsogon has been intensively collected and is generally considered as the richest in the Philippines. A trend of species records in the area has been dominated by rhodophytes (red algae) with significantly fewer similar studies for other algal groups (green and brown algae). In this study we present an updated catalogue of the green seaweeds (Ulvophyceae) of eastern Sorsogon. A checklist, including notes on taxonomy, is given of the 103 species. Twenty-six species are newly recorded locally of which five represent new records for the Philippines: Avrainvillea amadelpha, Caulerpa buginensis, an unidentified Caulerpa species, Codium cf. latum, and one taxon new to science. The new species is described as Halimeda magnicuneata Verbruggen et Dumilag based on morpho-anatomy and DNA sequence data. The number of ulvophycean species recorded in eastern Sorsogon is found to be the highest in the Philippines. This may be a result of the high collection effort in the region, as well as eastern Sorsogon’s diverse habitats providing favourable conditions for a wide range of seaweed species.

This paper exhibites species composition and distribution of marine seaweed at 10 sites of Co To and Thanh Lan islands in May 2019. The studies record 76 species of marine algae in the area, belonging to four divisions: Cyanophytes, Rhodophytes, Ochrophytes and Chlorophytes. Among them, five species are classified into Cyanophytes (comprising 6.6% of total species); thirty-four species into Rhodophytes (44.7%); twenty-one species into Ochrophytes/Phaeophytes (27.6%) and sixteen species into Chlorophytes (21.1%). The species composition of marine seaweeds in Co To and Thanh Lan shows significant differences as follows: 22 species (sites number 4 and 10) to 58 species (site number 2) and the average value is 38.7 species per site. Sørensen similarity coefficient fluctuates from 0.33 (sites number 5 and 10) to 0.84 (sites number 1 and 3) and the average value is 0.53. The current investigations show that four species of twenty-one species are collected in the littoral zone and forty-two species in the sub-littoral zone (in which there are thirteen species distributed in both littoral zone and sub-littoral zone). The algal flora in Co To and Thanh Lan is characterized by subtropics.

Bổ sung thêm 6 loài thuộc 6 giống, 5 họ mới so với nghiên cứu trước đây. Đánh giá được đặc điểm phân bố về thành phần loài, mật độ cá thể động vật hai mảnh vỏ theo ba loại nền đáy (cát bùn, bùn cát và giá thể) và ba nhóm loài theo độ mặn (loài nước ngot, nước lợ và nước mặn). Abstract Tam Giang - Cau Hai lagoon is the largest in Southeast Asia. It is 22,000 hectares. Lagoon system is high of biodiversity, ecology and environment. According to a researcher from August 2014 to July 2015, we have identified 24 species of 19 genera of 11 families of 7 orders of bivalve (Bivalvia) to be living in Tam Giang - Cau Hai lagoon. The result added 6 new species of 6 genera of 5 orders compared with previous studies. We have appreciated distribution characteristics of species composition, density of individual animals bivalve in three categories substrata (silt, sand and substrate ) and three groups of species under salinity (species of freshwater, brackish and saltwater).

The species diversity and changes in the structural dynamics of the algal flora from the alpine lake Nesamovyte has been studied for 100 years. During the period of investigations, 234 species (245 infraspecific taxa) were revealed to cover more than 70% of the modern species composition of the studied lake. The modern biodiversity of algae is characterized by an increase in the number of widespread forms, a change from the baseline “montane” complex in comparison to the beginning of the 20th century. Nevertheless, the Nesamovyte Lake still has a unique algae composition that is typical for high-mountainous European lakes. The presence of a different complex of conventionally arctic species of algae, in particular, diatoms is discussed. Structural changes in the taxonomic composition of the algal flora of the lake as well as in the complex of the leading genera, species and their diversity are revealed. An ecological analysis of the algal species composition of the lake showed vulnerability and degradation to the ecosystem of the lake. On this basis, the issue regarding the question of protection and preservation of the algae significance and uniqueness of the flora of algae in the Nesamovyte Lake are discussed.

This paper presents the results of the study of lichen flora in swamp complexes of Sakhalin Island, obtained during expeditionary research in 2005–2009 and 2014–2020. The revealed species composition of lichens includes 172 species. The 28 of them are new for Sakhalin and 93 are new for the island swamp complexes. Bryocaulon pseudosatoanum is included in the regional and federal Red lists. Lecidea nylanderi is new to the south of the Far East. The information about substrates, habitats and locations is given for all species. The data on the distribution in the south of the Far East and, in some cases for all Far East, are listed for selected species that are new for Sakhalin Island and the south of the Far East. For the first time, a characteristic of the distribution of lichens in oligotrophic, eutrophic and mesotrophic bogs of Sakhalin Island is given.

Cryptobenthic fauna investigations are highly relevant at studying biodiversity of regions. Studies of the species composition of Gobiesocidae family were carried out in order to clarify ichthyofauna of different regions, and a new species for the Black Sea coastal zone of Crimea was found. Information about its morphology, biology, behavior and other characteristics is very important because of weak study and indeterminate taxonomic status of this species. As a result of morphological studies of the Crimean specimens no significant difference with the type of the Atlantic-Mediterranean populations has been proven. Naturalization of small-headed clingfish in coastal waters of Crimea has been confirmed and some population characteristics, such as a length-weight relationship, have been described. Peculiarities of habitat which which small-headed clingfish prefers and features of localization, enabling competitiveness have been identified. Identification keys were compiled and are given in the paper.
